Friday’s Movers, SPY Play for Monday

Friday Options Recap:

We were in pretty good shape to finish out the week on Friday with the ideas we formulated for our premarket report. We were bearish on the SPY, as we’ll continue to be today, but even the couple of calls we stuck in the mix recorded some nice intraday moves despite the overall bloodbath that occurred.

Our interests were the SPY 04/04 $524-522 Puts, the KO Weekly $73 Calls, and the JNJ Weekly $160 Calls. These were the biggest upswings they produced during Friday’s session:

SPY 04/04 $524-522 Puts
$524:
9.00-19.97 (+122%)
$523: 3.30-18.62 (+464%)
$522: 2.94-17.77 (+504%)
_____

KO Weekly $73 Calls
$73: .10-.46 (+360%)
_____

JNJ Weekly $160 Calls
$160: .56-.85 (+52%)

Fresh Options Ideas:

In the absence of any premarket earnings reporters and heavier than usual uncertainty in the air, today we’re just going to stick with the notion that SPY Puts are a safe bet, and simply update our potential strike area. We’ll go with the SPY 04/07 $499-497 Puts*.
