Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Multiple Winners & More

Marathon Patent Group, Inc. MARA

We initially brought MARA into the fold on Thursday morning, when we highlighted it in our premarket report as a bottom-bouncer. The stock had just made a considerable move of off its recent relative lows the session prior, and looked set to continue into a multi-day run.

That certainly came to pass, with a solid performance on Thursday leading into yet another for Friday. On Thursday we observed a low of .22 and a moderate run into the .30’s but Friday, things ramped up to another level with MARA running from .24-.48 for an even 100% move on the day and a total rise of 118% over a two-day span.

That’s certainly a heck of a bottom-bouncer call. If things were to progress in a similar fashion to kick off the new trading week, today MARA could be looking at the fifty-cent range or better.

Defense Technologies International, Corp. DTII

We tagged DTII in Friday morning’s extended watchlist, and were very pleased with the solid intraday performance yielded by the play. The stock ran from a low of .0042 to as high as .0075 on the day, marking a move of 79%

The PPS pop was accompanied by a considerable influx of volume, on the order of more than six times the monthly average of shares changing hands. The past two sessions, in terms of price action and liquidity, have blown all others of the past few months out of the water, so we’re interested in seeing whether the stock can sustain this level of activity moving forward.

AVEO Pharmaceuticals, Inc. AVEO

We also tagged AVEO on Friday morning for the first time in a couple years, and the stock promptly turned around and set a new 52-week high on the day.  While the move itself was relatively modest, running 31% from 1.05 to 1.38, it did occur on mammoth volume, just a hair shy of 22X times the monthly average volume.

It did lose having held more than half of its daily advance, and is gapping up slightly in the premarket today, so we’ll definitely keep a slot reserved for AVEO on our watchscreens as we kick things off today.

Bed Bath and Beyond, Inc. BBBY – Options Recap

We went bearish on Bed Bath & Beyond on Friday with a set of options contracts to follow in the wake of their disappointing quarterly results, and it turned out to be a fantastic idea.

Our targets were the BBBY Weekly $31.50-30.50 Puts and regardless of which strike point was chosen, sizable gains were there for the taking:

$31.50 Puts – Range: 1.07-2.07 – Max Gain: 93%
$31 Puts – Range: .64-1.58 – Max Gain: 147%
$30.50 Puts – Range: .31-1.05 – Max Gain: 239%

Adobe Systems Inc. ADBE – Options Recap

We signaled some options for the ADBE chain on Wednesday, and the stock finished the week strong, and we witnessed some nice gains there as well. We were looking at the ADBE 06/30 $147 & $148 Calls, and both ideas have worked out nicely thus far.

The $147’s traded up from .35-.62 (+77%) while the $148’s ran from .17-.35 (+106%). Granted the nature of Friday’s session for ADBE, and these contracts not expiring until the end of this week, we wouldn’t be at all surprised to see these gains extended before it’s all said and done.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: INMG, DRNK Recaps & More

Innovativ Media Group, Inc. INMG

When we last left off with INMG on Thursday morning, we had already seen a five session swing of 1400% over the previous week. While we certainly acknowledged the impressive gains, we stated, “the stock will peel back off of these impressive highs and that’s when we’ll be looking for what could be a serious dip-and-rip pattern.” Our assessment of the situation turned out to be very astute, and INMG experienced exactly the activity we suggested.

That morning, the stock dipped down significantly to ultimately find support at .0145, from which point it began a three-session span of recording higher lows and higher highs, leading up to yesterday’s high of .032.  The ‘rip’ in our observed dip-and-rip on INMG has thus far amounted to an added opportunity for gains of up to 121% on the upswing!

NoHo, Inc. DRNK

Continuing along with another fantastic call we made just yesterday, we’ve got DRNK, which we explicitly stated could be the next super-subpenny “to go for a big ride”. It took no time at all for our hunch to come to fruition, as it showed us a really nice move on day one.

The stock traded up from .0003 to .00051, for a 70% intraday pop, which came on more than eight times the monthly average volume with more than 800 million shares changing hands on the day. It also held half its advance into a .0004 close.

The move was helped along by a well-received PR which hit wires shortly after our morning report concerning the company’s declaration of a moratorium on conversions along with the negotiation of a debt buyout:

David Mersky, NOHO’s CEO, stated, “We have come to terms with our majority note holder to freeze conversions, which puts NOHO in a very strong position moving forward with significant developments underway. This is a strong signal of our majority debt holder’s confidence in the long term vision we have for the Company. This agreement is also a big win for our shareholders, as we continue to make changes to reduce the outstanding shares and avoid dilution as a priority moving forward.” (>>View Full PR)

We’re really going to want to keep an eye on DRNK. With a commitment to cleaning up their share structure, along with the added attention that a big move on the chart is going to bring, we won’t rule out the possibility of DRNK breaking from the super-subpenny range to the subpenny range, or even higher.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: MMEX Keeps Rolling & More

MMEX Resources Corp. MMEX

We’re looping back for yet another update on MMEX, which we’ve been mentioning quite a bit after our March 22nd alert gave us the chance to get in at a low of .0046; the stock has since gone on an exponential tear that hasn’t slowed down a bit over the past few sessions.

By our update on Friday morning, the stock had made it to just below .017, and that’s when things really took off, with the past couple of sessions providing the most intense spikes yet.

Yesterday that culminated in a new high with a solid 96% daily run from .028-.055. That brings our total observed range on MMEX in just nine trading days, to 1096%

Cyclacel Pharmaceuticals, Inc. CYCC

We highlighted CYCC as a potential bottom-play in Friday morning’s premarket report, pointing out that it was giving off a strong double-bottom signal along with having previously demonstrated potential for volatility. We turned out to be spot on with our calling the stock a prime bottom-play, as it has produced a very impressive two-day upswing since then, with the help of the release of some intriguing study data (>>View News).

Our observed range on CYCC since Friday morning is from 3.39 to 6.59, representing a 94% move, while volume yesterday absolutely exploded to the tune of more than 112X its 30-day average volume! It also closed near the high of day so we’re definitely going to want to continue tracking it as the week progresses. Dip-and-rip scenarios could certainly come into play in such a situation.

Added Notes:

While we’re on the subject of bottom-plays, we want to add a couple more to our radar this morning with Atossa Genetics, Inc. ATOS and Argos Therapeutics, Inc. ARGS.  ATOS still appears to be searching for its bottom, so we’ll  be watching for that, while ARGS has already begun to get a leg up. We’ll look for a continuation of the establishing trend on that one.

Special Reminder:
