We were faced with rather slim pickings yesterday with regard to the type of big name, large-cap earnings reporters we typically like to take advantage of, but we didn’t let that stop us from picking a couple winners to kick off the trading week. Whenever we get hit with a dry spell for earnings, we always manage to find decent plays in their stead.

Yesterday’s premarket report focused on the EDR 04/21 $22.50-25 Calls, and the SAIC 04/21 $105-110 Calls, and the intraday results we witnessed were rather good. Here’s the breakdown of their daily activity and the total percentage gains that were on the table:

We aren’t going to waste any time getting into the review of Friday’s options selections this morning because we have a lot of to cover. Of the five potential plays that we signaled interest in, all five posted positive daily returns ranging from pretty good to great!

Brookmount Explorations, Inc. BMXI – Recap: 

We’ve been monitoring BMXI this summer, beginning a few weeks ago at the end of of July. In the days following our initial alert we observed a low of .0269. We tagged the stock again Friday, and it made a really nice intraday push to new highs, running from .27 up to .4369. That move worked out to an daily pop of 62% and from our originally observed low, a massive overall increase of 1524%
