Blue Horseshoe Stocks: FDX, RAS Recaps & More

FedEx Corp. FDX

On Tuesday morning, we had a set FDX options ideas that were among our main focal points. Avid readers will recall that we signaled our interest in Weekly FDX $140-145 Calls, and over the course of the last three days, with the exception of the $140’s, each set of contracts put up noteworthy intraweek swings.

The following trading ranges represent the lows from the day of our initial calls to yesterday’s highs:

$141 Calls – Trading Range: 4.06-12.19  – Max Gain: 200%
$142 Calls – Trading Range: 3.39-14.40  – Max Gain: 325%
$143 Calls – Trading Range: 2.98-11.86  – Max Gain: 299%
$144 Calls – Trading Range: 2.55-10.65 – Max Gain: 318%
$145 Calls – Trading Range: 3.01-11.60 – Max Gain: 285%

RAIT Financial Trust  RAS

We’d also like to update our readers on the progress of RAS since we tagged it as a possible bottom play on Tuesday after noticing it recording new 52-week lows on Monday. The stock has managed to post gains for each of the three sessions since then, meaning that our timing in catching the bottom was essentially flawless.

Our observed low on RAS was 2.30, and it gradually stair-stepped its way to a high of 2.84 yesterday. That marks a steady rise of 23% and a confirmed three-day uptrend, the continued signs of which we’ll be watching for in coming sessions.

Fresh Options Idea –  Blackberry Ltd. BBRY

BBRY is gapping up on earnings beat this morning- Wall Street was expecting a fourteen-cent loss per share and the company only posted a three-cent loss per share. We’ll look to take advantage of the current conditions by looking for a dip-and-rip on BBRY. If things go as we suspect they might, we’ll want to watch Weekly 7.50-8.50 Calls for what could be significant intraday swings today.

Cardinal Resources, Inc. CDNL

We were tracking CDNL at the end of last month and the stock went on to make a nice move of 167%  as it ran from .0225 to .06. After consolidating down to a low of .03 last Tuesday, it has made another nice move to yesterday’s high of .068, another swing of 147%

We’ll keep CDNL on our radars moving forward, watching for the setting of higher highs and higher lows. There still appears to be room for the chart to grow in the near-term.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PLKD Recap, Options Idea & More

Pleasant Kids, Inc. PLKD

PLKD was far and away the best among all of the stocks we talked about in yesterday’s premarket report. We’d mentioned the fact that the stock had been on a very steady run-up since our first alert came roughly six weeks prior, on October 13th. Up until yesterday, the total observed move we witnessed in PLKD was an impressive 380% swing from .0581- .279.

Despite being up so high already we pointed out the bullishness of various aspects of the chart, specifically stating that we believed further gains were possible. Our hunch proved accurate, and once again PLKD made another nice move to the upside! From its daily low of .295 the stock pressed upward to reach .375; a healthy 27% intraday increase. That stretched our overall range to a monstrous 545% in a span of just six weeks!

MarkWest Energy Partners, L.P.  MWE – Options Idea

MWE caught our eye yesterday morning after we noticed that the stock had not only strung together multiple sessions of higher highs and higher lows, but it had breached its 50DMA during Friday’s short session. Continued bullish signals were confirmed yesterday with another solid session that carried MWE to a high of 48.21.

We’ve had enough of simply watching from the sidelines, so we thought we’d formulate an idea to take advantage of the trend using the MWE options chain. Instead of one of our characteristic weekly expiration targets, which the MWE chain does not provide, we’re going to stretch things out a bit to the MWE 12/18 $50 Calls.  This gives us an extra couple of weeks to work with and increases the likelihood of seeing some substantial moves if the stock is sluggish in testing the $50-mark.

SpectraSCIENCE, Inc. SCIE

SCIE is a play that we tagged for observation last week, and we wanted to take an opportunity this morning to update readers on the solid performance the stock has put forth.

Yesterday’s session produced chances at up to 94% in profits as SCIE ran from .0018 to .0035. Subsequent to our mention of SCIE just prior to the holiday break last week we saw a low .0013, which balloons the total move we’ve seen out of this stock in just a week to a highly respectable 169%

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: CCTC Update & More

Clean Coal Technologies, Inc. CCTC

No sooner than we were commenting on CCTC’s fantastic performance in the month of September in yesterday’s morning report, did the stock continue to bull its way to new highs. As is plain to see on the included chart snapshot, it has mostly been one positive session after another.

We had just pointed out the 142% increase CCTC had made from our observed low of .36 to Friday’s high of .87, and the stock managed to impress us again. From a daily low of .851, it cracked through a big psychological barrier at a dollar, and managed a new high of 1.07. It figured in as a 26% intraday run, and extended our total observed increase in just over a couple of weeks to 197%

The chart is now well into overbought territory, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see a bit of a pullback. In order for us to remain interested in CCTC, we’ll need to see it maintain support in the channel between .75-.65, at the lowest.

Ballard Power Systems, Inc. BLDP

A quick tag search for BLDP on our blog shows our long history with this stock, and we wanted to quickly re-mention it this morning. We most recently tagged it as a bottom-watch play on July 2nd after noticing the stock taking a big backslide. It has been mostly in a downtrend since that time, but we’re going to want to begin watching more intently.

The company inked a major deal to supply 300 buses in Foshan and Yunfu, China, with their fuel cell systems (>>View PR). According to a ‘Zacks’ article posted yesterday, BLDP’s transaction is “Valued at $17 million, and the deal will also bring in potential recurring royalties starting from 2017.”

We’ll continue to keep BLDP on our extended-term recovery watchlist.

Options Ideas For a Market Rebound

After five straight days of down markets, we’re going to be on the lookout for a rebound today. We’re seeing a gap-up here in early trading, so we wanted to venture a couple of options ideas if events play out as we expect.

We’re going to zero in on GoPro, Inc. GPRO and Facebook, Inc. FB for potential opportunities, specifically the GPRO Weekly $31-32.50 Calls, and the FB Weekly $90-91 Calls.
