Blue Horseshoe Stocks: CBDE, MCPI News & More

CBD Energy Ltd. CBDE

CBDE is a fairly new issuer, and built some serious momentum off of its bottom on Friday after the announcement of a lucrative solar farm construction contract. The company reports expected pre-tax revenues from the project amounting to more than $6 Million to be recognized in 2015, so we’re going to place this new stock on our medium-to-long term watchlist.

In the meantime, CBDE appears to be on the cusp of breaking the $4-mark this morning, which is the level at which the stock began trading just a couple of months ago. We’ll be watching for a breach of this psychological barrier, which would effectively put CBDE in Blue Sky mode, with no telling where the ceiling might come.

It should make for an interesting story to follow in the days and weeks ahead.

Med-Cannabis Pharma, Inc. MCPI

Turning focus to the marijuana space, we’ve got a new play to add to our running watchlist. It’s most interesting to us because it has a part to play in the implementation of legalization in Washington, which has been much more subdued than Colorado’s roll-out.

The madness that ensued thereafter led to months of record-breaking gains, but at the same time led to an SEC crackdown on what had become a free-for-all of false claims and hysteria. For that reason, companies involved in the more slowly unfolding Washington cannabis industry have been fewer and further between.

That’s exactly why we want to keep an eye on MCPI moving forward, despite the fact that it has already seen exponential gains; it’s confirmed that the company actually has boots on the ground in Washington, as indicated in this morning’s press release that we think you’ll want to check out:

PORT TOWNSEND, WA, Aug 04, 2014 (Marketwired via COMTEX) — Med-Cannabis Pharma, Inc. (OTCQB: MCPI), a Nevada Company specializing in Medical cannabis sales will be opening several Medical cannabis stores through its subsidiary Cannabis Hemporium in various towns on the Olympic Peninsula in the State of Washington during the month of August. The towns include Port Townsend, Port Hadlock and the Hood Canal location where work has been continuing for opening. >>> FULL PR

Side Note:

On Friday, we mentioned that we had an interest in PBR $16 Calls for this week, so we just wanted to remind readers that we would be focusing on those contracts as the trading week commences.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Marijuana Stocks & More

Transbyte Corp. ERBB

Among others, ERBB was one cannabis play to have a bang-up session on Tuesday. After we watched it make a 23% intraday move from .012-.0147 on Monday, the stock continued to push its upper boundaries, opening at .0155 and reaching as high as .0193, an added gain of 25% It closed with strength at .019 on nearly 330M shares traded; that’s well over 3x its 3mo. average volume.

Be on the lookout for where this latest rush of momentum can carry ERBB, and aware of the possibility for bounce action in the event of any pullbacks.

Growlife, Inc. PHOT & Creative Edge Nutrition, Inc. FITX

PHOT produced an exciting PR this morning that we wanted to share, as it it ties it to another of the cannabis stocks we’ve been following that has also produced mammoth gains this month, in FITX. It’s a development that will renew our interest in following the stories behind both of these stocks even more intently than before:

VaporBrands International, Inc. VAPR & Hemp, Inc. HEMP

Speaking of stocks in the marijuana sector that have joint ventures with others that we’ve covered extensively, we find VAPR. This one cropped up on our radar with a press release yesterday which ties it to another of our all-time favorite pot stocks; HEMP. The stock has been on the move for the past several sessions, so a note of caution is in order. We may find that the stock pulls back from extensive profit-taking, and in the event that occurs we will be watching closely for a bounce opportunity.

MediaTechnics Corp. MEDT

We also want to radar MEDT, a sub-penny play that has shown a capacity for quick swings in recent weeks. Over the past three sessions the stock has moved up from .0004, to as high as .0017 during trading yesterday. In early January it made a similar move from .0004-.0012, so we have a pretty good idea of the kind of volatility to expect from this play. Triple-zero stocks are known to be high risk, but a properly timed swing can lead to rapid gains for the savvy trader.

CleanPath Resources Corp. CLNP

This is another stock that falls into the high-risk/high-reward category of sub-penny momentum plays. The stock has been as low as .0002 as recently as Monday, and yesterday broke through a psychological barrier at .001, going as high as .0012. We are going to put this on our watchlist in the event of continued momentum pushing it past yesterday’s highs. Should it pull back into sub-.001 territory, we’ll be on the lookout for support and an eventual rebound.

CETV, PROW, TGRO, TSEM, ORMP, ARIA & Extended Watchlist

Central European Media Enterprises, Inc. CETV

We’ve been tracking CETV for quite some time now, having initially alerted the stock on May 10th following a routine Form-4 (Insider Trading) scan. We learned that a large block ($75M worth) of shares had just been purchased by none other than Time Warner, and took notice immediately. We observed the stock make a monster move of 147% before being subjected to a large gap-down (hit 52-week low @ 2.03) at the end of October.

We decided to re-alert the stock on November 13th, by which time it was trading as low as 2.12. Since then, it has been stair-stepping its way back up, having seen highs in the high 3.20’s last week. We’re looking for a breach of the 50 and 200DMA’s (3.48, 3.86 respectively), following which the filling of that large gap on the chart could result in further significant increases.

Progress Watch Corp. PROW

On Friday, we mentioned that we were looking for a break of a key resistance areat on PROW, the 200DMA residing in the .007’s, and the stock indeed surpassed and held above that mark into the close. After opening at .0065, PROW would see a subsequent high of .0098, an intraday run of 51% on more than 5x its 3mo. average volume.

We warned of PROW’s extremely tight share structure, which allows for significant increases on relatively small amounts of buying pressure. The stock demonstrated our point quite succinctly.

Tiger Oil & Energy, Inc. TGRO

Also appearing in Friday’s report was another of our recent favorites in TGRO, a stock which has afforded us ample opportunities in the two weeks that we’ve been tracking it. With our first alert coming exactly two weeks ago, the stock has run from a low .36, all the way up to 1.08, good for a mega-gain of 200%

For those who may have only caught Friday’s alert, there was still the chance to make up to 43% in profit from TGRO’s daily low of  .755 to the 1.08 high.

Extended Watchlist Winners

Friday’s Extended Watchlist also included a few choice picks that put up very respectable sessions to close out the week.

Tower Semiconductor Ltd. TSEM enjoyed a nice move of 26% trading in its daily range from 6.00 to 7.53.

Oramed Pharmaceuticals, Inc. ORMP spiked 36% running from 10.05 to 13.69.

ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, Inc. ARIA has been an Extended Watchlist mainstay since Nov. 12th, being as low as 2.31. Friday’s high of 7.75 represents a great run of 236% in just a little over five weeks.
