Blue Horseshoe Stocks: CETV, HIDC

Central European Media Enterprises Ltd. CETV

CETV came to our attention on Friday as a part of a scan we conducted for companies with a recent Form 4 filing. We mentioned that the insider, who purchased nearly $75M in CETV stock at 2.75/share, in this case was Time Warner, and how interested we were to continue to follow that storyline.

After trading as low as 2.67 on Friday, we are seeing pre-market trades this morning taking CETV as high as 2.95. A pretty good start, although we are currently viewing this as a longer-term play. We will continue to monitor this stock for the foreseeable future.

Harbor Island Development Corp. HIDC

This momentum play just broke out of a sideways channel and came off of its bottom, so we thought we’d pass it along this morning. HIDC broke through its 10DMA yesterday at .006, and we’d like to see that hold as support. The next resistance is at the 20DMA of .016. As you can see on the included chart below, the stock is coming off of being oversold, so we want to monitor carefully for a continuation of the recovery which began yesterday.

STKO, FWDG, TEGY & Extended Watchlist

Stakool, Inc. STKO

We first mentioned STKO back on April 4th, at which time the stock was trading all the way down in the .0002 area. Not much happened in the days following, but we continued to monitor the stock, and were rewarded for our patience. Earlier this week, the company announced the appointment of a new CEO, as you’ll see in the PR below.

The stock followed up the news with two days of heavy volume, as well as chances for gain on each day. Wednesday, we saw the low still at .0002, and then trade as high as .0006. Then on Thursday, we saw a range from .0003 up to .0006 once again.

Since we’ve already seen chances for gains ranging from 100%-200%, should the stock have trouble surmounting .0006, it may be a good idea for us to lock in profits and wait for the dip that precedes the next swing.

FutureWorld Energy, Inc. FWDG

We are putting FWDG on PR watch. In an 8-K filed Tuesday, the company alluded to a potential acquisition in the works, so we definitely want to keep our ear to the tracks, and monitor for any updates that may be forthcoming.

From Tuesday’s 8-K:

We hope to close this acquisition as soon as we get clearance from our counsels. Thereafter, we will update our shareholders accordingly.

Transact Energy Corp. TEGY

TEGY makes our alerts as a possible momentum play, after having a big volume day yesterday accompanied by a significant move to the upside. We have this stock on watch today for a possible continuation of that momentum on the heels of this morning’s PR.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas, April 19, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — TransAct Energy Corp. (OTCQB: TEGY) announced today it has initiated the permitting/permissions process for the development of its Scotland based 500 tonne per day Energy from Waste plant. The process to secure a Part A permit under section 5.5 of the Pollution Prevention and Control (Scotland) Regulations 2012 Applications namely “Production of fuel from Waste” is underway. The permissions required from the municipal authority with jurisdiction over the plant, West Lothian Council, will be sought at the same time.

Side Note:
After a successful day playing options on AAPL on Thursday, and using its high volatility to our advantage, we are going to be looking for similar action in the Puts and Calls today. We are lowering our strike prices to $390 and $395, as it becomes easier to realize gains, the closer to the money you get. Hopefully this will help us put an exclamation point on what has been a very fruitful week for us. We’ll see you all on Monday, Happy Trading, and Good Luck Out There!

Extended Watchlist:
STWG, CPRX, OCZ, CRME,

MWIP, SCXN, & Extended Watchlist

MediSwipe, Inc. MWIP

MWIP closed at its high of day on Friday of a penny on record volume since Sept. ’11. High volume at heightened prices is often a signal that new investors are accumulating the stock, churning out the flippers and profit takers from lower levels.

It’s always a good idea to lock in profits when we have the chance to do so, and we certainly have given everyone that chance, with yesterday’s high representing a 317% rise from the low since we began talking about MWIP.

As stated in Friday’s report, the next key resistance point is going to come at .0125. With the way MWIP closed on Friday, we wouldn’t be surprised to see a continuation of momentum into today’s session.

Typically a gap up is followed by some profit taking, so we’d really like to see support hold at a penny, in the event it dips back to fill that gap.

Scout Exploration, Inc. SCXN

SCXN is new to our reports today. In October, this stock was as low as a nickel, and it caught our attention on Friday after hitting a new 52-wk of .39, trading record volume in the process, to tune of more than 6X it’s 3mo. average.

Scout Exploration has a really interesting backstory- The company has been developing an ‘Oil-Spill Response System’ for the better part of 5 years now. In a nutshell, it has developed a line of unmanned first-response vessels that can be deployed via aircraft, as opposed to traditional implements which are deposited at the spill site by sea. In effect, it is their aim to greatly decrease response time of spill remediation. Faster response times could make a world of difference in dealing with the type of accident that spreads and worsens every minute it goes un-contained.

That’s why we are interested in watching SCXN move forward with this great idea, because it serves a real need. After seeing the kind of devastation caused in the Gulf of Mexico from the recent BP catastrophe and the mishandling of the clean-up, we think it’s about time that someone developed a faster, better way of facilitating rapid and effective action when the unthinkable occurs. SCXN is in the process of doing just that, and we’ll be watching with fingers crossed, because their success would mean something of great significance, not just for the stock but for the world at large.
