Blue Horseshoe Stocks: INCC Update, AAPL, NEWL & Extended Watchlist

International Consolidated Companies, Inc. INCC

Our anticipation of a possible dip-and-rip scenario on INCC yesterday proved to be warranted, and the stock actually provided us with a number of intraday swings.

To start the day off, the stock made two significant moves, each time running 25% from .0032-.004. Toward midday we witnessed another dip to .003, and a subsequent rip on up to .0039, adding another 30% in potential gains. Finally, we saw one last swing from .0033-.0039, an 18% move, which brought our possible gains for the session to a cumulative total of 98%

INCC put in quite a good performance for a first day alert, and we’ll monitoring this one as the week progresses for the same type of volatility that offered us those chances to profit on Monday.

Apple, Inc. AAPL

Last Wednesday, we commented on the Apple-Beats rumor, as well as speculating that AAPL could be in for a run-up, and that has certainly come to pass. Our call of 604.40 as a pivot point proved accurate, as we stated that a break of that level had the potential to give way to more significant gains.

That brings us up to yesterday’s session, where AAPL went on to set a new 52-week high at 607.33. We expect AAPL Calls to continue to do well in the midst of this uptrend, and as our regular rteaders are aware, we’ve made astonishing gains from the AAPL Options Chain in the past.

NewLead Holdings Ltd. NEWL

Sometimes in the course of attempting to track to biggest potential gainers, we find that it can take several sessions for a pick to mature. Such was the case with NEWL, as we showed up slightly early to the party. The most important thing, however, was that we showed up.

We began tracking NEWL for a bottom a couple of Fridays ago, and while we were attempting to sniff out a low, the company announced a significant 1-for-50 reverse split. As the stock attempts to normalize following that major development, we are seeing a massive surge in both PPS and volume.

We will definitely be tracking NEWL more closely following this cleaning up of the share structure, as well as other developments that have been recently announced.

A Word on the Apple-Beats Rumor

If you read or watch the news, chances are you’ve caught wind of the rumors surrounding Apple’s potential acquisition of Beats Electronics, purveyor of the vastly popular Beats by Dre brand of upscale headphones and speakers. It has certainly sent investors scrambling in recent days, as people attempt to ascertain the effects of a proposed $3.2B deal that would trump any of Apple’s acquisitions to date.

Price targets from some analysts are ranging from $600 to over $750/share when all is said and done. We’re not in the game of speculating that far ahead, but given the current conditions of the chart, if AAPL can break its previous swing high of $604.40, we could be in for another major run.

Some of our longer-term readers might recall latter half of last year, when we achieved possible percentage gains numbering in the thousands trading AAPL options as the stock trended up for several months culminating in December.

As with any rumor, we always need to consider the possibility that one or both parties will back away, but assuming it does go through, it could be one of the top stories in finance for many months to come. The deal would make Dr. Dre the world’s first hip-hop billionaire, and would conceivably outfit many if not all future Apple devices with one of the more popular names in audio.  This is definitely a storyline that we feel is worth following, so stay tuned.

_________

Pernix Therapeutics Holdings, Inc. PTX

We’ve got PTX on watch today after a morning PR (PERNIX Signs Agreement to Acquire TREXIMET® Tablets for Migraine From GSK) has caused the stock to gap up over 40% in morning trading to its highest levels since March.

In situations like these, we often see a couple of things; after the upward momentum has died out the stock could be a target for shorters. Profit-takers can also contribute to a reversal, which always has the possibility of allowing us to take advantage of dip-and-rip opportunities.

______

Arotech Corp. ARTX

ARTX is another gapper, continues to rise in pre-market trading today on the strength of increased earnings outlined in a post-market PR yesterday.

The situation remains the same as previously mentioned; we like to monitor these types of plays, because sniping gains from stocks in this situation has become our bread-and-butter. No volatile run can sustain itself indefinitely, always leading to a subsequent course correction, and we like to lay in wait for the perfect time to pounce.

OXBT, PROW, RNN, BYD & Extended Watchlist

Oxygen Biotherapeutics, Inc. OXBT

Our readers who have been with us since October will remember OXBT, and that we were fortunate enough to catch it at a low of 1.46 before it steamrolled its way up to 11.40, affording us the chance at gains of 681% We re-tagged it on December 19thafter the consolidation off of the initial spike brought the stock back to find a bottom at 4.20. Our timing on that alert ended being spot-on, as the pattern reversed and OXBT began to ascend once more. As of Friday, the stock had reached a high of 7.40, which represents a gain of 76% from the recent 4.20 low.High volume and a strong close at 7.35 for Friday’s session will ensure OXBT a spot on our watchlists as we kick off this new trading week.

Progress Watch Corp. PROW

We pointed out the Golden Cross in progress for PROW on Friday, and despite already having witnessed gains in excess of 515% from .0065 to Thursday’s high of .04 (Initial alert- 12/20/13) we were able to reap further profits as the stock continued to uptrend, topping out at .048 and settling back only slightly to close at .0472. That high pushed our max gains on PROW to 638% in less than a month’s time. Congrats to anyone to has been able to take advantage of this rapid-gainer.

As is the case with any stock that rises so quickly, we’ll need to execute our trades with tight stops, and be on the lookout for signs of a reversal while still remaining open to the possibility of a continued breakout.

Rexhan Pharmaceuticals, Inc. RNN

We’ve followed RNN from December 11th (Low .4026) onward, and have been duly rewarded for our persistence. Friday, we reminded everyone to be on the lookout for more solid gains, as we had already followed the stock up over 90% and were witnessing some heavy pre-market trading pushing the price even higher. RNN would go on to touch a new high for us at 1.19, which represents a gain of 196% from our initial alert low from just a month ago.

This took place on well over 15x the 3mo. average volume, with a healthy close at 1.14, so we’ll be watching RNN carefully today. Like our previously mentioned plays, RNN has been gaining a lot of ground over a short period of time, and should be monitored closely. Perhaps more so than the others, a quick peek at the chart shows it beginning to look overbought. Vigilance is key! In the event of a pullback, we’d like to see RNN hold support somewhere above the .80-level.

Boyd Gaming Corp. BYD

We want to add BYD to our watchlist today. We haven’t mentioned this one before, but are interested in both the building chart, and the sector in which the company operates. BYD operates over twenty gaming entertainment properties across Nevada, New Jersey, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.

Gaming stocks were a hot ticket in 2013, and with online gaming now being permitted in Nevada, Delaware, and New Jersey, some folks believe that national regulation is ‘in the cards’. The gaming sector, both online and brick-and-mortar, is going to be one to watch intently in 2014.
