Blue Horseshoe Stocks: BYD, EAPH, PHOT & More

Boyd Gaming Corp. BYD

We put BYD on our radar back in January, and shortly thereafter, the stock found its way to a low of 9.11. We continued tracking it in February, where it quickly recovered ground and began trending up.

Recently (03/05), the company released favorable fourth quarter and annual financials, the highlights of which included repayment of over $500M in debt, elimination of $60M annually in interest expense, net revs for the fourth quarter increased by almost 10%, and more.

Yesterday we observed a new high of 14.15 from BYD, which represents a gain of 55% from the low we saw roughly six weeks ago.

Easton Pharmaceuticals, Inc. EAPH

Many of our readers will recall, we’ve been on EAPH for awhile now, mentioning it for the first time back on January 8th, catching it at a low of .0041. That subpenny marijuana play would go on to hit ten cents, gaining more than 2300% in roughly a month’s time. After a period of consolidation, EAPH tapered back to .0327 where we would see it bounce.

We mentioned EAPH once again yesterday as part of a joint press release with GLCO, and the stock went on to have a great session, running to .06, an intraday gain of 83%

Check out this video outlining our coverage of the stock:

Growlife, Inc. PHOT

We first began alerting PHOT last summer at a low of .0318, even though our coverage of the marijuana industry as a whole started a year prior, in 2012. After PHOT tacked on more than 100% in gains from August to October ’13, we re-alerted the stock under a dime, reminding our readers that a “Golden Cross” appeared imminent.

The rest, as they say, is history. PHOT has spent the past few months rampaging upwards like an un-caged beast, culminating in a high of .549 during a bang-up session yesterday. For those without a calculator handy, that brings the overall move we’ve seen from PHOT to a staggering 1626%

Extended Watchlist:
NHPI, PIHN, CPST, RAD, DGAZ, BGMD

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PLUG, OSLH, BLDP & More

Ballard Power Systems, Inc. BLDP

BLDP appeared in yesterday’s extended watchlist, but it wasn’t even close to its first appearance in our reports. We constantly receive reminders to follow our daily extended watchlist plays closely, in the form of big increases and chances to profit. BLDP is a shining example of this concept, a stock that we’ve tracked since March of last year. Shortly following that time, we would see a low of .76, and the stock has never looked back.

Over the past year BLDP gradually rose up until recently it began to gain ground much quicker. At the start of 2014, the stock was trading in the 1.55-range. Since then it has taken off, culminating in a new high of 7.38 yesterday. Our total possible gain on BLDP yesterday was 31% however, from our original alert low on this stock we’ve seen a huge increase of 871%

As far as options trading ideas go, we are looking at the BLDP 03/22 $6 and $7 Calls.

OSL Holdings, Inc. OSLH

We kicked off a new trading week in grand fashion by tagging OSLH in yesterday’s morning report. The company had released a PR outlining its entry into the legal cannabis sector, and the stock would go on to have a great session.

After opening at .0899, the stock touched a low of .089 before running up to .19 in the afternoon. That move marked an intraday gain opportunity of up to 113% on roughly 28x the 3-month average volume. Congratulations to anyone who was able to take advantage of our timely alert!

Plug Power, Inc. PLUG

Leading up to yesterday morning’s report including old favorite, PLUG, was already one of our all-time standouts. The stock had made an unreal 7129% gain from our first ever mention (@.1155) just over a year ago, to Friday’s top mark at 8.35.

Seeing a low of 8.57 before bulling its way to a new high of 11.41 yesterday, PLUG accounted for an intraday gain of 33%

The overall increase from our first-ever alert would be pushed even higher, to a mind-numbing 9778%

Extended Watchlist:
FCEL, LJPC, CPST, ZBB, SCON, RCON, NVAX

PLUG, BLDP, MACK & Extended Watchlist

Plug Power, Inc. PLUG

We had a feeling that PLUG was going to continue its run yesterday, as stated in our daily report, and once again our instincts served us well. The momentum built up in this stock on Wednesday as it made a 23% move to close out the session on more than 6x the 3mo. average volume was impossible to ignore.

After opening at the key resistance point we outlined (1.45) PLUG briefly dipped to 1.43 and then barreled upward as it touched a high of 1.96, an intraday gain of 37% on roughly 14x the average volume. The momentum continued to build in PLUG and we continued to follow along closely. Remember, our coverage of this play goes back a long way, since the stock was trading in the .11-range.

This morning, the stock is gapping up above 2.00. The current pre-market high of 2.19 represents a gain of 1804% from the low following our first ever PLUG alert back on Feb 28th. The gain from our recent re-alert at a low of 1.04, at this morning’s high, stands at 111%

PLUG has certainly surpassed any expectations we had for it, and as you can see on the chart below, it appears currently overbought, which means the time to take profits off of the table is fast approaching. For newcomers, we believe the best action would be to patiently await a dip, and subsequent rebound, as has occurred several times this year.

Ballard Power Systems, Inc. BLDP

BLDP appeared on our extended watchlist on Wednesday, at which time the stock was trading at a low of 1.34. This morning, we are witnessing a gap-up on a PR that hit the wire post-market yesterday, with trades currently going off in the 1.80-range. We’ll want to keep an eye on the activity here as we close out the week, so we’re reserving a spot on our tickers for BLDP.

Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, Inc. MACK

MACK is another play we’ve been tracking recently, mentioning it for the first time on November 8th, when it was trading as low as 2.40. Like the previous play, MACK is gapping up this morning to the tune of more than 100% with shares changing hands for more than 4.80.
