Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Roundup & More

Options Roundup

We had good fortune with our fresh options call yesterday, so today we’re going to be recapping the total possible gains on those plays, as well as unearthing a couple of fresh ideas to add to the mix as we close out this trading week.

Delta Air Lines, Inc. DAL – Recap – Our inkling on DAL yesterday morning was to go bearish after a disappointing earnings call for the airline, with the DAL Weekly $55.50-53.50 Puts. We were not disappointed with our decision to do so, as those DAL puts went on to log the following double and multi-bag intraday moves for us before lunch hour was over:

$55.50 Puts – Range: .76-1.60 – Max Gain: 110%
$55 Puts – Range: .48-1.05 – Max Gain: 119%
$54.50 Puts – Range: .25-.65 – Max Gain: 160%
$54 Puts – Range: .13-.36 – Max Gain: 177%
$53.50 Calls – Range: .03-.17 – Max Gain: 466%
______

Advanced Micro Devices Inc. AMD

Speaking of bearish options ideas, we want to enter another fresh set into the log this morning in AMD. This stock trades very cyclically, and from a technical perspective, looks as if it could continue to lose ground after a reversal this week. We’re going to place the AMD 07/21 $14-13 Puts on watch into next week in the event that our impression of this play is correct.
______

BJ’s Restaurants, Inc. BJRI

Lastly on the options front, we are going to signal a range of extended-term calls on BJRI, which has a pretty attractive bottom setup on the chart at the moment. To take advantage of a potential sustained rebound, we’re going to be monitoring the BJRI 08/18 $35 & 40 Calls.
_____

Bonus Idea: NTNX 7/21 $20-25 Calls

Diana Containerships. Inc. DCIX

DCIX went into a full-on nose dive recently after it was announced that the company would be taking out roughly an $85M loan to settle a monster pile of debt, and the investment community did not take the news well.

The stock has subsequently fallen to new all-time lows, and that’s where we come in. We’re always looking for stocks like this to put on bottom-watch. Being egregiously oversold, DCIX may yet have a bit further to fall, but we’ll want to be ready for a reversal at any time. The resulting bounce-back could be considerable.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: MSDI Recap, PEP Options & More

Monster Digital, Inc. MSDI

We re-tagged MSDI for observation in yesterday morning’s premarket watchlist, and the stock ended up making a pretty good jump right out of the starting gate on a surge of huge volume to new new highs. This is a play that we first mentioned a few weeks back on June 19th, when it was trading in the .40-.50 range.

Yesterday it initially ran from 1.53 to its new high of 2.35 for an intraday swing of 54% though it didn’t manage to hold much of its advance into the close. Still, when all was said and done, MSDI ended up being the NASDAQ’s top gainer of the day, traded nearly sixty times its monthly average volume, and extended our total observed range since our first alert to a very respectable 408%

Pepsico, Inc. PEP – Options Ideas

Pepsi has been on a bit of a downturn of late, and despite its bearish moves of the past couple of weeks, we took notice of the fact that it has come down to rest around its 50-day moving average. The last time the stock spent any appreciable amount of time trading below that average, was more than four months ago.

Compound that with a chance for a boost from its scheduled quarterly earnings call next week (07/11), and it makes us interested to track some PEP options on the chance that the stock makes a rebound as we suspect it might.

We’ll take a look at the PEP Weekly $115 Calls for potential day/swing trades this week, and keep tabs on the PEP 07/14 $116 and $117 Calls in the event of a run into and/or following earnings this coming Tuesday.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Cannabis Updates, Options & More

OWC Pharmaceutical Research Corp. OWCP

We hardly need to tell our regular readers that we caught and alerted OWCP last Thursday at a low of .0045, because it has appeared in every single one of our premarket reports since then.

It’s rare to come across a multi-day runner of any duration, but one that continues for the span of an entire week without so much as a hiccup is really something special. Yesterday the stock parlayed its four-day head of steam into another great intraday run from .0261-.0468, a jump 79%  That new high represented an overall five-session swing totaling 940%

Huge cheers go out to anyone who has participated in this epic run, which is part of the cannabis space, a sector that we’ve been tracking more closely as the landscape has been heating up. We’ll continue to track OWCP, not only for the potential of continued momentum, but for the eventual consolidation and subsequent bounceplay that’s sure to arise when that occurs.

Cannabis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. CNBX

Speaking of the cannabis space, another related play that appeared in yesterday’s report went on to have itself quite a nice single-session performance.

CNBX traded in a daily range from a low of .06 to .0819 on more than triple the monthly average volume, and closed at that high. That was good for a 37% move, and with the bullish close to consider, we’ll certainly want to keep a close eye on CNBX for the possibility of continued momentum.

Catalyst Pharmaceuticals, Inc. CPRX

We’d also like to take a minute to update readers on the performance of CPRX over the past couple of weeks, a stock that we tagged for observation back on September 16th. On that day we observed a low of .99, and CPRX hasn’t dipped below that point since.

Over the past couple of sessions, things have really ramped up, with the stock setting a new high of 1.58 yesterday, up 60% from our witnessed low. That occurred on the third highest traded volume in the stock’s history, and the highest number of shares traded in a single day since 2013.

Aurinia Pharmceuticals, Inc. AUPH

While we’re on the topic of pharma plays we’ve tagged recently that have taken off to new highs, we also have to make mention of AUPH. We placed this stock on watch in Monday morning‘s report, and the ensuing run has been solid enough to warrant continued observation.

From a low of 3.07, the stock traded up to 4.13 (+35%) on roughly four times the monthly average volume, and is gapping up this morning to around $5, extending that figure even higher.

Fresh Options Idea – Disney Co. DIS

We like the current setup of the DIS chart, and the chances for a long-term recovery, so we want to signal a range of extended term options calls to correspond with that.

We’re going to radar the DIS 11/11 $94-96 Calls and keep track over them in the weeks ahead. .
