Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Zillow on a Roll

Zillow Group, Inc. Z – Update

We’ve been tracking Zillow since last Wednesday, at which time the stock was trading at a low of 27.92. We were prompted to highlight the play after noticing some big Form-4 submissions near the bottom, with a large gap to the upside on the chart. That morning we signaled the Z 01/18 $30-40 Calls which have produced some really nice gains so far.

The stock itself, after 6 consecutive green days, attained a high of 37.20 yesterday, which marked a 33% increase in just over a week’s time. That’s fantastic volatility for a stock in this price range. That activity has led to some mind-numbing gains in our group of tracked contracts.

The following figures are the ranges  and total possible gains on those from last Wednesday, through yesterday’s highs:

$30 Calls – Range: 1.57-7.43 – Max Gain: 373%
$35 Calls – Range: .57-3.70 – Max Gain: 549%
$40 Calls – Range: .10-1.45 – Max Gain: 1350%

Bottom Watchlist

We also have a couple of longer-term bottom watch plays that we wanted to include in today’s report and monitor for potential rebounds going forward.

We are looking at both Bio-Path Holdings (BPTH) and Ampio Pharmaceitucals (AMPE) in a similar fashion today. Neither stock has shown a great deal of volatility of late, hovering around their recent relative lows for some time. Both charts also boast gaps to the upside. We’ll place this pair on recovery watch in the weeks ahead.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: IZEA Recap & More

Izea Worldwide, Inc. IZEA

IZEA is a stock that we have been following for several weeks. We highlighted this play back on August 12th, and would subsequently observe a low of 1.04. In two definitive pushes, the stock has gained quite a bit of ground over roughly the past six weeks.

Yesterday it managed a new high of 3.00, which marks an overall increase from its mid-August low of 188%

Snap, Inc. SNAP

We’re always scraping the barrel for a good bottom play, and we want to place SNAP on watch for just that reason this morning.

A thirteen dollar stock just two months ago as you can see on the included chart snapshot, SNAP has now fallen below the eight dollar mark, and is egregiously oversold at the present time. We’ll keep tabs on this play moving forward, as a rebound appears imminent at some point in the near future.

Comstock Mining Inc. LODE

Lastly, we want to backtrack to Monday’s report, in which we designated LODE as a stock to watch.  It certainly was something to see this week as it ran from a low of .1201 to as high as .315. That’s a 162% intraweek push.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: HPE, AEO Earnings Ideas & More

DSW, Inc. DSW – Recap

Among our fresh options trading ideas from yesterday morning were the DSW 09/21 $30 & $35 Calls. We noticed the company reported strong quarterly figures, and took advantage.

There were two separate intraday opportunities to be had in the $30 Calls, which first went from 3.00-4.30 (+43%), pulled back, and made another similar move from 2.25-3.30 (+46%). The $35 Calls fared the best, producing a chance at gains of up to 138% as they ran from .40-.95.

More Fresh Options Ideas:
Hewlett Packard Enterprise Co. HPE Weekly $16.50 & $17 Calls
American Eagle Outfitters Inc. AEO Weekly $28-26.50 Puts

CEL-SCI Corp. CVM

We also wanted to quickly make mention of CVM, which we tagged for observation one week ago today. The stock has since produced a notable bullish push. Its low of 1.36 gave way to a new high of 2.46 yesterday, marking a one week upswing of 81%

The move filled the majority of the large gap on the chart, but not quite completely, so we’ll leave the stock on our radar to see if it can continue its recent uptrend.
