Blue Horseshoe Stocks: MULE is Kicking & More

MuleSoft, Inc. MULE

We try to include mentions of all sorts of stocks from nano-caps all the way up to the big boards, and there can be no doubt we’ve found success with plays across the entire spectrum.  Generally, when we catch a stock for a large gain over a short time period, it trades for pennies a share or less. However MULE is yet another example of a higher priced stock that we recently put on our radar, making a series of big jumps in just over a month.

When we initially tagged this play back on February 16th, it was trading as low as 28.51. After a very bullish month was followed up by another big spike this week, MULE has kicked its way all the way up to 42.40, an impressive increase of 49%

The move was catalyzed by yesterday’s announcement that the company would be acquired in full by Salesforce. Generally you don’t get a sustained push from a buyout, so we wouldn’t be surprised if the stock didn’t go much higher, but we’ll keep an eye peeled just in case.

Aytu BioScience, Inc. AYTU

We’re going to place AYTU on watch this morning as a potential bottom bounce play. The stock produced abnormally high volume yesterday along with a marginal spike in PPS.

As you can see on the chart below, AYTU saw a precipitous decline in February, and has been oversold all month long, yet still maintaining support in the low to mid .40’s. Indicators suggest the possibility of a recovery on the horizon, so we”ll go ahead and monitor the activity here in the days ahead.

Fresh Options Idea:

General Mills Inc. GIS – General Mills has been in trouble on the chart for quite some time, and despite it already being at 3-year lows, the stock is continuing to get crushed on the heels of a disappointing earnings report. Accordingly, we’re going to be tracking the GIS 04/20 $50-45 Puts.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: GERN Recap & More

Geron Corp. GERN – Recap
It’s all well and good to seek out stocks that are set to make a big jump overnight, but slower growth plays also interest us greatly. GERN is an example of a stock that we tagged near the beginning of last month (02.05) which has performed well over an extended period of several weeks.

Subsequent to our tag of GERN, the stock saw a low of 2.025, and in a series of small, incremental daily gains, it steadily made its way up to a high of 4.47 yesterday, representing an increase of 121%. That’s a very respectable gain in roughly a six week period.

Wheeler Real Estate Investment Trust, Inc. WHLR

We want to take this opportunity to place WHLR on watch as a potential bottom-play. The stock has been greatly abused over the past several months, falling well below all its moving averages, and reaching egregiously oversold territory. There is also a fairly large gap on chart to the upside, something for which we routinely look.

We’ll keep an eye on WHLR in sessions to come looking for the confirmation of a bounce. It certainly has plenty of room to run when that occurs, so keep a sharp eye out.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: ENPH Review & More

Enphase Energy, Inc. ENPH – Review

We have been exceedingly pleased with the recent performance of ENPH, which, despite recent volatility in the markets at large, has been on an incredible bull run for several weeks. We alerted our readers to ENPH’s momentum on the last day of February, and in the two trading weeks since then, the stock has barely skipped a beat.

From a low of 3.07 on the morning of our initial alert, we’ve seen ENPH steadily rise, leading to a new high of 4.74 on Friday. That works out to a very solid run of 54% In the last week especially , the stock showed little sign of slowing down, so we’ll be interested to see where its fortunes take it this week.

Walmart, Inc. WMT – Options Review

We’ve been tracking a wide range of extended-term WMT Calls since the middle of last week, the WMT 04/20 $95-97.50 Calls. We wanted to provide a quick update on the moves we had witnessed by the end of the week.

At the bottom of the range, the $95 Calls ran from .25 to .51 for a gain of 104%  At the top, we saw the $97.50’s rise from .11 to .24, a 118% rip. The four sets of contracts in between those two also produced opportunities at commensurate profits. With plenty of time prior to expiration, we’ll leave these contracts on our radar and continue to monitor them as we kick off a fresh trading week.
