Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Tons of Options

Options Updates

Late last week, we selected a few contracts in the Facebook and Twitter options chains for longer-term ideas. The FB 10/12 $182.50-190 Calls, and the TWTR 10/12 $35 & 37.50 Calls. While they haven’t blown their lids quite yet, we wanted to reiterate our interest in tracking these over a longer time period.

The somewhat nominal gains achieved so far are as follows:
FB 10/12 $182.50’s: .53-.80 (+51%) | $185’s: 40-.54 (+35%)
TWTR 10/12 $35’s: .33-.52 (+56%) | $37.50’s: .28-.40 (43%)

We’ll continue to track these ranges, as there is still plenty of time for them to begin realizing their full potential. What we’ve seen to this point may be just the beginning.

FRESH IDEAS:

To add to our social media related options ideas, we also see SNAP coming off of a recent bottom, and will signal the SNAP 10/05 $9 & 9.50 Calls for observation as the stock attempts to mount a recovery of recent losses.
____

With a major category-4 hurricane currently inbound for the Carolina coastline this week, we’re also going to highlight some plays in Home Depot and Lowes Home Improvement, which tend to see surges in the wake of storms big enough to require extensive cleanup and repairs. According to all predictive models, Hurricane Florence definitely fits that bill.

HD Weekly $212.50 & 215 Calls
LOW Weekly $114-115 Calls

Bonus Idea:
BHC Weekly $21-22.50 Calls

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: TSLA Rebound & More

Tesla, Inc. TSLA

We’re looikng at TSLA from a purely technical perspective, not paying much mind to the company’s reduction in standard available vehicle colors to simplify production, especially since the removed colors are still available at a small added cost.

The stock has recently shown signs of a bottom-bounce, and we’re going to want to be ready with some options trading possibilities if it can mount a reasonable rebound. We’re going to put the TSLA 10/06 $285-290 Calls on watch in the days and weeks ahead.

Tilray Inc. TLRY

We also wanted to backtrack a tad to our summer coverage of TLRY. We tagged this stock in our watchlist several times between July 20th and the present. Our observed low was at 21.50, and in an incredible multi-week run, the stock subsequently reached a high of 97.36! That’s an eye popping 353% which, for that to occur in a $20+ stock in roughly six weeks time is practically unheard-of!

To provide another related idea going forward, we’re going to begin tracking the TLRY 09/21 $91-93 Calls in forthcoming sessions.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: BABA Options & More

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd BABA – Options

To kick off this brand new trading week, we are interested in tracking a range of calls in the BABA chain, after shares dipped on the news that co-Founder Jack Ma will be stepping down and handing full control over to the CEO effect next year.

The reactionary selloff may provide us with some solid options trading chances, so we are going to keep an eye on the BABA 10/12 $165 & 167.50 Calls in the days and weeks ahead.

OPKO Health Inc. OPK

Shares of OPK took a bath on Friday, briefly falling below the stock’s 200DMA, and closing well in the red on the day. We’re going to signal our interest in tracking OPK as a bottom-watch play.

The stock is approaching extremely oversold territory, and in the midst of its downturn we observed some Form-4 submissions, with insiders buying up shares on Friday as the bottom fell out.

That suggests a confidence that it may not have much further to fall, so we will want to hang around as OPK searches for a bottom and solid rebound point.
