Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Updates on IGC, MY, NEWL & Extended Watchlist

Extended Watchlist Winners:
Yesterday’s Extended Watchlist unearthed a couple of gems, so let’s start things off today by congratulating those who were able to capitalize on the ample chances to profit that these plays offered:

India Globalization Capital, Inc. (IGC)

IGC rewarded us for our attention with a bullish session that saw its low before 10am and ran into the close. From a daily low of 1.27, the stock pushed its way all the way up to 2.08, a highly respectable 64% intraday move, with a couple of vital swings in between that could have been timed for even more opportunities.

It did so on roughly 40x its 3-month average volume, giving us another clue that this could be a play with continued momentum. Even now, in early pre-market trading the stock has run as high as the 2.20’s so we’ll be on the lookout for one of two things; either the momentum carries it further, or profit-taking causes a pullback, in which case we’d be watching for a classic dip-and-rip on the rebound.

If the severity of yesterday’s swing action on the chart spills over into today, there could in fact be several intraday moves that we may be able to use to our advantage.

China Ming Yang Wind Power Group Limited (MY)

The other success from yesterday’s watchlist was MY. This play was one of the most gradual gainers you’re likely to see. Following its daily low of 2.83 it stair-stepped its way into the close at its high of day at 3.63. That was good for a solid intraday gain of 28% on more than four times the 3-month average volume.

Much like the previously mentioned play, we’ll be looking for MY to possibly continue its upward movement today after settling down from what appears to be another pre-market gap-up. In morning trading so far, the stock has pushed past yesterday’s high; if we see another dip-and-rip today it will be the third consecutive session in which one has occurred.

NewLead Holdings Ltd. NEWL

As we stated yesterday, we’ve been following NEWL for awhile now, and the recovery we’re seeing off of its recent bottom of .3867 has sprouted into a multi-day run that has been nothing short of impressive.

The stock gained even more ground following our morning report, wherein we mentioned that we wanted to see a break of the pre-market high of 4.20. We got that and more, as NEWL went on to reach 4.79 with volume 15x greater than normal.

Modest intraday gains of 26% were possible with NEWL yesterday, but the truly impressive figure is the five-session increase we’ve now witnessed from the above-mentioned low to yesterday’s high, which stood at 1138%

The stock also landed us in the Penny Stock Rumble for the day’s largest dollar-volume pick, with more than $160M worth of shares changing hands on the day.

Added Comments:

The markets as a whole had their best day all month on Wednesday, and it translated into gains for us. The overall sentiment is that conditions should remain favorable as long as the Fed holds off on any changes in interest rates. Following the revelation that there would be no increase at this time, the following four major players began to run:

FB, GOGO, PCLN, TSLA

We’ll be monitoring the Options Call action on all of these big-board plays for continued momentum today.

Extended Watchlist:
RENN, ROYL, CTIC, NIHD, LIQD

INO, SUNE & Extended Watchlist

Inovio Pharmaceuticals, Inc. INO
We followed INO through the big spike it had back in late July, and have observed as the stock came back to find a bottom. We’re beginning to see some bounce action as it  came down as low as 1.22 on Tuesday, and since then has managed two straight days of higher lows and higher highs.

A return to July’s swing high (3.03) from the current 1.60 range would yield gains approaching 90%

SunEdison, Inc. SUNE
SUNE appeared on yesterday morning’s extended watchlist and went on to have a decent session. The stock saw an increase of 8% from 7.75-8.35.

The stock appears to be gapping up this morning.

Extended Watchlist:
RENN, STXS, PNTR, CLSN, MTPR (Momentum Play)

GRPR, BRND & Extended Watchlist

Grid Petroleum Corp. GRPR
GRPR has behaved exactly as we hoped it would this week. We alerted the stock as a momentum play in Wednesday’s extended watchlist, at which time it was trading as low as .0013. It broke a key resistance point at .0016 and closed at .0017. This led us to include it in it in yesterday morning’s pre-market report. The stock would go on to see a high of .0029 on 12X the 3mo. average volume, marking a 123% in just two days time.

With the kind of volume we saw in GRPR yesterday, it still qualifies as a momentum play, so we’ll be monitoring the situation closely during today’s trading.

Premier Brands, Inc. BRND
BRND made a massive move for us when we first put it on our watchlist on July 10th. After a recent consolidation following that big run, yesterday we saw the stock make a nice bounce off of the 50DMA. If it can break above the penny–mark, we like BRND’s chances of providing us with some additional gains.

Side Note:
AAPL $455 Calls have provided several daytrading opportunities this week, and there’s a good chance that we see the volatility continue today. They closed at $2.96 yesterday.

LNKD dropped their earnings after the close yesterday, and this morning the stock is gapping up, so we’ll be looking at in-the-money Calls at $225 and $230.

Extended Watchlist:
ALSK, ZLCS, RENN, BIOD, SORL,

NVIV, CVM, IWEB & Extended Watchlist

InVivo Therapeutics Holdings Corp. NVIV

NVIV has traded as low as 4.84 since the first time we talked about it back on Monday, July 15th, and after just five trading days, hit a high of 6.20 this past Monday.

We’re going to have this stock on our longer-term watchlist moving forward, and would like to see the stock maintain support above 5.00. The technologies they have developed have the potential to be game-changers in the field of spinal cord injury treatment.

Earlier this month, InVivo announced it would be teaming up with the New York Mets to create Major League Baseball’s first Spinal Cord Injury Awareness Day on Sunday, September 15th at Citi Field when the New York Mets host the Miami Marlins at 1:10 p.m. ET.

CEL-SCI Corp. CVM

We want to add CVM to our radars this morning. The stock hit its 52-low of .16 just prior to the closing bell yesterday afternoon, and this morning the company had some fresh news hit the wires. We want to watch this one closely, as conditions like these can often lead to significant bottom bounces.

Today’s PR:

CEL-SCI Corporation (NYSE MKT: CVM) announces the publication of the results of influenza studies by researchers from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and CEL-SCI in the Journal of Clinical Investigation, a leading journal for discoveries in basic and clinical biomedical research (2013 J Clin Invest. doi: 10.1172/JCI67550 2013, supplemental information at www.jci.org/articles/view/67550). The studies described in the publication show that when CEL-SCI’s investigational J-LEAPS Influenza Virus treatments were used “in vitro” to activate immune cells called dendritic cells (DCs), these activated dendritic cells, when injected into influenza infected mice, arrested the progression of lethal influenza virus infection in these mice. >>> FULL STORY

IceWEB, Inc. IWEB

Yesterday morning we stated our hope that IWEB would break through resistance at .0355- it did that and more. After touching an early morning low of .032, the stock went on a 22% intraday run, with shares trading at .039 at their peak.

In addition, the stock closed with strength (.036), above previous resistance at .0355, maintaining more than half of its daily gains on over 5X its 3mo. average volume, which is often a bullish signal.

From the low following our original alert of IWEB at .023, yesterday’s high represents an overall move of 70% Since that time, the cumulative gains attained by IWEB have amounted to more than 115% in possible profits.

BARCHART.COM has also upgraded its opinion of IWEB to a 72% Overall “Buy” Rating.

Extended Watchlist:
VPLM, DANG, RENN, XRX,

CLNO, SPY Options & Extended Watchlist

Cleantech Transit, Inc. CLNO

This is the stuff that penny-traders’ dreams are made of- CLNO has been an absolute powerhouse ever since we first alerted it at .0055. A mind-boggling 4972% (@ yesterday’s high) later, and we are still talking about this stock on nearly a daily basis.

Even for those of you who didn’t catch this one from the very beginning of our coverage are faring extremely well. If you just showed up to the party, from this week’s low of .10, yesterday’s .279 high represented a 179% move.

We want to congratulate anyone who has been able to make gains in any amount off of CLNO. Lately doing so has seemed like shooting fish in a barrel. We are currently in uncharted territory- every uptick we see from here is a new all-time high. As with any stock in blue sky breakout mode, we want to remain open to taking advantage of a continuance of the trend, while at the same time being on a sharp lookout for any course-corrective pullbacks, which are obviously common in such a situation.

Options Trading – SPY Calls

We’ve hit the nail on the head with every selection of SPY Calls we’ve made this week. In every instance there have been opportunities to make significant profits. Take yesterday’s report for instance. We stated that: “We are going to look at moving our strike price to $159-160, and possibly even $161 should yesterday’s trend continue.”

The $160 Calls, in the first hour of trading, went from 1.28-2.00 (+56%), then dipped as low as 1.35 before surging back to 1.82 (+35%), bringing us total intraday gains of up to 91%.

The $161 Calls went from .69-1.17 (+70%), and another move from .68-1.03 (+51%). In total that gave us a chance at gains of up to 121% intraday.

Since we’ve had so much success with SPY Calls this week, and have seen such a significant uptrend, we want to remain on alert. We could see a decrease in buying pressure in the overall markets as we head into a holiday week, which could lead to a reversal in the SPY. We would of course then be turning our focus to the $161 Puts.
