Moleculin Biotech, Inc. MBRX – Recap

We highlighted this play at the end of last month, and shortly thereafter we would observe a low of .7772. Last week, MBRX reached a new high of 1.47, which translates to a gain of 89% in roughly three weeks’ time.

The move, which filled the entirety of the topside gap on the chart, was due to Thursday’s revelation that the company’s drug Annamycin had received the FDA’s Approval for fast-track designation. At 4:30PM on Wednesday, MBRX officials will conduct a call to discuss this and other developments on a live webcast, which will be available in the Investor Relations section at www.moleculin.com.

Petroleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) PBR – Recap

One of the ideas we had formulated toward the end of last week was the PBR Weekly $14 & 14.50 Calls. We mentioned in Friday morning’s premarket report that we expected the already solid gains we had seen the previous session to be expanded upon, and our assumption was accurate.

We saw epic new highs out of both of our tracked sets of contracts. The $14 Calls from our observed low of .21 on Thursday, saw a new high of .78 Friday for a two-day run of 271% The $14.50′s, which we had caught at a low of .05, ran to .29 for an impressive 480% move over the same span.

Updated Idea:
We’re going to update our idea to some weekly calls for this week and roll up our strike range. Provided PBR can hold its 50DMA of 14.32, we’ll be looking to the PBR Weekly $14.50-15.50 Calls.

Extended Watchlist Recaps:

We’ve been doing things the same way for several years now, issuing our daily ‘Extended Watchlist’ for ideas that don’t get featured, but are stil noteworthy enough to keep watch over. Two such plays that we’ve recently signaled came away from last week with some decent progress.

Epizyme, Inc. EPZM – EPZM was included in Friday’s extended watchlist and it had a very nice intraday push, helped along by solid jobs numbers which led to a good day for the markets as a whole. EPZM traded in a range from 6.40 up to 8.19, a solid 28% jump.
____

Scientific Games Corp. SGMS – On December 14th we included SGMS in our premarket report, and it has made steady and significant headway since that time, trading up from a low of 14.79 to a new high of 19.43 on Friday. A 31% move in a stock in this price range is a pretty darn good move through a few weeks of the holiday season.  We’ll continue to keep an eye on this, which has become a solid momentum mover.

Fresh Options Ideas

We’ve formulated a few new angles of approach with respect to options ideas that we’re going to share this morning, each with its own specific reason for appearing attractive at the present time.

United Parcel Service, Inc. UPS

We’re going to be taking a look at a range of medium-term UPS contracts, namely the April 8th $104 Calls, which we feel have a good chance at performing well in coming weeks on account of a number of factors.

The shipping sector as a whole is currently doing well due to boosted online sales, as top competitor FedEx’s reported earnings yesterday certainly reflected. We also like the look of the UPS chart from a technical perspective, as the following annotations demonstrate:

We also learned this week that the company is going to be increasing the size of its CNG (compressed natural gas) powered fleet, including an infrastructure build-out of several new CNG stations to support it. (>> VIEW PR)

SeaWorld Entertainment, Inc. SEAS

We also are going to be monitoring a range of Seaworld options, once again due to a fresh news release, as well as an attractive chart setup. As you can see on the provided snapshot, SEAS is showing a multiple bottom formation, and if it can continue to rebound off of its recent relative lows, appears to have a shot at a nice rebound over the next few weeks if history is any indicator.

We’re going to be watching the SEAS April 15th $18 Calls, which last traded at .16. If SEAS can rebound to the upper $19 range by that expiration date, the gains on these contracts could realistically approach ten-bagger territory.

SeaWorld, which has been under fire for years over their Killer Whale shows, has just announced that it will immediately cease its orca breeding programs, beginning a phase-out of the theatrical dog-and-pony-style performances and shift toward more natural displays. (>>View PR)

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: SDOC Recap & More

SandRidge Energy, Inc. SDOC

Our mention of SDOC in Friday’s premarket report turned out to very well-timed. We’ve had the stock on our radars since early this year, and  pushed it to the back burner for awhile, having so many other items of interest on the table.

We circled back around to it on Friday, just in time to catch a solid single session performance as the stock ran from a low of a nickel up to .0674; that works out to a 35% intraday increase on fairly heavy volume.

We’ll continue to keep an eye on SDOC, which appears to be ready to gap-up slightly today, for a breach of the 50DMA at .08.

Celldex Therapeutics, Inc. CLDX

We’re going to tag CLDX this morning as a bottom-watch play with serious rebound potential. Our bottom-feeder alerts are sounding loudly as we’re seeing the stock take an absolute nosedive on news of the cancellation of the company’s late-stage brain tumor vaccine study.

We’re always on the lookout for knee-jerk selloffs (which often transition into recovery plays), and CLDX has lost roughly half its value solely on the perceived effect of the announcement.

It’s worth it to mention that the company still has seven clinical trials underway on other products, so the discontinued project is by no means the only thing in the company’s pipeline.

We’ll be interested to track the action in CLDX in coming sessions as investors adjust to this morning’s events.

Extended Watchlist:
DCLT, PVAH, GDPM, WRES, LNCO, BBEP, CLF, KEG

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PZOO News, Options & More

Voltari Corp. VLTC

Leading into this week, VLTC had been under consolidation following its epic run to new 52-week highs earlier in April. On Wednesday, the stock ultimately found support at 8.14 and by the time it had reached its daily high yesterday the stock had rebounded back to 11.65, a 43% swing.

VLTC did maintain the majority of its daily gains into the close yesterday. and this morning the stock is gapping up quite substantially with a premarket high of 12.34 already having printed.

There appears to be a key area of resistance around $14, and we’ll want to see VLTC hold support at or above its recent swing low of 8.14 on any pullbacks, in order to keep our interest.

Fresh Options Ideas:

We’ve got a few candidates for potential options trades as we close out the week. Please note that we’re referring to Weekly Calls which are on the cusp of expiration, so these would be for quick-trigger daytrades only. For swing trades into next week, one could look at 05/08 or 05/15 contracts.

FireEye, Inc. FEYE - $42-$43.50 Calls

Skyworks Solyutions, Inc. SWKS - $94.50-$96 Calls

Pazoo, Inc. PZOO

We want to touch base with PZOO this morning as we’re noticing a new PR hitting the wires. The stock consolidated for the first time in nearly a month this week, coming down off its recent high of .0204. Yesterday it held a penny as support and, we’ll want to see the stock maintain above that level as the week draws to a close.

TODAY’S NEWS:WHIPPANY, N.J., May 1, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Pazoo, Inc. (OTC:PZOO), is pleased to announce that members of its staff will be attending several investment and marijuana conferences over the month of May.
