Blue Horseshoe Stocks: FPVD Breaks Out & More

Force Protection Video Equipment Corp. FPVD

We were just mentioning how we wanted to stay on FPVD’s trail yesterday morning, after the stock had shown us a nice 64% move on Tuesday.

We identified .036 as a key point of resistance that we wanted to see broken, and not only did that happen, but the stock smashed through and kept on running to an impressive new high.

It traded in a range from .022 on up to a nickel, for an intraday gain of 127% which occurred on roughly 7 times the three-month average volume. From our observed low on Tuesday, it represented a session-over-session swing of 198%

The previous resistance we mentioned at .036 will now be the level FPVD will need to hold support at or above in order to maintain our attention going forward.

Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. WMT – Options Idea

We’ve had some excellent fortune recently with earnings-related options plays in the retail sector, and the opportunity to take advantage of yet another one may be ready to present itself today in the form of WMT.

Increased revenue for the quarter has led the retail giant to increase guidance for the remainder of the year, and the news is causing a notable gap-up here in the premarket. As the activity unfolds, we’ll be looking to possibly take advantage of WMT Weekly $73.50-76 Calls.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: OPTT, MSFT Recaps & More

Ocean Power Technologies, Inc. OPTT

It was June 16th when OPTT started appearing on our scans, and subsequent to that, we’ve witnessed the stock trading as low as 2.33.

The stock has really been ramping up the intensity in recent sessions, causing us to tag it on Monday (low of 5.72), and then again in yesterday’s report. OPTT had a really nice intraday performance in yesterday’s session, wherein traders could have banked up to 97% in gains as it ran from 7.94 to a new high of 15.65.

From our alert on Monday, that high represents an upswing of 174%, and from our overall observed low from last month, a PPS increase of 572%  For us to stay keen on OPTT moving forward, we’ll want to see it hold at Tuesday’s swing high of 9.87 on any forthcoming pullbacks.

Microsoft Corp. MSFT – Options Update

With MSFT’s recent aquisition of LNKD and an exciting earnings beat yesterday, MSFT was causing a buzz on the Street. We honed in on some corresponding options ideas for a potential daytrading opportunity, and it unsurprisingly turned out quite well in our favor.

The specific range we highlighted was the MSFT Weekly $54.50-56.50 Calls and the total possible gains on each were as follows:

$54.50 Calls – Range: 1.16-2.31 – Max Gain: 99%
$55 Calls – Range: .76-1.86 – Max Gain: 148%
$55.50 Calls – Range: .46-1.36 – Max Gain: 196%
$56 Calls – Range:  .24-.95 – Max Gain: 296%
$56.50 Calls – Range: .10-57 – Max Gain: 470%

We’ll continue to trail these contracts for the remainder of the week, as further opportunities may be present.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: SGBY, MAXD Updates & More

MaxSound Corp. MAXD

Yesterday, we mentioned how we caught MAXD on Friday morning for a timely 49% rip as the stock ran from .0043 to .0064 that afternoon.

The show was only just beginning, as MAXD broke out of the gate and ran from its opening price of .0065 up to a new high of .0098, recording a 51% intraday upswing, and bringing our observed increase over a two session period to an even 100%

The stock closed at .0079, having registered its fifth consecutive session of higher lows and higher highs. We’ll be looking out for the possibility of a continuation in that pattern moving forward.

Signal Bay, Inc. SGBY

This call was the clear winner out of all of yesterday’s interests in terms of total possible percentage gains. SGBY wasted no time as it took off and subsequently reached its high early on in the session. It traded in a range from .0022 to .0048, for rapid gains of up to 118%

That was followed by a dip and rip maneuver which brought it back to .0029 before undergoing a 34% bounce to the closing price of .0039.

Bill the Butcher, Inc. BILB

We had also tagged BILB for observation in yesterday’s report, and it too enjoyed a big intraday run first thing in the morning before tuckering out early. The stock traded up from .0027 to .0054 right from the opening bell for a nice round 100% jump.

Netflix, Inc. NFLX –  Options Idea

NFLX shares are reacting poorly to the company’s post-market earnings report yesterday afternoon, and so we’d like to make note of a range of bearish options ideas.

We’re going to be looking to the NFLX Weekly $88-85.50 Puts for possible intraday swing trade chances, provided NFLX doesn’t break back above the $88-level.
