Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Friday’s Movers, New Ideas & More

Friday’s Notable Moves

Each of the following plays exhibited appreciable upswings on Friday afternoon after having appeared in our reports for the day and days prior. We’ll have each of these stocks on watch for the possibility of continued momentum this morning:

Nate’s Food Co. NHMD

NHMD covered the most ground as it traded in a range from .0019-.0035 on Friday, running 84% intraday and closing at the high of day on volume to the tune of well over five times its 3-month average. We’ll certainly have an eye out for further activity as we open things up on this holiday-shortened trading week.

Guided Therapeutics, Inc. GTHP

We latched onto GTHP early last week and would see a nice little two-day run from the stock to finish it out. Our observed low came on Thursday at .0102, which gave way to a subsequent high of .015 on Friday, marking an overnight increase of 47%

Sparta Commercial Services, Inc. SRCO

SRCO was a steady climber on Friday which traversed its way from .0025 to .0031 over the course of the day, which represents a modest yet notable 24% rise. It too qualifies for sustained monitoring as a possible momentum play, having closed at its high mark for the session.

ProGreen Properties, Inc. PGEI

We want to put PGEI on our radars this morning as well, not only for the momentous session it had on Friday, but also due to the content of the PR released by the company early this morning.

Following up from a release they put out in January, the company announced the completion of a joint venture agreement that puts them on track to develop a 300-acre property of proposed farmland in Baja California, Mexico in time for this year’s growing season. We’ll be interested to follow along for further updates on that project as well as watch the chart for short-term opportunities.

SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) – Options Idea

On Friday the markets enjoyed the biggest single-session rally since 2009. With oil rebounding as well, and the S&P having demonstrated a definitive reversal over the past couple of sessions, we’ll want to start the week off  monitoring some SPY Options. Our target area is going to be the SPY Weekly $188-191 Calls.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Weekly Wrap-Up

Pazoo, Inc. PZOO

PZOO made positive strides this week, as you can see on the chart we’ve included below which has been building up in terms of highlights. When we first began watching this play on 10/20 (low of .0225) we were looking for it to break its 50DMA, which it did. To begin this week, we wanted to see the 200DMA surpassed and that happened as well. A number of bullish indicators, as well as an exciting PR out this morning, has PZOO once again near the top of our watchlist to close out the week.

With MA & Associates having just become one of Nevada’s first State-Licensed Medical Marijuana testing facilities, we were pleasantly surprised to see that the company has already secured its first client. We urge you to check out the PR right away:

Planar Systems, Inc. PLNR

We also wanted to do a quick recap on PLNR, one of our extended watchlist plays from yesterday.

The stock came off of a morning gap up to trade in a range from 6.11-7.05, a modest yet solid 15% intraday move on the heels of an earnings beat.

RMTI, CNET, MITK, RPRX, JNUG

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: RSH Update & More

Radio Shack Corp. RSH

RSH has made regular appearances in our reports over the past couple of months, starting in the beginning of August, when we caught the stock off of its 52-week low of .55.

Following a major run-up to the 1.60-range on August 29th, the stock has been under a general consolidation amid bankruptcy rumors. This week, the company was hinting at possible refinancing deal that would allow them to avoid that situation for the time being, and this morning, that deal was confirmed.

As a result, the stock is up significantly today, having traded as high 1.65 in the premarket. We’re going to want to see support hold at previous resistance points at 1.15 and 1.30. Already, at today’s early highs, we’re seeing more than a 100% increase off of the lows we observed following our most recent RSH alert (.80)

Rockwell Medical, Inc. RMTI

RMTI is another morning gapper that we’re going to place on watch today. With the stock coming off of a recent bottom, it’s going to be interesting to see how today’s development affects its price action.

The company put out a hefty PR this morning regarding a commercialization/distribution deal with Baxter Healthcare (BAX):

WIXOM, Mich., Oct. 3, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Rockwell Medical, Inc. (RMTI), a fully-integrated biopharmaceutical company targeting end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) with innovative products and services for the treatment of iron replacement, secondary hyperparathyroidism and hemodialysis, announced today that it has signed an exclusive agreement with Baxter Healthcare Corporation, a subsidiary of Baxter International Inc. (BAX), to commercialize Rockwell’s hemodialysis concentrate product line in the U.S. and in select overseas markets.>> VIEW PR

BioCryst Pharmaceuticals, Inc. BCRX

BCRX appeared on Wednesday in our extended watchlist, and what has followed has been two fruitful sessions in a row. From a low of 9.89 on Wednesday, we witnessed as the stock bulled its way into yesterday’s close, reaching a daily high of 11.49, a solid 16% overnight increase.

Inovio Pharmaceuticals, Inc. INO

Speaking of pharma plays, INO, a stock that has appeared several times in our reports recently, is also making moves concurrently with the present concern over the Ebola virus outbreak. The company actually has a Ebola vaccine with which they’ve reported success in treating animals with the deadly virus. Anything to do with Ebola is getting a lot of attention at present, and INO is no exception.

Side Note:

Jobs numbers were out this morning, to a positive reception. We will subsequently be looking for dip-and-rip opportunities with regard to options trading. Friday is characteristically a day when premiums start to come down as a result of time decay, with expirations looming. We’re looking at potential opportunities trading Calls in plays like SPY, AA, ISRG, & GPRO.

Extended Watchlist:
HALO, JBLU, WAVX, IAG, SFUN, NXTD

CHGS, DUSS & Extended Watchlist

China GengSheng Minerals, Inc. CHGS

After appearing on yesterday morning’s extended watchlist, CHGS came screaming out of the gate, running from .19 all the way up to .35 (+84%). The stock consolidated, and followed that initial run with two subsequent bounces, one from .24-.35 (+46%), and another from .28 to the day’s high at .39 (+39%).

A tip of the cap to anyone who was able to take advantage of some of the nearly 170% in cumulative intraday gains provided by CHGS, which can be seen on the following chart:

Dussault Apparel, Inc. DUSS
DUSS was the addition we made to the day’s watchlist in yesterday’s afternoon update. Following that alert, we saw a low of .0012, followed by a 25% run-up to the .0015 high-of-day where the stock closed.

As you can see on the annotated chart below, the next key area of resistance to watch for a break resides at .0024. A break past that point would put us in blue-sky breakout territory.

PLEASE NOTE: DUSS is a play that we selected from one of our daily scans. We were not compensated in any way to feature DUSS in our reports, however, owners of this newsletter did purchase two million (2,000,000) shares out of the open market.

Extended Watchlist:
KERX, GERN, ODP, BORN, FB, AAPL, XNY, RMTI

ARO, RMTI, PHOT & Extended Watchlist

Aeropostale, Inc. ARO

At the beginning of August, ARO began to experience a substantial sell-off that would cause the stock to fall from the $15-range to less than $8 at the beginning of this month. We are standing at the ready this morning as we’ve observed some northward pre-market trading, with shares changing hands for as much as 10.13. The significant gaps on the chart being filled could provide not only opportunities on the stock side of things, but in the trading of options contracts as well.

The 10/19 $9.00 Calls are of particular interest to us; Closing at .35 yesterday, and with this morning’s gap-up activity, these calls could open up as much as 100%  In that event, we would be looking for a consolidation before getting our feet wet.

Rockwell Medical, Inc. RMTI

RMTI would make a nice intraday move for us after its appearance in yesterday’s morning report, running from a low of 8.75 and reaching its peak at 11.80, good enough for a 35% gain.

Following the high, the stock came back as low as 9.85. Moving we are looking for the stock to hold support at its previous swing low of 8.75. In the meantime the company released an encouraging PR today announcing the completion of an important step in getting a new kidney drug to market, that appears to be contributing to yet another gap-up situation today.

WIXOM, MI–(Marketwired – Sep 17, 2013) – Rockwell Medical (NASDAQ: RMTI), a fully-integrated biopharmaceutical company targeting end-stage renal disease (ESRD) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) with innovative products and services for the treatment of iron deficiency, secondary hyperparathyroidism and hemodialysis, today announced the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) accepted the proposed proprietary trade name Trifericfor the Company’s investigational iron-delivery drug, previously known as Soluble Ferric Pyrophosphate (SFP), which is intended for treating iron deficiency in chronic kidney disease patients receiving hemodialysis. A request for proprietary name review for Trifericwill be filed with the New Drug Application (NDA) submission.>>>FULL STORY

GroLife, Inc. PHOT

We had another gainer in PHOT yesterday, as the stock jumped from .046 to .061, affording us the opportunity at a 33% intraday rip. Since 08/30 when we re-mentioned PHOT, it has been as low as .0318, which makes yesterday’s high a move of 93%

For almost a year now, we’ve placed a strong focus on marijuana-related stocks, publishing several reports, and doing the most recent followup at the end of August. The industry has, and we believe, will continue to bring us profits in the future. It’s for that reason we suggest everyone keep a marijuana stock watchlist of their own. We have only just begun to realize the potential for this up-and-coming sector, which is certain to be a high-growth area for years to come.
