GRNH, Options Trading Ideas & Extended Watchlist

Aeropostale, Inc. ARO

The 10/19 $9 Calls that we mentioned yesterday morning opened up significantly as we expected they would. After the subsequent consolidation which brought the price back to 1.05, we saw a spike to as much as 1.55 as you can see on the chart below. That was good for a possible intraday gain of 48%

With roughly a month left until the expiration of these contracts, there’s plenty of time for the stock to regain some of its recently lost ground and potentially fill the gap on the chart up to the $11-range. With the kind of drastic stride it made yesterday (jumping from the $8-range to the $10-range) we’ll also need to be wary of possible pullbacks filling that gap to the downside.

Facebook Inc. FB

As FB has recently been approaching its 52-week highs, we’re interested in weekly Calls, especially if the stock can break the $46 barrier. In that event, we’d be looking at in-the-money Calls like the 09/21 $45.50’s. On the flipside, if the stock fails to push past $46 we would be looking to flip the $46 Puts as a pullback would push them in-the-money.

GreenGro Technologies GRNH

This is another marijuana related stock that we’ve tracked for quite some time. GRNH has made some nice moves over the past several weeks, and is currently in consolidation mode as it has been coming off of its most recent spike. We are keeping a close eye on this one for a potential bottom play. If it can maintain support above the 50DMA of .042 we like its chances of seeing a nice rebound in the future.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: HUGE News in the Marijuana Industry

Medical/Legal Marijuana Sector Set to Explode

If that headline seems a little sensationalistic, that’s because something sensational has happened! Many of you will recall our continuous coverage of marijuana-related stocks beginning last year, as Washington and Colorado were getting ready to vote on becoming the first states to end more than seven decades of marijuana prohibition. The prospect of companies legally being able to cash in on what is most assuredly a multi-billion dollar industry just waiting to be unlocked, was and still is, quite exciting.

We rode several hemp stocks (which we’ll mention below) to astonishing gains, and have been continuously tracking the landscape of this burgeoning market sector ever since. Even with such progress being made in legislation, as well as a positive general shift in public opinion on the subject, we still had to temper our enthusiasm. The federal government had not yet taken an official position on the issue of whether or not it would intervene in the rights of individual states to grant their citizens access to legal marijuana. And so the nation, including several other states with legalization ambitions of their own, waited for news of their ultimate fate.

Then yesterday came… In the future, Thursday, August 29th, 2013, could very well be viewed as a turning point in the fight against marijuana prohibition. The US Department of Justice finally announced their official position: The federal government WILL NOT interfere with individual states who wish to legalize, regulate, and tax marijuana for both medical and personal recreational use. The door to a pot industry boom has just been unlocked, and left wide open.

In the wake of this historic event, we thought there would be no better time to remind our readers that this was one of the main reasons we’ve been so “high” on marijuana stocks for over a year now. It is rare to witness the birth of an entire industry, and yet it seems this baby has finally arrived! Check out the enormous list of related stocks below that have appeared in previous reports (I, II, III, IV) and be sure to keep them on your radars moving forward, as a world of possibilities (without fear of federal reprisal) has just opened up for the entire sector.

HEMP, PHOT, MJNA, CBIS, RFMK, ERBB, GRNH, MDBX, MWIP, TRTC, RIGH, EXMT, EDXC, SKTO, FSPM, NRBT, GTLA, GWPRF, HESG, PARS, SRER, SFIO, XCHC & NVLX.

We’ll also be on the lookout for new marijuana related stocks, which are likely to start sprouting up like weeds now that the federal green light has been given. More on the subject is sure to come, so stay tuned to our daily reports, and good luck out there!

STKO, PNCH & Extended Watchlist

SK3 Group, Inc. SKTO

SKTO dropped news regarding the acquisition of a cannabis-related company, sending the stock on a ride yesterday of over 480%

According to the release, SKTO added a significant amount to its bottom line, as the acquisition target is a company with  more than 12M dollars in licensing agreements.

With this new development, SKTO has effectively placed itself in the list of marijuana stocks that we’ve been monitoring for several months. We have been essentially scanning the entire sector continuously during that time, which has yielded us some sizable profits so far.

In case you might have missed a few here and there, this is a rundown of every single cannabis stock we’ve looked at recently:  PHOT, MJNA, CBIS, RFMK, ERBB, GRNH, MDBX, MWIP, TRTC, EXMT, EDXC. In addition to STKO, here are some other new stocks in the field that have caught our attention: FSPM, NRBT, GTLA, GWPRF, HESG, PARS, SRER, SFIO, NVLX.

IC Punch Media, Inc. PNCH

PNCH (formerly ICPA) has been a focus of ours a few times on the years past, and has brought us huge percentage gains. The first run we ever observed from this play took it from triple-zero country all the way up over a nickel, so we are well aware of its track record for explosive gains.

Yesterday PNCH once again triggered our scanners as it broke a key resistance point at .005, an area on the chart that it has been struggling to surpass since November.  Up until that time, .005 had acted as support, and we’ve been waiting for a move back above it, and now that it has, we’d like to see that once again become the support level for the stock.

MCET, MJNA, MWIP & Extended Watchlist

MultiCell Technologies, Inc. MCET

MCET put in another solid performance yesterday, maintaining its uptrend. We’ve taken a lot of interest in the biotech sector lately, and have been duly rewarded.

The volume that has been flowing through MCET for the past week and a half has been astronomical, with yesterday being the second-highest volume day. It opened at .0058, before dipping to .0046, and then ran to .006, gaining 30%  We then saw a dip to .0049 before the stock ran to .0067 tallying an added gain of 37%

From Friday’s low of .0035 we’re looking at gains of almost 100% in total, and with the amount of momentum in this stock currently, we are leaving MCET on our watchlist for the foreseeable future.

Cannabis Stocks

CNCT, MCET, & Extended Watchlist

Options Trading
We just wanted to give ourselves a pat on the back for Friday’s mention of the SPY 151.00 Calls. After observing a pre-market gap-up, we saw a consolidation in the first few hours of trading, which provided an entry opportunity in the .20-range. In the afternoon, the markets surged, bringing in heavy buy-side volume during power hour, sending the SPY to new daily highs into the close. The 151.00 Calls then closed at their high of day at .82. Possible gains of 300-400% were ripe for the taking, so we couldn’t resist pointing out another job well done on our part.

We will continue to monitor the SPY this week. With the momentum experienced into Fridays close, we’re looking for another possible gap-up this morning followed by a pullback and possible bounce.

China Teletech Holding, Inc. CNCT

Speaking of good calls, CNCT was caught on our pre-market volume scanner on Wednesday, and included in our extended watchlist as a result. It opened at a penny, only to rocket as high as the .47-range, before pulling way back to close at .081. On Thursday it went from .097-.194. Then again on Friday it ran it went from .17-.29, closing at .284.

This stock turned out to be one of the top performers on the OTC Markets last week, and a shining example of why we always stress the importance of monitoring all of our interests, even those that just appear in the extended watchlist. The EW, as we call it around the office, has yielded so many big gainers in the past, we can’t even begin to count them all.

___

MultiCell Technologies, Inc. MCET

MCET is another Extended Watchlist star that we caught for the first time publicly on Friday, though we have silently had it on our radar for weeks. We were waiting for just the right time to mention it, and Friday’s timing could not have been any better. The stock opened at .0035, dipped to a low of .0034, and closed out the session at its high of day (.0056), a gain of 70% on the day.
