Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Review & More

SPDRA S&P 500 ETF (SPY)

_____

Tesla, Inc. TSLA

An idea that we formulated on Friday was with some extended term TSLA Calls. We wanted to remind readers of these contracts this morning, as the stock is behaving like we might now see the move that we predicted at the end of last week.

The TSLA 08/02 $300-315 Calls should be in line to see some nice gains with the stock itself gapping up hard here in the premarket.
__________

For another fresh options trading idea on the heels of PEP’s earning beat, we’re going to be tracking the activity in the PepsiCo, Inc. PEP $109-112 Calls.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: More SPY Action

SPDRA S&P 500 ETF (SPY)

We want to formulate a new options idea for the SPY, but first, we would like to present the final performance of the Weekly SPY Calls we signaled last Tuesday.

Those were the SPY Weekly SPY Weekly $272.50-274 Calls and the gains they experienced over the course of the short holiday week were exceedingly impressive, with percentage increases in the thousands on two out of four contracts, with the other two set not trailing far behind, with huge multi-bag gains of their own. .

$272.50 Calls – Range: .43-3.35 – Max Gain: 679%
$273 Calls – Range: .28-2.82 – Max Gain: 907%
$273.50 Calls – Range: 17-2.35 – Max Gain: 1282%
$274 Calls – Range: .09-1.82 – Max Gain: 1922%

*Speculation in these contracts today is tantamount to trading weekly options on a Friday. Should NOT be attempted, except by veteran traders with disposal funds!

Intrexon Corp. XON – Form-4 Bottom Bouncer

We’re very interested in the current scenario with XON. We noticed the CEO purchasing roughly $100M worth of the company’s stock last week at 13.37, and we like the current technical setup as well, with a strong bottom bounce in progress along with a gap on the chart to the upside.

We could see an significant move happening for the stock itself, but we also want to include an extended term options idea for more leverage in the case of a protracted recovery, which is presently looking like a solid possibility. We’ll have an eye on the XON 08/17 $14-17 Calls.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Recapping Friday’s Winners & More

South American Gold Corp. SAGD
(soon to be Sativa Growth International)

We initially tagged SAGD on June 21st, signaling our interest in tracking the stock as it was trading as low as .0135. We saw a nice 170% move to .0364 in a matter of week, something we mentioned on Friday when we recapped the stock’s impressive move.

Friday’s session itself brought another opportunity in SAGD in the form of a dip-and-rip scenario. The stock traded for as little as .0255 before rattling off a new high of .0378. It marked an intraday swing of 48% and as measured from our initially observed lows, the new high marked an overall increase of 180% in just over a week.

We’ll be continuing to track the company’s efforts to effect a name and direction change, as it attempts to enter the cannabis space.

SPDRA S&P 500 ETF – SPY Options Recap

On Friday morning, we took a crack at the SPY by signaling some options as the markets looked ready for a solid session. We highlighted the SPY Weekly $270-272 Calls, and the moves exhibited by those contracts were respectable and worthy of mention.

The total possible intraday gains were as follows:

$270 Calls
– Range: 2.32-3.65 – Max Gain: 57%
$271 Calls – Range: 1.37-2.62 – Max Gain: 91%
$272 Calls – Range: .57-1.70 – Max Gain: 198%

UpperSolution.com URSL

We also would like to quickly make mention of URSL, a penny play we took notice of this morning after a recent run of extreme volatility. The stock has come back down to a relative bottom after a recent incredible run from less than fifty cents to more than 5.50/share. On friday the stock fell back off of a cliff down to the 1.50 area.

With these types of swings occurring in the past handful of sessions, we’re interested in tracking the stock’s activity as we kick off this holiday-shortened week.

Cannabis Stocks, OXBT, SEED & Extended Watchlist

Continuing Cannabis Coverage

We mentioned yesterday that despite some slight pullbacks in a few of our marijuana-related stocks on Friday, that we had better be on the lookout for rebound action. There were definitely some opportunities for that provided by some of our favorite ‘pot stocks’. The majority of the sector did indeed experience further gains, and we certainly saw tons of volume on all accounts. Here are a few of the more stand-out performances from this sector that we have been tracking heavily for an extended period:

GreenGrow Technologies, Inc. GRNH

GRNH continued its multi-day run on Monday. This was one of the ones that did not pull back on Friday. GRNH has been on a strong uptrend since we caught it toward the end of last week as it was trading at .045, and as of yesterday’s high of .185, the stock had given us the chance to make up to 311% in profits in just three sessions.

GrowLife, Inc. PHOT

We’ve seen a low of .157 out of PHOT so far in 2014, and yesterday the stock continued to push upward, touching .239. That marks a solid 52% move since last Thursday.

Tranzbyte Corp. ERBB

ERBB saw a low of .0026 before surging as high as .0035, marking an intraday move of 35% on almost 10X its average volume.

Terra Tech Corp. TRTC

TRTC made a nice move on Monday as well, trading from its daily low at .157 up to .185 for a 16% intraday gain. This came on roughly three times the average volume.

Creative Edge Nutrition, Inc. FITX

FITX managed a gain of 15% on nearly 4X its 3mo. average volume, as it traded in a daily range from .0054-.0062

Oxygen Biotherapeutics, Inc. OXBT

We liked the session put up by OXBT following its inclusion in yesterday’s extended watchlist. The stock made a solid 15% move from 5.5788 up to 6.44 on heavy volume. We’ll continue to keep an eye on this play moving forward. The company has news out today, announcing a couple of upcoming conference appearances.

MORRISVILLE, N.C., Jan 07, 2014 (BUSINESS WIRE) — –Biotech Showcase(TM) 2014 on January 15thOxygen Biotherapeutics, Inc., (NASDAQ: OXBT) a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on developing and commercializing a portfolio of products for the critical care market, today announced that it is scheduled to present at two upcoming healthcare investor conferences in San Francisco.

Mr. Kelley will provide an update on the business operations, including the acquisition of certain assets of Phyxius Pharma Inc. and the development and near-term commercialization of levosimendan to prevent and treat cardiac surgery patients at risk for developing low cardiac output syndrome (LCOS).

AmeraMex International, Inc. AMMX

AMMX first appeared in our extended watchlist last Monday, and once again yesterday. During yesterday’s session we observed as the stock traded in a range from .0064-.0085, a 33% move. From last week’s low of .0047, that’s a gain of up to 81%

AMMX closed at the .0085 high of day on greater-than-average volume. Couple that fact with some of the indicators on the current AMMX chart, and this shows itself as a momentum play of great interest for the remainder of the week.

Origin Agritech, Inc. SEED

Another interesting pick from yesterday’s extended watchlist was SEED. The stock traded in a daily range from 2.15 up to 2.67 (+24%), and finished on a strong note 2.56.  We can see that SEED is gapping up this morning, with premarket trades going off as high as 2.95. We’ll be eager to see how much more this play can continue to push the envelope.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks Kicks Off 2014 With a Bang!

Cannabis Sector Report

Our tenacity in covering one of the hottest stories of 2013 just won’t stop paying dividends, and all signs point to the sustaining of that trend in 2014.

Lately, some of you might have been wondering why we have been so keen to continue our focus on marijuana-related stocks (aside from the percentage gains they’ve already afforded us, collectively numbering in the thousands). You got your definitive answer yesterday, when 2014 trading kicked off, and the plethora of pot stocks we’ve been tracking proceeded to put some serious coin in our pockets!

While some newsletters have yet to even release their first picks of the new year, we are already tallying up a number of winning selections in this sector (and others).

Cannabis Science, Inc. CBIS

We caught CBIS off of its 52-wk lows (.028) in December. Following yesterday’s huge session, we saw a high of .087. That marks a huge 211% gain from our December alerts. Those who may have only caught yesterday’s report, still had the chance at up to 57% from the daily low of .0555.

GreenGrow Technologies, Inc. GRNH

From a low of .045 to a high of .0795, GRNH put up an excellent session to follow our morning mention, giving traders the chance at a very respectable 77% gain. Back on November 18th, we bore witness to a .02-low on GRNH. From that level, yesterday’s high represents a increase of 298%

Hemp, Inc. HEMP

HEMP traded in a daily range from .02-.0318, offering us gains of up to 59% on the day. Like the previously mentioned plays, HEMP appears to want to gap up today. The momentum we’re observing in all of these stocks could take awhile to dry up.

GrowLife PHOT

PHOT didn’t disappoint either, with it’s maiden session of 2014 seeing a low of .157 give way to a high of .2075, a solid move of 32%

Those were just the top gainers of the cannabis stocks we’ve been tracking, several others, including MDBX, ERBB, TRTC, FITX and more, also posted positive gains on the day, and will continue to remain on our watchlists moving forward.

Plug Power, Inc. PLUG

Shifting gears from the marijuana stocks, we once again have PLUG. Following its appearance in yesterday’s newsletter (where we mentioned that this play had already made a move of over 1800% for us) PLUG would go on to have a bang-up first session of the year, dipping to a low of 1.89 before running up to 2.33, and giving us added gains to the tune of 23% The stock closed at the high of day, and as is always the case when that happens, we are on a sharp lookout for continued momentum. It appears that’s just what we’re going to get, as the stock is already trading up in the 2.50-range this morning on relatively heavy premarket volume.
