Blue Horseshoe Stocks: BURL Recap & More

Burlington Stores, Inc. BURL – Options Update

Our first order of business this morning will be to go back to the options idea we signaled for the BURL chain on Thursday morning, the BURL 03/17 $85-95 Calls. We reported the solid gains that the strong earnings report allowed us on that first day in Friday’s morning report, and today we’ll have to follow up once again to relay the added opportunities we saw to close out the week.

We did caution on Friday that based on premarket activity, our ranges could be extended considerably, and that’s exactly what happened. The updates ranges showing the total moves we seen over a two session span are as follows:

$85 Calls – Range: 5.60-11.13 – Max Gain: 99%
$90 Calls – Range: 2.50-7.35 – Max Gain: 194%
$95 Calls – Range: .71-3.50 – Max Gain: 392%

Galectin Therapeutics, Inc. GALT

GALT is a stock that we began tracking earlier in 2017, including it in our report on January 17th. Shortly following that alert, the stock saw a low of .935 and it hasn’t looked back since.

We followed up with an update of GALT on February 10th, at which time we had seen a relatively modest range of .935 to 1.29 (+38%). We noted that the gains would be “sustainable if GALT can manage to crack past the current 200DMA” (then at 1.32).

That did happen, and on the 15th we posted another followup stating “One more bullish push will get us into double-bagger territory for this idea, and the stock may well make a run into the 2.00-range.” Our assumptions proved spot-on again, as one week later, the stock went on to hit a high of 2.21, representing a total move up from our observed low of .935 amounting to 136%

Once again GALT is heading to highs, this morning trading as high as 2.30 in the premarket on the heels of some positive clinical trial data (>>View PR). We’re going to want to be paying attention to its activity as we open up another trading week, as expectations of extended gains once again do not seem unreasonable.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: QSIM, USRM Updates & More

U.S. Stem Cell, Inc. USRM

We tagged USRM in our report on Monday for the first time in quite awhile, and reported back to our readers yesterday morning on the excellent 72% push it made from .014-.0241. We also mentioned the strength of its close and increased volume, noting that we’d want to continue keeping a close eye on the stock.

Yesterday’s session provided a prime example of why we doubled down on USRM for the second day in a row, with the stock streaking to an impressive new high. It traded up from it low of .0245 and smashed through the nickel barrier, reaching .0545 for a hefty intraday gain of 122%

From our observed low on Monday, the move represented an overall two-day upswing of 289%

QuantumSphere, Inc. QSIM

We noticed some heightened activity in QSIM in yesterday morning’s premarket scan, and included the stock in our extended watchlist for the day. It was a good thing that we did, because the stock put up an awesome performance, continuously ramping its way up the chart for essentially the entire session.

From its early low of .0043, QSIM was shot out of a cannon and reached a high of .011 just prior to the closing bell, for an intraday increase of 156% which came on heavy volume, on the order of seven times the 30-day average.

With such a bullish session, we’re certainly going to want to keep QSIM on tap for further potential moves, be it an immediate continuation of this bullish trend, or a dip-and-rip scenario.

Vapor Group, Inc. VPOR

Rounding off yesterday’s top movers was VPOR. Like the previously-mentioned play, we caught this one on our routine morning scan and took note of an increase in volume and price action in the prior session.

The momentum carried over nicely, with VPOR trading up from a low of .00355 and reaching .0053, for an intraday pop of 49% It marked the third straight day of higher highs and higher lows for the stock, so it too will remain on our watchlist moving forward.

Lowes Companies, Inc. LOW – Options Idea

Lowes joined the earnings bonanza this morning with an impressive set of figures in their Q4 report. We are going to be tracking a range of short-term options to possibly take advantage of the commotion.

Our targets are going to be the LOW Weekly $79-81 Calls.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: HZNP Options Update & More

Horizon Pharma plc  HZNP

Our first idea of the week in yesterday’s premarket report, which was to track the HZNP Weekly $14 and 15 Calls, ended up paying instant dividends. HZNP was coming off of its earnings call as well as highlighting a new 5M share repurchase program.

Both of our targeted sets of contracts experienced significant intraday swing action which traders could have utilized for solid single-session gains. The $14 Calls ran impressively from a low of .88 to a subsequent high of 2.15, for a 144% rip. The $15’s put up a pleasing performance of similar magnitude, trading in a range from .60-1.33, for total possible profits of up to 122%

We identified 16.15 as an indicating point, the breaching of which would signal us to roll up our strike price to $16. That still remains true as we continue along through the week.

Aperture Health, Inc. APRE – Update

We want to provide an update this morning on the recent progress of APRE, which our regular readers will recollect was a point of focus for us beginning a couple of weeks ago. We’ve tracked it over several swings, commenting on the stock’s ability to make volatile moves to the upside. It continues to demonstrate this ability over recent sessions, wherein we’ve observed quite a rush of momentum.

From last Wednesday’s bounce-point of .0188, we’ve now seen a swing of 165% as of yesterday’s new high of .0499 and the stock recorded its highest volume since November. Presently, indicators on the chart seem to be ripe and ready for the possibility of even higher highs. The next key areas of resistance following a nickel are sitting at .08 and .115.
