Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Winning Options & More

Peer to Peer Network PTOP
.
Yesterday morning, we were just recapping the unreal performance of PTOP subsequent to our initial mention of the stock on November 8th after which time we would observe the stock trading for as little as .0004. It went on to break the 5000% gain mark, but we said we’d stick with it, and once again the stock delivered a solid performance and new highs during yesterday’s session.

PTOP traded in a range from .0152 to .0285, which works out to an intraday move of 88% and a ridiculously big run of 7025% in a span of roughly six weeks!

Options Review

We submitted a couple of fresh options ideas yesterday morning, having seen solid earnings from each of the following companies, and of the six total contracts we highlighted, every last one provided traders with the chance for significant single session profits.

FedEx Corp. FDX – Weekly $245-250 Calls.
$14.50 Calls – Range: 2.92-6.50 – Max Gain: 123%
$15 Calls – Range: 1.33-4.11 – Max Gain: 209%
$15.50 Calls – Range: .59-2.26 – Max Gain: 283%

In the case of FDX, it appears that we could see an extension of these gains before the week is out.

Blackberry Ltd. BB – Weekly $10.50-11.50 Calls
$14.50 Calls – Range: 1.11-1.85 – Max Gain: 67%
$15 Calls – Range: .61-1.40 – Max Gain: 130%
$15.50 Calls – Range: .30-.90 – Max Gain: 200%

Net Element, Inc. NETE

We tagged NETE for observation yesterday, and it too had a solid session. From a low  of 15.18 \the stock traded as high as  24.98, for an intraday move of 65% which came on volume of more than forty-eight times the monthly average.

For a stock in the fifteen dollar range, that is an incredible one day performance, and will leave us interested to track its movements further, going forward. Already in the premarket the stock has pushed as high as 33.44, extending our observed range to 120%

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: IDXG Recap & More

Interpace Diagnostics Group, Inc. IDXG

We last talked about IDXG on the 16th of last month. (Please excuse us for being currently unable to provide the link to that report like we normally would, as our primary servers are located in Houston, and our service provider is still recovering in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.) Subsequent to that mention, we observed a low of .72 in IDXG, and the run we’ve seen has been pretty impressive.

Yesterday the stock hit 1.73, which represents a 140% increase, and the stock closed with strength just below its high of day, so we’ll be interested to see if there will be further gains in store. The key for IDXG will be to maintain above the NASDAQ minimum bid requirement of a dollar per share on any pullbacks.

Insmed, Inc. INSM – Options Update

We highlighted our interest in a set of options for INSM in yesterday’s report to try to take advantage of the flux in activity caused by the company’s positive Phase III results on its rare lung disease treatment study.

We saw the beginnings of what could be a good idea that we’ll want to continue tracking in the INSM 09/15 $27-30 Calls. The $27’s we’re the only ones that were pushed into the money, and they did manage an intraday run from a low of .95 to 1.60 for a 68% swing on the day. We’ll continue to keep an eye on these contracts if INSM can manage to record higher lows over the next few sessions.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: VSTM, KTOV Recaps & More

Verastem, Inc. VSTM

With impressive new highs being printed yesterday we thought it was a good time to swing back around and recap the recent progress of a stock we’ve been tracking since early this spring. A quick look at the VSTM tag in our archives reveals that we began tracking this play with a mention in our premarket report on March 24th at which time the stock saw a low of 1.59 and never went any lower. That was followed by another reminder just a few weeks ago when the stock was trading in the 2.10’s.

Despite the usual fluctuations, the stock has been in an ascending wedge pattern on the chart from our initial highlight, generally trading in an upward direction and yesterday, hit new highs of 3.75. From our observed low of 1.59 that works out to a total increase of 142%  For those who may have only caught the most recent mention, gains of up to 95% were still attainable as of yesterday’s new high.

Kitov Pharmaceutical Holdings, Inc. KTOV

We included KTOV in yesterday morning’s premarket report after picking it up on our routine morning scan. The stock responded with a very nice daily performance.

From a low of 1.80 it ripped 100% to 2.70 for a perfect double-bagger, and it did so on extreme high volume on the order of 155X the monthly average. With that kind of price action and liquidity, we’ll be certain to keep close tabs on KTOV as we close out this holiday-shortened week.

ProShares Short VIX Short-Term Futures ETF (SVXY) – Options Idea

After some positive jobs numbers went out this morning, we want to signal a range of options in the SVXY, which is one of the funds we use as a market analog. A bullish session for the markets as a whole could spell some nice gain opportunities in the SVXY Weekly $152-154 Calls*.

*We don’t include mentions of weekly options contracts on a Friday without explicitly warning our readers every time. Trading weekly options at the end of the week is a highly risky proposition that should never be attempted by beginning or novice traders!
