Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Bottom-Watch Play & More

Eastman Kodak Co. KODK – Update

It was a few weeks ago on the 12th of January that we signaled a range of puts in the Kodak options chain.  The company had seen a considerable surge in price after announcing its own unique crypto-coin, but we took a skeptical position as to its sustainability.

We highlighted the KODK 02/16 $15 & $12.50 Puts.
and wanted to come back around to it this morning to check out the gains that were made possible as the stock has predictably failed to maintain its uptrend, and instead has fallen significantly since our alert.

As a result, the $15 Puts have run from 4.70-8.80 for an 87% pop, while the $12.50′s traded from a low of 2.60 up to 6.50, a gain of 150%

Auris Medical Holding Inc. EARS

We lso want to add a quick bottom watch play in EARS to kick off the week this morning.

It’s got multiple gaps to fill to the upside and is currently considerably oversold. We’ll want to watch this stock for a potential rebound in the days and weeks ahead.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: KORS Recap & More

Michael Kors Holdings, Ltd. KORS – Options Recap

We took the opportunity to signal some KORS options yesterday in the wake of the company’s convincing earnings beat, and it was a good thing we did, because the stock had a monstrous session, running from a low of 42.71 to a high of 45.73.

That was more than enough of an intraday push to facilitate some really great gain opportunities for anyone who looked into our highlighted ideas, the KORS Weekly $41.50-43.50 Calls. Each and every contract in our specified range erupted with big time multi-bag moves on the day exceeding 1000%, which were as follows:

$41.50 Calls – Range: .31-3.97 – Max Gain: 1180%
$42 Calls – Range: .25-3.45  – Max Gain: 1280%
$42.50 Calls – Range: .20-2.65 – Max Gain: 1225%
$43 Calls – Range: .14-2.75 – Max Gain: 1864%
$43.50 Calls – Range: .13-2.25 – Max Gain: 1630%

This was certainly one of our sharpest calls and greatest plays of the entire summer so far, so cheers go out to anyone who hopped on for the ride!

Ubiquitech Software Corp. UBQU

The UBQU newsreel has been hot over the last week, wherein we learned that the company’s HempLife subsidiary was expanding its line of CBD products to include offerings for pets, and that UBQU also launched a new division that brings it into the trendy cryptocurrency space.

Along with a confluence of recent developments, we are also seeing bottom-bounce potential in the UBQU chart at the present time. The stock has essentially been getting beaten back all summer long, so we’ll want to begin watching for the possibility of a convincing rebound in the days ahead.

Extended Watchlist:

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: NWBO Review, Options & More

Northwest Biotherapeutics, Inc. NWBO

We’ve been mentioning NWBO this week beginning on Monday, and yesterday, despite already having seen some solid gains from the stock, we were met with a second consecutive solid intraday performance.

NWBO traded in a daily range from .551 to .76, which marked a surge to the upside of 38% and from our observed low subsequent to its appearance in our morning report on Monday (.5018), yesterday’s high represented a two-day swing of 51%

We’ll continue to track the progress here, and will be anxious to see if the stock can maintain it’s multi-day runner status.

More Bottom-Watchers

Yesterday we submitted a bottom watchlist consisting of three oversold stocks that we’re going to want to keep on our radars for the possibility of an eventual rebound (MGT, AIII, NVAX). This morning, we’d like to add a couple more to that list for us to monitor in sessions ahead.

Each of the following stocks appears to be egregiously oversold, and both have just registered new 52-week lows; two key components we look for when searching for potential recovery plays.

Gordman’s Stores, Inc. GMAN

Towerstream Corp. TWER

Fresh Options Ideas

We also want to delve back into the realm of options trading this morning, with a couple of ideas based on post-market earnings releases yesterday.

As our regular readers are well aware, we’ve used post-earnings options calls to find MAJOR short to intermediate-term success on countless occasions in the past, and these are just the types of plays for which we’re constantly scanning the landscape.

Our new targets are the following:

FDX Weekly $165-170 Calls

ADBE 10/21 $100-110 Calls

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Bottom-Plays, Options & More

Novavax, Inc. NVAX

Our first item of interest this morning is going to be NVAX. This play set off our alarms on Friday when the stock was downgraded on the heels of ill-received trial data on the company’s RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) vaccine.

Whenever we see knee-jerk reactions take place, and Friday’s backslide of more than 80% certainly qualifies in that category, we like to place the battered stocks on watch for the subsequent recoveries that occur as often as not.

With the monster gap that Friday’s activity left on the chart (1.20′s to 8.10′s), it will be very interesting to see how the stock responds as we kick off a fresh trading week. Prior to that it had been on a fairly steady four month uptrend that almost reached the 100%-mark. All these factors playing in at once are plenty enough to reserve a slot for NVAX on our radars in coming sessions.

Netflix, Inc. NFLX – Options Idea

We’ve tracked NFLX options to great success on multiple occasion in the past, and today seems like a good time to take another run at it. Along with being on the uptrend for the past six or seven weeks, the stock breached its 200DMA in a bullish manner on Friday, a signal that further advances could be in the cards this week. NFLX is gapping up slightly in the premarket this morning.

In accordance, we want to have an options idea ready and waiting to take advantage should a continued surge be in the cards. The targets we want to zero in on are the NFLX Weekly $99.50-101 Calls for potential swing trades.

APT Systems, Inc. APTY

We alerted our readers to a PR put out by APTY on Friday alluding to the planned purchase of shares out of the open market by the company’s CEO. That coincided with a reasonable amount of momentum that the stock had carried into that session from the one prior.

We mentioned that we liked the chances of the stock seeing some further increases for Friday’s session, and we weren’t disappointed on that front. APTY traded in a solid range from .0032 to .0044, a respectable intraday gain totaling 38%

We’ll remain interested in this play provided it can maintain support above Friday’s swing-low of .0032.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: BAC Options Recap & More

Bank of America Corp. BAC – Fresh Options Idea

We went bullish on BAC yesterday, confident that a rebound after Brexit-related losses could propel a set of options contracts to some sizable intraday gains. We were right on in our assessment, and after both an early morning rip, followed by a pullback and run-up into the close, were presented with multiple quick-strike opportunities.

Each of the two sets of calls we signaled, the BAC Weekly $12.50 and $13 Calls, ultimately provided us with two solid chances each:

$12.50 Calls – 1st Run: .22-.32 (+45%) – 2nd Run: .20-.37 (+85%)
$13 Calls – 1st Run: .08-11 (+37%) – 2nd Run: .05-.12 (+140%)

BAC is gapping up once again [currently trading in the 12.90-range] in the premarket, so it would appear our observed contracts are in line for a chance at another productive session. To reiterate our statement from yesterday’s report,  if BAC looks as if it will breach the 13.50-mark, we’ll be looking to roll up our strike price to that level.

Petroleo Brasiliero S.A. (Petrobras) PBR – Options Recap

We recently signaled some longer-term calls in the PBR options chain, and just wanted to take an opportunity to update our readers on the potential gains that have been made possible there.

This past Friday, we signaled the PBR 07/15 $6.50 and $7 Calls  and have been pleased with the subsequent activity. Monday’s dip provided an excellent buy opportunity as the $6.50′s traded as low as .30 and the $7′s traded as low as .15. Yesterday, we observed the $6.50′s close at .50, and the $7′s close at .27. That worked out to intraweek gain opportunities of 66% and 80%, respectively.

We’ll want to keep these on our radar, with two weeks yet remaining until their expiration date.

Fresh Options Ideas:

We’re already options-heavy this morning, so we figured why not formulate a couple more ideas to add to our pool of interests:

The Markets are gapping up big again today, and if today’s activity is at all like yesterday’s dip-and-rip scenario, we will want to pay close attention to the SPY Weekly $204-206 Calls. We’ll also be tracking the NKE Weekly $52-54 Calls on the heels of Nike’s post-market earnings beat yesterday.
