Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Form-4 Alert, AAPL & More

 Apple, Inc. AAPL – Options

We used to trade AAPL options like they were going out of style, but have not actually talked about the stock in roughly six months.

This morning, on the heels of yesterday’s post-market earnings beat which featured better-than-expected iPhone sales, we’re going to be coming back to AAPL with a short-term options idea.

Having traded as high as 127.67 in the premarket, we’re going to be looking for a dip-and-rip off of this gap-up once the session commences. We’re going to be focused on the AAPL Weekly $125-127 Calls provided the expected early dip doesn’t take the stock lower than the $125-mark.

Opko Health, Inc. OPK

OPK is a familiar stock to us, albeit one that we haven’t touched upon in awhile. Recently, it has been under heavy consolidation, beginning with a large gap-down from the mid-$11 to the $10 area in late December, and persisting throughout last month.

We’ve also noticed a series of Form-4 filings which show the CEO was soaking up shares at these lows all last week and into Monday, to the tune of more than $300K worth purchased at market prices in just a few days.

We like to follow plays where directors are actively supporting their stock with confidence buys like those, so we’re going to be keeping a closer eye on OPK in sessions to come, as a rebound may be forthcoming at any time.

Tuesday’s Honorable Mentions

Cardinal Energy Group, Inc. CEGX – We placed CEGX in yesterday morning’s extended watchlist and were pleased with the stock’s modest, yet noteworthy intraday performance.

The stock traded in a range from .0026 to .0038, marking an intraday pop of 46% There was a consolidation into the close, and the stock failed to hold at least 50% of its daily advance, however, with the volatility exhibited in the past couple of sessions, we’ll definitely want to keep an eye on CEGX as we cruise through mid-week.
_____

Players Network PNTV – We were just mentioning our coverage of PNTV on Monday, and the 400%+ gains we’d observed recently. What has followed is a solid couple of sessions that has the stock well on its way to an impressive intraweek performance.

Monday’s low came in at .028, and yesterday it reached as high as .04, marking a two-day swing of 30% We’ll be looking for the stock to continue posting higher highs and higher lows today, which would solidify PNTV’s multi-day runner status.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: MYHI Recap & Other Updates

Mountain High Acquisitions Corp. MYHI

Our first order of business this morning is to review the recent activity in MYHI, another cannabis stock amid the huge selection we’re constantly tracking. We’ve been all over this play in the month of January, beginning with the first report of the calendar year, and appearing routinely since then, all while maintaining a general uptrend.

Our witnessed low came in the session immediately following that first premarket report of 2017 back on January 3rd, at .09. Over the course of this month, MYHI has streaked skyward with some very impressive multi-day surges, the latest of which led to a new high yesterday.

We also included MYHI in yesterday’s premarket report, so for those readers who haven’t been with us long enough to have witnessed the full story on this play, single-session gains of a significant magnitude were also available. MYHI ran from a low of .5616 to its new high of .90 on heavy volume, an intraday push of 63%

The high mark represented an overall upswing of 900% from our observed low on the 3rd, exactly three weeks ago, so huge cheers are in order for anyone who has been along for this fantastic ride!

Other Pot Stock Updates

Speaking of the marijuana space, which has definitely been a prime area of focus for us in recent months especially, we had a couple of our other running cannabis interests that were included in yesterday’s premarket report end up performing well on the day.

We had Rocky Mountain High Brands, Inc. RMHB trade up from .13 to .16 for a modest 23% intraday push, reaching overall gains of 74% from the .092 low we observed after including the stock in Friday’s report.

There was also Hemp, Inc. HEMP, which was another one we put in the first report of the year and have been tracking ever since. It spiked 16% intraday yesterday from .0467 to .054, and from our witnessed low of .03, a total rise of 80%

Cellectar Biosciences, Inc. CLRB

CLRB is hitting our scanner in the premarket today, gapping up to the tune of 15% and showing all the symptoms of a solid bottom-bouncer.

There is a gap on the chart between approximately 1.80 and 2.20. We would like to see the stock maintain support above the 50DMA(1.50) and potentially make a run to fill that gap.

VanEck Vectors Gold Miners ETF (GDX) – Options Reminder

Just a quick reminder on our options ideas from yesterday’s report; the GDX 02/10 $24-25.50 Calls which we put on extended watch, made some decent progress on the first day, producing gains ranging between 20-40%

We’ll continue to track these ideas for the possibility of further increases for as long as gold itself can maintain its overall uptrend. In this case, that would likely mean holding support above the $1200/oz mark.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Major Victory for Marijuana & More

Starbucks Corp. SBUX – Options Update

Our options idea from Friday morning, the SBUX 11/11 $53.50-55 Calls
continued to be good plays as SBUX stock posted some solid intraday activity even as many others faltered in the uncertainty of the elections. It allotted for us to see further opportunities over the multi-bag gains we’d already been afforded to that point.

$53.50 Calls – Range: 1.05-1.47 – Max Gain: 169%
$54 Calls – Range: .76-1.07 – Max Gain: 300%
$54.50 Calls – Range: .45-.69 – Max Gain: 458%
$55 Calls – Range: .23-.43 – Max Gain: 344%

The markets as a whole are showing trepidation over the events of the past 24 hours, but once again, we must remain open to the possibility of seeing further moves out of these contracts which have treated us well so far.

CANNABIS SECTOR UPDATE:

As expected California passed its recreational marijuana initiative on election day, with Nevada and Massachusetts following suit.  Medical pot passed in North Dakota, Arkansas, and Florida. As we stated before, the whole landscape of the cannabis industry is set to change now, as the country as a whole takes several leaps toward the end of nationwide prohibition.

It’s just the outcome we expected, and the ramifications will begin to come into clearer focus in the weeks and months ahead as we observe how each state will handle roll-out of the new laws.

Our sector-wide alert will continue indefinitely as the effects of the outcomes on the investment side of things materialize.

Potential Bottom Plays

MannKind Corp. MNKD – It’s been a long while since we’ve taken a look at MNKD, and we want to draw some attention to it this morning as a possible bottom play. It’s been in a general downtrend for the better part of four months, and looks like it could be in a good spot for a rebound from this juncture. We’ll reserve it a space on our radar moving forward.

Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. TEVA – The threat of a class-action lawsuit has produced a backslide in TEVA in recent sessions. It’s just the kind of consolidation on non-material developments that we’re always scanning for as course corrections can often occur following this type of activity, and sure enough, the stock appears to be rebounding in the premarket. To take advantage, we’re going to look to the TEVA Weekly $40.50-42.50 Calls.
