Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Cannabis Reminder

Cannabis Reminder

With the cannabis counterculture holiday of 04/20 capping off this week on Friday, you can bet that our tracking of the cannabis sector is going to ramp up right along with many of these stocks.

It was back on the 4th of this month that we published an extensive list of marijuana industry stocks to track in anticipation of this event. For those outside the loop, “Four-Twenty” is a massive celebration each year on April 20th, to commemorate the cultural tradition of partaking in cannabis at 4:20pm on any given day. Cannabis companies use this as the perfect marketing ploy, and as a result, many do their highest sales of the year on the heels of this holiday.

A few of the plays we highlighted earlier this month have already begun to see appreciable moves on the chart. Take OWC Pharma (OWCP) for example. Since the 4th, the stock has increased from .20 to .30, a 50% rise in under two weeks.

We would expect to see similar, and even better gains coming from many cannabis stocks all across the board. That’s why we wanted to open up this week with a reminder to keep a close eye on anything even remotely tied to the space.

Just refresh, some of those stocks include, but are not limited to:

AGTK, HEMP, SGMD, SING, GRNE, GOHE, MCOA, MCIG, POTN, PNTV, RMHB, CANN, CBIS, ATTBF, GLDFF, GLNNF, NXTTF, MRRCF, SPRWF & CRON

Extended Watchlist:
SSC, NETE, ITCI, ERI, MBII, NAV, ONVO, LOXO, CLS

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Cannabis Roundup & More

Cannabis Roundup

We wanted to take some time out this midweek to get back to cannabis, the rapidly growing industry that we’ve always said we felt has as much or more potential than any other out there. The first quarter of the 2018 calendar year was rather low key, but with some major cannabis dates coming up, we wanted to sharpen our focus on the sector.

The 04/20 Holiday is generally a time when you see heightened visibility, and an influx of sales for recreational marijuana businesses. It’s the “Super Bowl” for many of these businesses, which will see their highest customer volume of the year.

It’s a time of increased awareness in the investment community for the space as a whole, and that’s why we wanted to refresh our running watchlist of pot stocks on our radar:

As for the ones based here in the U.S. some of our favorites (in no particular order) have been: OWCP, AGTK, HEMP, SGMD, SING, GRNE, GOHE, MCOA, MCIG, POTN, PNTV, RMHB, CANN and CBIS.

We also have July to look forward to, which marks the nationwide legalization of recreational marijuana in Canada, where some of the most impressive cannabis companies, like ACBFF and APHQF reside. Other notable Canadian players include ATTBF, GLDFF, GLNNF, NXTTF, MRRCF, SPRWF, and CRON.

Facebook, Inc. FB

We started off the week on Monday by signaling some options ideas, the FB Weekly $155-160 Calls. Despite a terrible start to the week for the markets as a whole, yesterday’s bounce-back helped began to provide us with the kind of moves we were looking for out of those plays.

In fact, each of three contracts in our designated range yielded the chance at multi-bag gains yesterday, with the following moves:

$155 Calls – Range: 1.55-4.27  – Max Gain: 175%
$157.50 Calls – Range: .90-2.75 – Max Gain: 205%
$160 Calls – Range: .49-1.69 – Max Gain: 245%

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: INMG Recap & More

Innovativ Media Group, Inc. INMG

On Wednesday, just a day following news that the company had acquired a property in the cannabis space, INMG impressed by running 195% from .0019 to .0056. Participants in our daily live trader’s chat had a chance to get in on those gains, as we were mentioning in Thursday’s premarket report.*

But the party was only just getting started, and Thursday’s session proved to be every bit as exhilarating. INMG traded up from its morning low of .005, and managed to crack through the penny barrier to reach a high of .012 on the day. That was good for another multi-bag intraday move of 140% and extended our total two-session observed range on INMG to a walloping 532%

The move came on more than nine times the 30-day average volume, and the stock held a penny into the close, maintaining well over half of its daily advance, so we’ll be very interested to see how that head of steam transfers to this new trading week after a three-day weekend.

*We encourage all of our readers to join in on our daily in-session live chats. To participate, simply create/sign into your Skype account and send a contact request to ‘stocksumo’.

4/20 Cannabis Watchlist

We’re heading into 4/20 week, with the holiday coming up on Thursday. For the uninitiated, 4/20 (“Four-Twenty”) has been a marijuana counter-culture holiday for decades, and in recent years as the legal cannabis space has really taken off, it has been taken to a new level through viral marketing events, festivals, celebrations, and targeted ad campaigns.

We would expect the frequency of press releases (and with them, increased visibility) from companies operating in or around the space to rise over the course of this week. We would also expect subsequent heightened activity in many cannabis stocks.

In accordance with these expectations, we’ll put the many cannabis stocks we track on a routine basis on even closer watch. Stocks like CBIS, OWCP, RMHB, SGDH, TRTC, and more, will be high on our watchlist this week.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: MYHI Recap & Other Updates

Mountain High Acquisitions Corp. MYHI

Our first order of business this morning is to review the recent activity in MYHI, another cannabis stock amid the huge selection we’re constantly tracking. We’ve been all over this play in the month of January, beginning with the first report of the calendar year, and appearing routinely since then, all while maintaining a general uptrend.

Our witnessed low came in the session immediately following that first premarket report of 2017 back on January 3rd, at .09. Over the course of this month, MYHI has streaked skyward with some very impressive multi-day surges, the latest of which led to a new high yesterday.

We also included MYHI in yesterday’s premarket report, so for those readers who haven’t been with us long enough to have witnessed the full story on this play, single-session gains of a significant magnitude were also available. MYHI ran from a low of .5616 to its new high of .90 on heavy volume, an intraday push of 63%

The high mark represented an overall upswing of 900% from our observed low on the 3rd, exactly three weeks ago, so huge cheers are in order for anyone who has been along for this fantastic ride!

Other Pot Stock Updates

Speaking of the marijuana space, which has definitely been a prime area of focus for us in recent months especially, we had a couple of our other running cannabis interests that were included in yesterday’s premarket report end up performing well on the day.

We had Rocky Mountain High Brands, Inc. RMHB trade up from .13 to .16 for a modest 23% intraday push, reaching overall gains of 74% from the .092 low we observed after including the stock in Friday’s report.

There was also Hemp, Inc. HEMP, which was another one we put in the first report of the year and have been tracking ever since. It spiked 16% intraday yesterday from .0467 to .054, and from our witnessed low of .03, a total rise of 80%

Cellectar Biosciences, Inc. CLRB

CLRB is hitting our scanner in the premarket today, gapping up to the tune of 15% and showing all the symptoms of a solid bottom-bouncer.

There is a gap on the chart between approximately 1.80 and 2.20. We would like to see the stock maintain support above the 50DMA(1.50) and potentially make a run to fill that gap.

VanEck Vectors Gold Miners ETF (GDX) – Options Reminder

Just a quick reminder on our options ideas from yesterday’s report; the GDX 02/10 $24-25.50 Calls which we put on extended watch, made some decent progress on the first day, producing gains ranging between 20-40%

We’ll continue to track these ideas for the possibility of further increases for as long as gold itself can maintain its overall uptrend. In this case, that would likely mean holding support above the $1200/oz mark.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Marijuana Madness Continues & More

Puration, Inc. PURA

It seems that the majority of the stocks we’ve seen make big moves in 2017 so far, are in some way related to the marijuana sector. To start things off this morning we want to go back and retrace our steps with PURA, which began on Thursday the 12th.

We saw a nice initial 30% jump, followed by a consolidation down to .03 on  Tuesday, and for the rest of last week it was one bullish session after the other. The impressive run culminated in a new high of .075 on Friday, which stands as an intraweek upswing of 150%

With such good price action and volatility, we’ll be sure to leave PURA on our massive running watchlist that essentially includes all high-liquidity stocks in, or related to, the cannabis space.

Rocky Mountain High Brands, Inc. RMHB

Speaking of cannabis related, RMHB was new to our reports on Friday, and it too is trying to capture a chunk of the consumables market with its hemp-infused food and beverage products.

The stock put up a solid move in its first session on our radar, making an early run from .092 to a high of .137. That works out to a 49% intraday pop, and any play posting those types of single-session numbers could certainly have more in store for us, so we’ll keep RMHB on our watchlist as well.

VanEck Vectors Gold Miners ETF (GDX) – Options Idea

The dollar has been looking shaky of late, as the various unknowns of a new administration has characteristically injected an element of fear into the marketplace. As a result gold has been on a month-long climb, and in the event that trend continues to carry, we’ll want to have an associated options idea at the ready.

One of the funds we like to trade for its correlation with gold is GDX, and in this instance, we’re going to put the GDX 02/10 $24-25.50 Calls on watch over the next several sessions.
