Blue Horseshoe Stocks: INTC Recap & More

Intel Corp. INTC

On Friday morning, we saw serious potential in the INTC options chain following the company’s earning beat. They posted solid figures, but some were concerned over the possible security flaws prsent in the company’s new chips. Those fears were shrugged off with ease, as the stock took off for what ultimately turned out to be an exceptionally bullish session.

The move INTC made allowed for the chance at some really nice intraday profits in each of the three contracts we designated in Friday morning’s report, the INTC Weekly $47.50-48.50 Calls.

$47.50 Calls – Range: .75-2.50 – Max Gain: 233%
$48 Calls – Range: .43-1.99 – Max Gain: 362%
$48.50 Calls – Range: .25-1.50 – Max Gain: 500%

Ballard Power Systems, Inc. BLDP – Bottom-Watch

We’re always looking for a good bottom play, and one may be getting ready to present itself in the near future on BLDP. We want to place the stock on intensive bottom-watch in coming sessions, after it appears that BLDP has been the target of manipulative short-seller tactics, including a very likely erroneous class action ‘investigation’ and suit by multiple law firms. We see this type of thing all the time, and very seldom does anything come of such a situation.

What we do have is a stock that has been severely abused, beaten back to a previous multiple bottom of strong support. In a PR published today, the company has refuted the claims of its accusers, while adding that it expects to report record financials for fiscal 2017 presently. (>>View PR)

We’ll be sure to monitor BLDP for a bottom bounce which should be forthcoming at any time, and the subsequent rebound to follow, which could bring us a shot at considerable gains from current levels.

Side Note: We also want to radar Plug Power, Inc. PLUG, as it tends to trade very similarly to BLDP. We’ve traditionally looked at these plays in tandem, so we’ll keep watch over PLUG as well as it comes down to find its own bottom.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Post-Earnings Options & More

Dollar General Corp. DG

First up this morning is a look at DG, which revealed its Q3 earnings report early this morning, and appears to be gearing up for some continued bullish activity, for which we’ll want to formulate an options trading idea.

The stock has been in a general uptrend for many months, seeing its annual lows in June, and trading in a general upward channel ever since. DG is gapping up roughly 5% in premarket trading, and we’re going to look for action in the DG Weekly $93.50-96 Calls today and possibly tomorrow as well.

Lululemon Athletica

This is another stock that has put up a good performance since late spring. After seeing its own annual low at the end of May in the $66 area, LULU has recently breached the $90 mark.

That upward climb could continue on the heels of what was a solid beat on both sales and earnings in the post-market yesterday, as well as boosted sales guidance. When coupled with the $200M share repurchase the company has just authorized, and we have another excellent candidate for some options trading ideas. In this case we’re interested in tracking the LULU Weekly $72.50-74 Calls.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: MARA, AVEO Recaps & More

Marathon Patent Group, Inc. MARA

Our initial alert on MARA came on Thursday morning along with a low of .22, as we were just mentioning in yesterday’s premarket report. We had already seen a 100% move on Friday leading into yesterday’s session. We mentioned that MARA could see the .50 range or better yesterday before the session kicked off, and it’s as if we had a crystal ball.

MARA ran from .3718 – .5515 on the day, a 48% push, extending our total observed range on the stock from last Thursday until now, to an impressive 151%

AVEO Pharmaceuticals, Inc. AVEO

After signaling AVEO on Friday morning and watching it set a new 52-week high on the day on enormous volume, we doubled down in yesterday’s report, stating that we wanted to continue to track its progress for continued upward activity, and it was good thing we did.

AVEO wasnt finished, and yesterday’s session was the strongest performance we’ve seen yet. The stock ran fom 1.33 to 2.11 for a 58% intraday rip, and a total two-session swing over our observed low on Friday (1.05) of 100%

Rennova Health, Inc. (Warrants) RNVAZ

We tagged RNVAZ in yesterday’s premarket watchlist, and it turned out to be a great play for the day. It traded up from a low of .05 to as much as .1446 inside of the first 40 minutes of the session.

That worked out to an intraday pop of 189% and it happened on a daily volume of more than 21X the monthly average.

Darden Restaurants, Inc. DRI – Options Idea

DRI (owner of Olive Garden) posted boosted sales and outlook in an impressive earnings beat, and we want to signal a range of options to coincide with what could be a surge of bullish activity. We’ll be focusing our attention on the DRI 07/21 $90-97.50 Calls for potential swing trades.

Vivint Solar, Inc. VSLR

We tagged VSLR back on May 18th at a low of 2.75. On Friday, we were just mentioning how the stock had continued to bull its way up the chart, and we’ve yet to see a down day in nearly twenty trading sessions.

Yesterday VSLR hit a new high of 5.85 marking a total swing of 113% over our witnessed low, and closed at that mark as well. At some point very soon the growth will become unsustainable, granted how overbought the stock is at the moment, but for what it’s worth, to this point, VSLR has been one of the most steady risers we’ve seen in recent weeks.
