Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Double-Bottom Watchlist & More

Double-Bottom Watchlist

We like to look for potential rebound plays in stocks that are displaying a double bottom formation on the chart, and we’ve got three such candidate to add to a recovery watchlist this morning.

InVivo Therapeutics Holding Corp. NVIV, Stein Mart,Inc. SMRT, and Sportsman’s Warehouse Holdings, Inc. SPWH have all begun to trend off of a level of support that has been established on one or more previous occasions. We’ll want to monitor this trio in the days and weeks ahead for possible sustained recoveries.

StarBucks Corp. SBUX – Options Idea

Shares of SBUX really came crashing down this morning, all the way to the $55-level, the lowest PPS since March. We’ll be looking to take advantage of a possible forthcoming rebound when the smoke clears.

SBUX has demonstrated solid support in the $54-area earlier this year, so we’ll look for it to hold there or above on this plummet that comes even as analysts are reporting a good outlook.

Once a rebound begins to materialize, we could see some noteworthy activity in the SBUX 08/18 $54-55 Calls.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: BIg Day for WB & More

Weibo Corp. WB – Options Recap

We decided to track WB on the heels of its earnings beat yesterday and formulated a range of call contracts that we thought would see some nice activity as a result. Post-earnings options ideas are among our favorite types of plays, and WB serves as another example of why we’re always coming back to that well.

We signaled the WB Weekly $67.50-70 Calls, and with the exception of the $68.50’s and $69’s which didn’t trade a lot of volume, we saw some killer single-session moves from the other four contracts in our highlighted range:

$67.50 Calls – Range: .70-10.78 – Max Gain: 1440%
$68 Calls – Range: 4.40-10.80 – Max Gain: 145%
$69.50 Calls – Range: 1.50-7.80 – Max Gain: 420%
$70 Calls – Range: 1.30-8.90 – Max Gain: 584%

Target Corp. TGT – Fresh Idea

Weibo was our fresh idea for yesterday, and today we’ve got another set of ideas to enter into the mix today with TGT.

Based purely on the look of the chart, this morning’s earnings notwithstanding, we’re attracted to the massive gap to fill to the upside, part of which has begun to fill as TGT is gapping up in the premarket.

We’re interested to follow progress on a range of both short and longer-term ideas, namely the TGT Weekly $57-59 Calls, as well as the TGT 06/23 $60-62 Calls. .

xG Technology , Inc. XGTI

We tagged XGTI for observation yesterday morning, and the stock did make a modest move of 24%, trading up from a low of 1.72 to 2.14 on the day.

While not an eye-popping move in and of itself, it did occur on massive volume, on the order of roughly 70X the 30-day average, and this morning in the premarket the stock has hit a new high of 2.19. We’ll definitely be on the lookout for a continuation of the momentum that is built up in this stock.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options, SGMO Recaps & More

Snap, Inc. SNAP – Options Recap

We called for a course-correct on SNAP in our premarket report on Friday after the stock had taken a post-earnings pounding the previous day. Our hunch was spot-on, as SNAP came roaring back to fill a portion of the gap that its beat-down had created, and regardless of which contracts had been chosen, there were sizable gains there for the taking..

We were looking at the SNAP Weekly $18 Calls for potential daytrades, as well as the SNAP 6/16 $18 & 19 Calls for a longer-term idea.

The Weekly $18’s ran from .25-1.38 for a 452% rip. The 6/16 $18’s made a 69% move from 1.18-2.00, while the 06/16 $19 Calls traded from .75-1.45; a 93% pop. We’ll continue to monitor those June 16th calls, and take rolling up to the $20-level into consideration as the stock is once again up in the premarket.
_____

We also added AZN $32-33.50 Weekly Calls as an extra idea on Friday morning and two out of the four contracts in that range provided traders with solid chances for multi-bag gains as well. The movement came in the $33 Calls which ran 112% from .40-.85, and the $33.50’s, which saw a 450% surge from .10-.55.

Sangamo Therapeutics, Inc. SGMO

We had initially tagged SGMO for observation in Thursday morning’s extended watchlist, and the stock finished out the week in strong fashion, recording higher highs and higher lows each day.

On the whole, we’ve thus far seen SGMO trade up from Thursday’s low of 6.05 to a high of 8.5385 on Friday. That works out to a two-day swing of 41%, which is actually quite impressive for a stock in the $6-8 range. We’ll continue to track SGMO in the event that the trend spills over into this week.

BravaTek Solutions, Inc. BVTK

BVTK is a top-notch super sub-penny runner that came out of our daily trader’s chatroom* a month ago and went from .0002-.0041 in a two-day span.

Following that epic run there were a few profitable dip-and-rip opportunities, and Friday we noticed the stock making another solid 100% intraday day run on increasing volume. We want to keep this one on watch this week for a possible continuation of momentum!

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Chatroom Call, SPU Update & More

Another Great Chatroom Call

We’ve been advocating for our daily live trader’s chats pretty heavily lately, and this morning we’ve got yet another example of why. We compile and publish our daily reports every morning between 15-30 minutes prior to the opening bell. We still manage to find great opportunities in the premarket, but sometimes the real movers don’t reveal themselves until regular trading commences. That’s where the chatroom comes in, giving us and our participants the chance to ID solid plays on the fly.

BLDV was one such play, which, subsequent to our chatter’s mention, went on a run from .0005-.0017 for a fantastic intraday rip of 240%

Our chats are open to any of our subscribers who wish to participate, or merely observe, and are conducted exclusively via Skype. Send a contact request to username ‘stocksumo‘ and get involved today!

SkyPeople Fruit Juice, Inc. SPU

We signaled SPU on Monday morning after noticing that it was searching for a bottom. We were mentioning as much in yesterday’s report , along with the fact that our bottom call had been sharp, after the stock bounced off of the 2.30 mark and began to climb 45% to 3.3299.

We also noted that SPU still had a monster gap on the chart to the upside, and for the second straight session the stock hit a new high. It traded in a range from 2.72 to 4.33, which goes down as an intraday move of 59%  From the previous day’s low, it marked a two-session upswing of 88% which occurred on 21X the monthly average volume.

SPU has already been a great bottom bounce call for us, but with the kind of momentum that’s currently present, we’ll continue to watch for it to register higher highs, and higher lows over coming sessions.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: BVTK Pops Again & More

Bravatek Solutions, Inc. BVTK

BVTK was among our mentions in Wednesday’s premarket report after it was unearthed in our chatroom* the previous morning before making a 500% move.  Those who missed that run got another chance right away as the stock ran from .0009-.0035 that afternoon, and topped out at .0041 to close out the short week on Friday. That added another two-day swing of 355% to the activity we had observed in BVTK, which was followed by a pullback to .0015.

Once again, to kick off the new trading week yesterday, BVTK began to run, returning to a high of .0034 on the day, representing yet another two-day upswing out of this volatile runner amounting to 127%  The stock ended the session having traded roughly three-and-a-half times its monthly average volume. Things could get very interesting if it can manage to crack resistance at the previous swing high of .0041.

The company filed an 8-K this morning as well , pertaining to an agreement with i3 Integrative Creative Solutions, pursuant to which i3 Integrative will promote and solicit commitments in the United States federal government military and civilian markets regarding the Company’s cybersecurity email software and telecom services. Bank of America Corp BAC – Options Ideas

Whenever we spot an opportunity to swoop in post-earnings with some options ideas, we jump on it right away, and that’s what we have with BAC this morning.

We haven’t highlighted this stock in quite awhile, but with a very solid beat on earnings and a small gap-up in the premarket, we’re going to want to signal a couple of short term contracts for observation in the BAC Weekly $22.50 and $23 Calls.

In the event that a more sustained rebound is in the cards, considering the fact that BAC was already coming off of a relative bottom just yesterday, we’ll have the BAC 05/12 $23.50 & $24 Calls on watch as well.

Bottom-Watchlist

We want to put an observational tag on both Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc. SRNE and OncoMed Pharmaceuticals, Inc. OMED.  Both of these stocks have taken serious beatings of late, and consequently, are in extreme oversold territory. Chances for recovery plays here seem quite high, so we’re going to watch for these to establish higher lows in sessions ahead.
