Blue Horseshoe Stocks: FL, CNXS Recaps & More

Franchise Holding International, Inc. FNHI

On Friday morning, we were giving our readers an update on the stellar performance of FNHI since we’d first called it back on the 8th. subsequent to which time, the stock was trading at a low of .0061.

Not only did FNHI follow it up with a solid intraday pop, but also extended our total observed range in just over three weeks by a significant margin.

Friday, FNHI traded from 0265-.0449 for an intraday push of 69% That new high, measured from our witnessed low, comes out to an overall upswing of 636%

The stock also closed with strength at .0421, holding most of its daily advance, so we’ll be watching it this morning as we prepare to kick off a new trading week.

Connexus Corp. CNXS

Speaking of big movers, our tag of CNXS in Friday’s report came just in the nick of time for us to catch a fantastic intraday performance.

The stock traded up from a low of .0051, cracked through the penny barrier, and reached as high as .0159, for a whopping run of 212% on the day!

That performance marked the third straight session of higher highs and higher lows, so we’re definitely going to be on the lookout for a possible continuation of that trend. Ideally, we’d like to see CNXS hold support at or above Thursday’s swing high of .0092 on any pullbacks.

Foot Locker, Inc. FL – Options Update

We also need to bring readers up to speed on the excellent  post-earnings options idea we formulated on Friday for Foot Locker, the FL 03/17 $70-75 Calls.

Those contracts provided daytraders with some cherry opportunities for quick gains with FL’s bullish intraday run from 70.37 to 75.37. The potential profits were as follows:

$70 Calls – Range: 2.00-5.00 – Max Gain: 150%
$72.50 Calls – Range: .95-3.60 – Max Gain: 279%
$75 Calls – Range: .26-2.00 – Max Gain: 669%

Special Note on Bitcoin

Prior to last week, the all time high for Bitcoin was $1160, last week that high was broken, and has been making higher highs since.

Winklevoss Bitcoin Trust ETF (Pending:COIN) is subject to approval. Essentially, if the SEC raises no issues by the end of the comment period, the ETF can move forward unhindered. It has caused an increased interest in the space, and as a result, we’ve got our eyes on stocks like the above-mentioned CNXS, along with others like BTSC and GAHC

Bottom-Bouncers to Watch

Each of the following plays seem to have a reasonable shot at taking their chart reversals on Friday into a new trading week, and continuing to rebound. We’ll want to reserve a slot on our radar for each of them.

CannaSys, Inc. MJTKD – We’ve been crazy about marijuana related stocks of late, renewing an interest in a market sector that began more than two years ago. While most cannabis plays enjoyed some type of sustained upward momentum (ranging from moderate to epic) over the course of last month, MJTKD had a major move early on, and then spent the remainder of the time under heavy consolidation.

We’re entering the scene as the stock reached new annual lows on Thursday, and began to recover on Friday. We’re going to be on the lookout for some of that momentum to carry over from here; a run back 50DMA of .0775 from current pricing would represent a move of more than 200%

_______

Windstream Holdings, Inc. WIN
– Just like the above-mentioned play, WIN recorded a new 52-week low on Thursday, followed by the beginnings of a nice rebound on Friday. The chart is looking absolutely ripe, and the company also just announced an all-stock acquisition of EarthLink (>>View PR), so there’s definitely a spotlight being cast upon it at the present time.

We see the possibility of a good bottom play in the stock as well as a chance for an extended-term idea in options chain. We’ll be looking to the WIN 12/16 $7.00-9.00 Calls, which should stand to be big gainers if the stock can make a run at its 50DMA within the next several weeks.

Starbucks Corp. SBUX – Options Recap

Although they failed to maintain their advances throughout the session, the calls we highlighted for Starbucks, the SBUX Weekly $52-53’s, made huge runs early on Friday.

$52 Calls – Range: .10-1.77 – Max Gain: 1670%
$52.50 Calls – Range: .08-1.27 – Max Gain: 1487%
$53 Calls – Range: .05-.78 – Max Gain: 1460%

We also put the SBUX 11/11 $53.50-55 Calls on watch in case the run carried into this week, and despite a big dip later on in the session, the stock is recovering in the premarket this morning, so we’ll want to continue keeping an eye on the contracts in that range.

Options Roundup

We had put a couple of options ideas in place as we closed out the trading week on Friday, and found success across the board.

Amazon.com, Inc. AMZN – It took the better part of the entire morning on Friday for things to heat up for our AMZN puts, but once they did, it sent our highlighted options contracts on one heck of a ride. Those were the AMZN Weekly $780-772.50 Puts and they allowed for profits both approaching and exceeding ten-bagger territory!

Between roughly noon and 3PM, we saw an significant move to the downside which facilitated the following enormous gains:

$780 Puts – Range: .46-4.80 – Max Gain: 943%
$777.50 Puts – Range: .28-3.32 – Max Gain: 1085%
$775 Puts – Range: .14-1.80 – Max Gain: 1185%
$772.50 Calls – Range: .08-1.03 – Max Gain: 1187%

_____

Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd RCL – The contracts we chose for the RCL chain were the RCL 11/18 $67.50-72.50 Calls. These are extended term contracts with plenty of time left until expiration, which explains why the premiums were so high, and the moves were of a lesser magnitude than AMZN. Still, for a first day, we did see some notable gain opportunities, including a double-bagger:

$67.50 Calls – Range: 5.30-7.80 – Max Gain: 47%
$70 Calls – Range: 3.30-5.80 – Max Gain: 76%
$72.50 Calls – Range: 1.70-3.85 – Max Gain: 126%

Axion Power International, Inc. AXPW

We want to circle back to this old familiar play, which up until the past couple of weeks, had been on a continuous downslide for quite some time. Due to a number of factors, we’ll be interested in tracking the stock’s progress off of its recently registered annual lows.

On Friday, the stock made a nice move and temporarily cracked the 50DMA at .0131, which will be the key area of resistance of which we’ll be watching for a sustained break. As you can see on the chart below, the stock recently woke up off of being heavily oversold for an extended period, and we’re going to want to track every step of its recovery.
