Blue Horseshoe: The Week in Review

For as long as we can remember following the Penny Stock Rumble, we can’t recall a time when a newsletter took the top spot on 3 out of 4 days, but with yesterday’s session, we did in fact reach that difficult achievement! We were anticipating our first ever hat-trick, and we were not disappointed. The following video outlines some of this week’s biggest successes:

Tiger Oil & Energy, Inc. TGRO

We started off Monday with TGRO, which traded as low as .36, and hit .635 on Tuesday for a 76% gain. It would then dip back to .38 before reversing again and surging as high as .62 yesterday for up to 63% on the rebound.

That brought this week’s cumulative gains from TGRO to a total of 139%.

BG Medicine, Inc. BGMD

Next came BGMD, which we spotted on Tuesday trading as low as .6115. We would witness this play running to a high of 1.70 by Wednesday, giving us the opportunity at 178% in possible gains.

CytRx Corp. CYTR

Last but not least, was Wednesday’s alert of CYTR, which looks like it could sprout legs again today. CYTR was as low as 3.45 at the time of our initial alert, and hit a high of 6.36 yesterday, racking in 84% in gains!

This morning, CYTR is gapping up once again, trading in the 6.55 range; if the breakout continues, consider it another triple-digit winner for us.

This was the play that gave us our third winning appearance on the Rumble:

Coronado BioSciences, Inc. CNDO

CNDO jumped out at us as a stock with a serious gap to fill on the chart. As you can see below, back in October the stock fell off a cliff from the $6-8 range all the way down to present levels.

This is a potential play that we’ll want to monitor closely moving forward, because a break of the 50DMA could very well lead to the filling of at least a portion of that gap, a move which would carry with it some significant gains.

With calls like these this week, we’ve made other newsletters obsolete! Nowhere else can you find both diversification into many areas of finance(from microcaps, to big-boards, to options-trading & more), and winning picks on such a consistent basis. Why would you go anywhere else? The word ‘quit’ is not in our vocabulary, which is why we’ll come back time and time again, providing our readers with the highest-quality picks available! We’re wrapping up another hugely successful week, so be sure to get back with us on Monday when we’ll do it all over again!

Extended Watchlist:
SFBR, PLUG, MACK, CLSN, ICLD, PVG, PTIX, ETAK

PLUG, BLDP, MACK & Extended Watchlist

Plug Power, Inc. PLUG

We had a feeling that PLUG was going to continue its run yesterday, as stated in our daily report, and once again our instincts served us well. The momentum built up in this stock on Wednesday as it made a 23% move to close out the session on more than 6x the 3mo. average volume was impossible to ignore.

After opening at the key resistance point we outlined (1.45) PLUG briefly dipped to 1.43 and then barreled upward as it touched a high of 1.96, an intraday gain of 37% on roughly 14x the average volume. The momentum continued to build in PLUG and we continued to follow along closely. Remember, our coverage of this play goes back a long way, since the stock was trading in the .11-range.

This morning, the stock is gapping up above 2.00. The current pre-market high of 2.19 represents a gain of 1804% from the low following our first ever PLUG alert back on Feb 28th. The gain from our recent re-alert at a low of 1.04, at this morning’s high, stands at 111%

PLUG has certainly surpassed any expectations we had for it, and as you can see on the chart below, it appears currently overbought, which means the time to take profits off of the table is fast approaching. For newcomers, we believe the best action would be to patiently await a dip, and subsequent rebound, as has occurred several times this year.

Ballard Power Systems, Inc. BLDP

BLDP appeared on our extended watchlist on Wednesday, at which time the stock was trading at a low of 1.34. This morning, we are witnessing a gap-up on a PR that hit the wire post-market yesterday, with trades currently going off in the 1.80-range. We’ll want to keep an eye on the activity here as we close out the week, so we’re reserving a spot on our tickers for BLDP.

VANCOUVER, Dec. 5, 2013 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ — Ballard Power Systems (NASDAQ: BLDP)(TSX: BLD) has announced the signing of a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Van Hool NV, Europe’s fourth largest bus manufacturer, in support of the manufacture and further deployment of zero emission fuel cell buses.>>>FULL STORY

Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, Inc. MACK

MACK is another play we’ve been tracking recently, mentioning it for the first time on November 8th, when it was trading as low as 2.40. Like the previous play, MACK is gapping up this morning to the tune of more than 100% with shares changing hands for more than 4.80.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Dec. 6, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (MACK) today announced that Phase 1 data evaluating safety of the novel agent MM-302 in patients with advanced HER2-positive breast cancer will be presented at the 2013 San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS), December 10-14, 2013 in San Antonio, Texas.  >>> FULL STORY

Extended Watchlist:
GERN, BOSC, CPST, FCEL, PSUN, ENZN, ETAK, OCLS

AAPL, DUSS, ZOOM, ILST & Extended Watchlist

Apple, Inc. AAPL – Options

In Friday’s daily report, we were focusing in on AAPL options. We were watching the $550 Weekly Calls, which dipped as low as .66 before running as high as 8.35, a remarkable intraday move of 1165% They would close the session strong at 6.50. We had also added the $555’s to our radar. Those were as cheap as a nickle, and ran as high as 3.35, for an astonishing 6600% rip. You didn’t read that wrong. We said six-thousand, six hundred percent! Even the $560 Calls (that we mentioned would be a target provided AAPL broke through the $557-mark) traded in a vast range from .03 up to 1.51 (+4933%).

AAPL Options were certainly a trader’s paradise on Friday, so congratulations to anyone who caught our morning report and was able to get in on the incredible action! We’re looking for the upward momentum we saw in AAPL to continue into this week, and wouldn’t be at all surprised to see AAPL at, near, or above $600 by the end of 2013.

Dussault Apparel, Inc. DUSS

We mentioned Friday that if DUSS hold support above the .0007 area that we would remain interested in the stock. It managed to do more than that, trading in a daily range from .0008-.001, giving traders the chance at up to a 25% intraday gain.

We’re tracking DUSS following an announcement that the company would be shifting focus to the mining sector by acquiring some mineral claims, and so we’re going to want to follow that story to its conclusion. The claims, referred to as  “Montauban Gold Tailings” could mean a significant revenue stream for the company if they begin producing gold. While it’s still quite early in this developing storyline, it’s worth keeping an eye on moving forward.

Zoom Technologies, Inc. ZOOM

ZOOM came off of our watchlist on Friday and turned out to be quite an aptly-named stock. It zoomed upward from a low of 5.96, and afforded folks the chance at up to 39% in intraday gains as it touched a high of 8.30.

This comes on the heels of Friday’s announcement that the company had entered into a letter of intent to possibly acquire Baifen Tonglian IT Co., Ltd. which is one of China’s leading mobile ad services providers.

International Star, Inc.  ILST

ILST was another play from our radar on Friday, and it played out a classic dip-and-rip scenario during the day’s session. After touching a low of .002, the stock would rally to close at its high of day at .0028. That was good for an intraday opportunity at a gain of 40%

Extended Watchlist:
ARIA, CAMT, ALU, FRO, CTIC, BOSC, WYY, NLST, MACK

ARIA, CAMT, MACK, ECPN & Extended Watchlist

ARIAD Pharmaceuticals, Inc.  ARIA

Lately, our scans have  certainly been yielding some profitable plays, and after appearing both in Friday’s extended watchlist and yesterday morning’s report, ARIA claimed its place as the next big winner to add to that list. As we approach Thursday’s holiday hiatus, we are expecting market activity to taper as people begin to travel to their holiday destinations and generally prepare for upcoming festivities. We may decide to suspend Wednesday’s newsletter, barring some unforeseen development that may need relaying.

But for now, let’s talk about the big day ARIA had for us yesterday. After opening at 4.06, the stock came back to a low of 3.92  before running up to close at 5.13. The Northerly movement continued post-market, and the stock is gapping up this morning, so we don’t want to let ARIA slip from our radars now. Remember, this stock was trading as high as the 17.00-range as recently as last month, so it still may have some ground to recover.

So far, from Friday’s low of 3.30, the bounce on ARIA has afforded us the opportunity to make up to 55% profit (at yesterday’s closing price) and we suspect that figure could continue to grow today.

Camtek Ltd.  CAMT

CAMT came off of yesterday’s extended watchlist after it had been gapping up in premarket trading, and continued to roll throughout the day. We witnessed a move from 4.11 to a high of 5.29 on 58x the 3mo. average volume, qualifying this as a serious momentum play.

It appears CAMT will gap up once again (currently trading above 6.00) so we have our eyes peeled for continued upward activity today.

Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, Inc. MACK

On November 8th, MACK appeared in our daily report, at which time we mentioned a “big gap on the chart between the 3.00-3.40 level” that would bring us excessive gains if filled. We went on to mention the key point to watch for was a break of the 3.00 mark, and we did in fact witness that event this past Friday.

The move we were watching for did come to fruition, and the party may not be over yet; the stock is currently trading in the 3.50-range, so we will be very interested to see what happens today. We’d like to see MACK hold support at the 50DMA of 3.26 in order for it to have a good chance to pile on some added gains.

El Capitan Precious Metals, Inc. ECPN

ECPN hit our scanners today as a stock coming off of a recent consolidation that followed a big run on the chart. In early October it ran off of its 52-wk low (.055) and would subsequently hit .41 (Nov 13th) before pulling back to find support at .1142 last Thursday. Since that time it has been logging higher lows and higher highs, so we’d like to see a continuation of that trend which could make ECPN fall under the category of a solid recovery play.

We prepped a video chart on ECPN, click below and take a look:

Extended Watchlist:
ECTE, IMUC, ONVO, MBIS, OTIV, ICLD, BLRX

GERN, MACK, ADSU, ACDU & Extended Watchlist

Yesterday’s OTC Shutdown

We wanted to comment on the lack of OTC trading yesterday even though our newsletter didn’t happen to contain any OTC stocks. Due to an alleged glitch in connectivity, FINRA made the call to halt all trading on the OTC Markets. It took most of the day for a solution to be enacted, but apparently the problem was resolved, and trading will resume normally today. This wasn’t the first time this year that a US Market has been shut down for glitches in data streams, as many you of recall, NASDAQ was hit with a similar occurrence which forced a halt back in August.

Geron, Corp. GERN

We added GERN to yesterday’s extended watchlist upon witnessing pre-market trades going off in the 4.00-range. It was gapping up big-time from its previous close at 3.60, and began the day’s trading at 7.25. This was a red flag, and as is usually the case with a stock which has spiked so violently, GERN hit its top at 7.79, and began the inevitable reversal. This would have been an excellent opportunity to short the stock, and cover in the 5.00-range for a rapid profit to the tune of 40%

Merrimack Pharmaceuticals, Inc. MACK

MACK is a bottom-bounce play that we picked up on yesterday, and like it as a potential recovery play. There is a big gap on the chart between the 3.00-3.40 level, the filling of which could provide us with gains of 30% or more. We’ll have it on watch today to break that 3.00-mark.

Aden Solutions, Inc. ADSU
&
Accredited Business Consolidators Corp. ACDU

We noticed that these two plays began to breakout yesterday on abnormally high volume. We want to keep them on watch for a continuation of that momentum into today’s session.

Gainers From Yesterday’s Watchlist

Here are picks from yesterday’s extended watchlist that fared well and offered us the chance at gains:

NeuroMetrix, Inc. NURO saw a low of 2.38, and ran 20% to 2.85 roughly between the hours of 10am-1pm

LivePerson Inc. LPSN touched a low of 10.61 before hitting its daily high at 11.44, an 8% increase.
