Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Bottom-Bouncers & More

Riot Blockchain, Inc. RIOT

Things move pretty fast around here, but we do our best to keep up with tracking on all of the stocks we mention in our daily reports. In certain cases, we see slow buildup, and in others we see a quick rocket to new highs, but in the case of RIOT, we actually got both.

After we highlighted our interest in RIOT roughly two months ago on December 19th, it had been on a rather steady climb, until Friday when the lid blew off the top. Our observed low subsequent to our mention of the stock was 1.29, and Friday’s new high came in at 4.24. That’s a gain of 229% in a span of just eight weeks!

Bristow Group, Inc. BRS

We also wanted to quickly highlight a bottom-bouncer with some real potential to the upside. We ran across BRS this morning, noticing that it had just produced some activity off of a relative bottom.

There is a gap to fill on thwe chart and room to run for some potentially solid gains, so we’ll be keeping an eye peeled for that as we kick off a fresh trading week.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Review & HEMP

Options Review

We’ve placed a lot of focus on options plays this week, and thanks to the help of a solid day for the markets, we saw excellent opportunities for quick strike profits in a couple of them yesterday. Our primary order of business today is to go over the gains that have been made possible by some of our ideas.

The Netflix Inc. NFLX 01/25 $290-300 Calls were an idea we submitted in yesterday morning’s premarket report, and we saw some moderate increases in all five of those contracts, which were as follows:

$290 Calls – Range: 14.15-16.30 – Max Gain: 15%
$292.50 Calls – Range: 11.00-14.70 – Max Gain: 34%
$295 Calls – Range: 10.05-16.25 – Max Gain: 62%
$297.50 Calls – Range: 11.25-14.00 – Max Gain: 24%
$300 Calls – Range: 8.60-13.07 – Max Gain: 52%
____

We also formulated an idea for the SPDR S&P500 ETF (SPY) on Tuesday morning, the SPY Weekly $266.50-268.50 Calls, and those have flourished thanks to the bullish session for stocks in general yesterday. Here are the ranges on those contracts so far:

$266.50 Calls – Range: 1.25-3.55 – Max Gain: 184%
$267 Calls – Range: 1.02-3.20 – Max Gain: 214%
$267.50 Calls – Range: .89-2.86 – Max Gain: 221%
$268 Calls – Range: .74-2.60 – Max Gain: 251%
$268.50 Calls – Range: .66-2.28 – Max Gain: 245%

_______

Hemp, Inc. HEMP

We also wanted to make mention of HEMP, a long-time familiar play which we most recently tagged on November 30th, subsequent to which time we would observe a low of .0292.

Thanks to the passing of the farm bill in the House by a landslide, hemp and its byproducts, which includes CBD, has just been legalized at the federal level. That means big things for HEMP, and many other companies involved in CBD production and distribution. The news led to a new high of .045 for HEMP- a 54% move over our observed low from a couple of weeks ago.

Zillow Group, Inc. Z – Update

Last Wednesday we also began tracking some options ideas on Zillow, which caught our eye when we noticed some insider buying at relative lows. We highlighted the Z 01/18 $30-40 Calls, and immediately began to see results. Zillow stock has been on a steady incline ever since, beginning to fill the large topside gap on the chart.

We’re happy to report new highs on all three of our selected contracts, which have thus far provided us with the following gain opportunities.

Spectrum Global Solutions, Inc. SGSI – Update

In our initial report on SGSI, one of the things we commented on liking most about SGSI is the rapidity with which the company has been pulling down new clients and growing its business in 2018. This morning, we’re going to start things off by relaying a new PR to that effect on to our readers.

(GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Spectrum Global Solutions, Inc. Blue Horseshoe Stocks: AAPL Recap, MDCN News & More

Apple, Inc. AAPL – Options Recap

To start things off this week we want to look back to Friday’s report wherein we suggested that $131 and $132 Weekly Calls would be in play for possible daytrading opportunities, and our assertion was spot-on. The trading range on the $131 Calls was from .63-1.98, which was an overall spike of 214%, while the $132’s jumped from .14 to 1.00; a total increase of 614%

Those ranges, while extremely impressive, only reflect a fraction of the total possible gains for folks with daytrading ability. As you can see on the following chart snapshots of Friday’s intraday activity, these AAPL Calls were both what we commonly refer to as a “Flipper’s Dream”. Not one, but three big swings could have provided major ammunition for top-shelf profits.

Medican Enterprises, Inc. MDCN

MDCN is a marijuana-related stock that we’ve tracked in the past that has cropped up with a noteworthy PR this morning that we think our readers ought to check out.

Additionally, following a huge a huge run in late March, the stock has been under serious consolidation so it also qualifies as a potential bottom play as well. This will definitely be one to keep on our radars this week.
