Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Bottom-Plays & More

DISH Network Corp DISH

There’s a possible bottom-bounce opportunity brewing with DISH, with the stock posting its first bullish session after a string of five consecutive days of getting beaten to a pulp.

We want to signal a range of September calls that would stand to make considerable moves if the stock can mount an extended recovery. We like the volatility that DISH provides, and will be looking for it to test the 200DMA (61.38) while  tracking the DISH 09/08 $60-62.50 Calls over the days and weeks ahead.  .

Snap, Inc. SNAP

This is another stock that’s gotten beaten up recently, but instead of a handful of sessions, SNAP has been under consolidation for more than two months. In fact, the vast majority of the time since its IPO has been spent on the backslide.   It only recently began to record higher lows off of its newly established all-time low, and indicators on the chart suggest that a more convincing rebound could be in the cards.

We’ll want to pay close attention to the company’s post-market earnings call this afternoon, which could be a turning point in the early history of this relatively new stock.

Post-Earnings Gappers

We’re seeing premarket gap-ups for all three of the following stocks. We’re going to issue some options ideas for each chain to watch for day trades and or swing trades into tomorrow, depending on the activity we observe.

Macy’s, Inc. M – Weekly $22-24 Calls
Perrigo Co. plc PRGO – Weekly $73-75 Calls
Canada Goose Holdings, Inc. GOOS – Weekly $19-20.50 Calls

Extended Watchlist:
DPW, XXII, HDSN, RADA, IDXG

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PIRS, Options Recaps & More

Pieris Pharmaceuticals, Inc. PIRS

We tagged PIRS in yesterday morning’s premarket report via the extended watchlist after the company released some press regarding a strategic partnership with pharma giant AstraZeneca. That’s all many traders needed to hear, as an incredible amount of buying came in, with volume on the order of more than 206 times the 30-day average.

That massive momentum gave PIRS a steady push in a bullish direction, as the stock rose from a low of 3.0299 to a high of 3.97, a solid intraday climb of 31% We would be quite surprised if that was last of the bullish activity in PIRS after such a big announcement and subsequent massive accumulation of shares.

Weight Watchers International, Inc. WTW – Options Recap

Our fresh options idea for the day yesterday was to track the WTW Weekly $24-25 Calls after noticing elevated post-earnings (out Tuesday) activity. Oprah’s association with the company that began at the end of 2015 has had a lasting positive effect and led to increased revenues and a heightened outlook for the remainder of the fiscal year.

Were looking for these things to drive some movement in the contracts we were looking at, and that’s just what happened early on in the session. Any of the three sets of contracts within our highlighted range would have given traders the opportunity to bank multi-bag profits right from the opening bell. The following gains were up for grabs in the first 45 minutes of the session.

$24 Calls – Range: .52-1.33 – Max Gain: 156%
$24.50 Calls – Range: .40-.81 – Max Gain: 102%
$25 Calls – Range: .32-.65 – Max Gain: 103%

DISH Network Corp. DISH – Options Recap

Our bearish options idea from Monday morning’s premarket report was to monitor the DISH 05/12 $62-60 Puts after noticing that not only did DISH have a disappointing earnings release, but that the chart was also looking top-heavy prior to that.

Our idea has worked out exceedingly well, whether traders took our suggestion to go with the contracts expiring next week as we listed, or simply went with the weeklies, which also made massive moves. Here are the potential gains that were up for grabs on our listed contracts:

$62 Puts
– Range: .40-1.48 – Max Gain: 270%
$61.50 Puts – Range: .40-.91 – Max Gain: 127%
$61 Puts – Range: .21-.50 – Max Gain: 138%
$60.50 Puts – Range: .26-.43 – Max Gain: 65%
$60 Puts – Range: .10-.50 – Max Gain: 400%

First NBC Bank Holding Co. FNBC

Monday, on FNBC we commented that “we’ll have to monitor this one for its bottom, but after it’s reached we could in in for a heck of a bounce”. That bottom came the very next day at .0932 and yesterday, the big bounce we were mentioning came to pass as FNBC rushed to a high of .35.

That works out to a fantastic two-day swing of 276% and with the stock gapping up slightly in the premarket today, we could see an extension of those gains.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: AMLH Update, Options Idea

American Leisure Holdings, Inc. AMLH

After watching it run more than 2000% several weeks ago, we began tracking AMLH’s subsequent consolidation and rebound, and the results have been quite pleasing to this point. On Thursday morning, we recapped the stock’s progress to that point as it bounced and ran from .0029-.007 (141%). We also said we’d be on the lookout for the stock to break that resistance at .007, and on Friday, that’s just what it did.

AMLH traded in a daily range from .0058 to .0093, which goes down as an intraday jump of 60%, and a big-time increase of 220% over the previous week’s swing low.

Our regular readers will recall that AMLH started out as a call from our daily live trader’s chatroom on March 27th*, and from the low we witnessed at that time (.0003) this stock has posted an astonishing 3000% upswing!

*As always, we invite any of our readers to participate and/or observe our live in-session trader’s chats via Skype. Simply send a contact request to username “stocksumo” to get involved!

DISH Network Corp. DISH – Options Idea

We noticed that not only is DISH looking relatively toppy on the chart at the moment, as you can see on the snapshot below, but this morning the company also had a rather ugly earnings release. It included declines in revenue and profits, not to mention more subscriber loss.

We don’t often jump to the bearish side of the fence with our ideas, but in this case it seems appropriate. We’re going to have the DISH 05/12 $62-60 Puts on our radar to take advantage of what could be a significant backslide over the next several sessions.

Ocwen Financial Corp. OCN
& First NBC Bank Holding Co. FNBC

We want to put this pair of finance plays on watch after noticing that both stocks have been beaten back quite a bit over a relatively short period of time.

In the case of OCN, the stock is massively oversold after falling off a cliff a couple of weeks ago, but began to bounce last week, and is gapping up significantly in the premarket.

FNBC is actually gapping down heavily (roughly 90%) in the premarket, so we’ll have to monitor this one for its bottom, but after it’s reached we could in in for a heck of a bounce here as well.

Extended Watchlist:
CEI. GRLT, BLPH, PLUG, MTBC, JIVE, XXII

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: ICLD Recap, Options & More

InterCloud Systems, Inc. ICLD

On Friday we noted that ICLD had rebounded off of its 52-week lows, and directed our readers to pay close attention over ensuing sessions, as the volume had really been ramping up significantly.

This was after tagging the play in our extended watchlist on Thursday We watched as the stock traded as low as .0157 that day and began to gain ground. Yesterday ICLD turned in another strong session to start the week, achieving a new high of .0245. That represents a three-session swing of 56% for this play since we’ve been closely tracking it.

We’ll continue to have ICLD on watch as it both breached through, and closed above its 50DMA yesterday, and its strength index is rising rapidly.

Dish Network Corp. DISH – Options Idea

Standard & Poors revealed late yesterday, that DISH would be added to the S&P500, and this morning, the stock is gapping up moderately in the premarket to the tune of 5%

We want to be standing at the ready with a solid options play, should the bullish activity carry over into today’s session, so we’re going to identify the DISH Weekly $63-65 Calls as targets for potential intraday/intraweek flip opportunities.
