Blue Horseshoe Stocks: CASI, BYOC, HMNY Recaps

Beyond Commerce, Inc. BYOC

It was the morning of September 25th that we tagged BYOC for observation and it has essentially undergone a continual uptrend over that time period.

That morning we witnessed a low of .0035 in the stock and as of yesterday’s new high reached just prior to the close, was .0189. That amounts to a very impressive boost of 440% over a time span of just 13 trading days.

CASI Pharceuticals, Inc. CASI

We placed CASI on watch in yesterday morning’s premarket report, and wanted to come back this morning to talk about its performance. The stock ran extremely hard out of the starting gate and attainted its high within the first half hour of trading.

Despite failing to maintain its gains into the close, the run it made was impressive nonetheless. CASI’s low came in at 2.82 and it reached as high as 4.84, for an intraday pop of 92%

Helios & Matheson Analytics, Inc. HMNY

We also want to take a final look at the overall move HMNY has made for us. It appears as if its epic run is over but it brought with it one of the biggest, fastest moves we’ve ever seen in a stock in its price range.

From our observed low of 5.47 subsequent to our alert on the stock on September 20th, to yesterday’s mind-bending high of 38.86, represents a rise of 610% Congratulations to anyone who was able to take this one for a ride.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Bottom-Watchlist, Options & More

Fresh Bottom-Watchlist

Our morning scan yielded up a couple of stocks trading at or near their relative bottoms that we want to put on the radar this midweek.

Canadian Solar, Inc. CSIQ

CSIQ began showing some life yesterday after it briefly touched its lowest PPS since last summer and began to rebound into the close. This morning, a Q1 earnings beat is fueling a gap-up into the $17-range. We’ll be on the lookout for quick-strike options trades with the CSIQ Weekly $16.50-18 Calls. Especially if a dip-and-rip occurs at the outset, we could really see some significant intraday swings out of contracts in that range.

Sequenom, Inc. SQNM

SQNM is interesting as a bottom-watcher on a couple of different levels. Not only is it extremely low-priced for a NASDAQ play at just over the exchange minimum PPS of a dollar, but it has also seen an influx of insider buying this week. We’ll have to stay wary as chart indicators suggest the stock may yet need to search out its ultimate bottom, but we’ll be ready for a rebound at any time in coming sessions. It could come quickly in this case, so keep your eyes peeled.

Macy’s Inc. M – Options Idea

We’ve also got our eyes on Macy’s this morning, which has been on a fairly continuous downslide for the better part of three weeks, and is getting kicked hard again in premarket trading this morning.

The company tempered its guidance for the remainder of the year, and missed estimates on sales considerably in this morning’s earning call. We’re going to look to turn the bearish sentiment surrounding the stock at the into a possible boon for ourselves. To do this we’ll look to the M Weekly $36-34 Puts for possible daytrades and/or swing trades into week’s end.

TCPS, STWG & Extended Watchlist

TechnoConcepts, Inc. TCPS

TCPS was trading as low as .0025 on Tuesday following our first mention of it. Yesterday, after being featured the morning report, the stock went on to reach a high of .0087, marking a walloping two-day gain of up to 248%

We need to mention, this stock has been on a consistent uptrend for the past five sessions, so it’s time for us to start thinking about the inevitable pullback which follows a big surge. While it’s not altogether clear whether that will come today or tomorrow (as Friday’s tend to be big profit-taking sessions), it will be important for those of us still in, to play with tight mental stops to protect our profits, and remain very cautious of a reversal.

S2C Global Systems, Inc. STWG

We mentioned STWG for the first time back in December when the stock was trading in the .0011 area, and managed to hit .0038 the very same day. It would subside back to .001-range in the weeks that followed.

We were prompted to put STWG back on our watchlist on April 19th, as the day before, it had broke a previous resistance point at .0036. From there, we’ve seen it hold above the 50DMA as support.

Yesterday and the day before, it touched .0087 (a 691% gain off the original low), breaking the previous high of .0076, on the heels of a PR out this week:

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., May 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — S2C Global Systems, Inc. and its wholly-owned subsidiary S2C Global Resources (STWG) (“the “Company”) are pleased to announce that the Company is advancing rapidly to obtain Current Information status on the OTC Markets/Pink Sheets. In addition to other corporate developments soon to be announced, this is an important milestone for STWG in its plans to return to fully reporting status on the OTC Bulletin Board within the next twelve to eighteen months.

Side Note:
Since Ben Bernanke discussed the Fed’s tapering of quantitative easing measures yesterday, the markets began to go into freefall. We are also seeing a big gap-down in the markets this morning, and as always we want to find ways to use current conditions to our advantage. We are paying attention to the call options on the VIX, VXX, and UVXY, as they tend to go up when the market tanks. We will also be looking at SPY puts.
