Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Bucking the Trend

HUYA Inc. HUYA – Bucking the Trend

Despite the markets as a whole precipitating the worst single-session drop-off of 2019 thus far, yesterday morning we included an options idea for HUYA on the heels of its earnings, and the stock was able to buck the overall market trend.

We had the HUYA Weekly $21-22 Calls on watch for the day, and all three contract sets afforded traders the chance at multi-bag gains on the day, flying in the face of the bloodbath that was occurring elsewhere.

The total potential profits on the table for those HUYA options were as follows:

$21 Calls – Range: .58-1.30 – Max Gain: 124%
$21.50 Calls – Range: .40-.95  – Max Gain: 138%
$22 Calls – Range: .20-.70 – Max Gain: 250%

**We published the right ranges, but the wrong set of gains in error this morning. Our apologies. The table has now been updated to reflect the correct percentage gains.

More Fresh Options Ideas:

Stock futures are headed back up this morning, at least in the premarket, on the heels of Walmart’s earnings report. We’re going to formulate a corresponding idea for that chain, as well as the SPY, and Alibaba which also reported its earnings today.

SPY Weekly $284.50-286 Calls
WMT Weekly $111-114 Calls
BABA Weekly $165-170 Calls

Red Rocks Resort, Inc. RRR

To finish things up this morning, we’re going to place RRR on watch for a potential recovery n the days and weeks ahead. We noticed a series of Form-4 buys coming in at the bottom following the company’s earnings beat last week, to the tune of more than $20M.

You can also see that the MACD, one of our go-to indicators, is ripening for a bullish cross at any time. The volatility potential is here as well. We’ll want to radar RRR for a rebound going forward.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Fresh New Options Ideas

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. BABA – Review

On Friday morning, apart from recapping the amazing options idea we proffered in last week’s reports, we formulated one final fresh idea for the week. That was the BABA Weekly $165-162.50 Puts, and the performance there did not disappoint.

We sussed out multibag options gainers all week long, and this short on BABA was a solid way to cap it all off. The $165 Puts ran from a low of .78 and reached 2.26, for an intraday gain of 190% The $162.50’s also fared quite well, running from 1.84-4.36, which represents a 137% rip.

PCT Ltd. PCTL – Recap

We tracked PCTL to some pretty impressive gains following our initial alert on the play just under two weeks ago. We continued tagging it in our extended watchlist into this week, and after a brief consolidation, we observed more bullish activity out of the stock.

On Wednesday, PCTL dipped to a low of .0095, very briefly existing as a subpenny play once again, before making its next move. That led to a high of .02 yesterday, which represents a two-day swing of 111%

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Quick Strike Ideas

India Globalization Capital, Inc. IGCC

First up this morning is a recap of IGCC following its inclusion in our premarket extended watchlist yesterday. The stock didn’t blow its lid, but it did continue the solid run of intraday performances off of its lows from earlier this week which were precipitated by the company’s recent delisting from the NASDAQ down to the OTC Markets.

The stock traded in a range from 1.22-1.84 before tapering back off, which stood as an intraday gain of 51% We’re going to look for IGCC to continue to fill the remaining gap on the chart. As you can see on the included snapshot, the MACD is also beginning to converge toward a bullish cross.

Fresh Options Ideas*:

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. BABA – After beating on earnings and missing on revenues, BABA surged this morning, making it our prime bullish target among companies that reported their quarterly earnings today. We’re going to focus on the BABA Weekly 152.50-160 Calls*.
_____

SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) – We’ve had some good luck with the SPY this week, which isn’t all that surprising when considering the fact that we have a long documented history of success with this fund. We’re so deep in the money with our previously targeted calls, that we’re going to go ahead and roll up our potential strike prices to the SPY Weekly $274.50-276 Calls* as we close out the week.
_____

Weight Watchers International, Inc. WTW – Strangely enough, despite also beating on earnings and missing on revs like the aforementioned play, WTW took a gut punch and appears on track for a bearish session. We’re going to be tracking the WTW Weekly $58.50-56.50 Puts* as a result.

Bonus Idea: AMD Weekly $20-21 Calls*

*NEVER trade weekly options on a Friday unless you’re an expert level trader with disposable funds!

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: BABA Options & More

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd BABA – Options

To kick off this brand new trading week, we are interested in tracking a range of calls in the BABA chain, after shares dipped on the news that co-Founder Jack Ma will be stepping down and handing full control over to the CEO effect next year.

The reactionary selloff may provide us with some solid options trading chances, so we are going to keep an eye on the BABA 10/12 $165 & 167.50 Calls in the days and weeks ahead.

OPKO Health Inc. OPK

Shares of OPK took a bath on Friday, briefly falling below the stock’s 200DMA, and closing well in the red on the day. We’re going to signal our interest in tracking OPK as a bottom-watch play.

The stock is approaching extremely oversold territory, and in the midst of its downturn we observed some Form-4 submissions, with insiders buying up shares on Friday as the bottom fell out.

That suggests a confidence that it may not have much further to fall, so we will want to hang around as OPK searches for a bottom and solid rebound point.
