Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Quick Strike Ideas

India Globalization Capital, Inc. IGCC

First up this morning is a recap of IGCC following its inclusion in our premarket extended watchlist yesterday. The stock didn’t blow its lid, but it did continue the solid run of intraday performances off of its lows from earlier this week which were precipitated by the company’s recent delisting from the NASDAQ down to the OTC Markets.

The stock traded in a range from 1.22-1.84 before tapering back off, which stood as an intraday gain of 51% We’re going to look for IGCC to continue to fill the remaining gap on the chart. As you can see on the included snapshot, the MACD is also beginning to converge toward a bullish cross.

Fresh Options Ideas*:

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. BABA - After beating on earnings and missing on revenues, BABA surged this morning, making it our prime bullish target among companies that reported their quarterly earnings today. We’re going to focus on the BABA Weekly 152.50-160 Calls*.

SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) – We’ve had some good luck with the SPY this week, which isn’t all that surprising when considering the fact that we have a long documented history of success with this fund. We’re so deep in the money with our previously targeted calls, that we’re going to go ahead and roll up our potential strike prices to the SPY Weekly $274.50-276 Calls* as we close out the week.

Weight Watchers International, Inc. WTW – Strangely enough, despite also beating on earnings and missing on revs like the aforementioned play, WTW took a gut punch and appears on track for a bearish session. We’re going to be tracking the WTW Weekly $58.50-56.50 Puts* as a result.

Bonus Idea: AMD Weekly $20-21 Calls*

*NEVER trade weekly options on a Friday unless you’re an expert level trader with disposable funds!

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Review & More

Post Earnings Options Review

Our premarket report on Friday focused on two sets of options ideas from companies which had just posted earnings beats that morning. As it turns out, there was a big time opportunity in each of them.

General Electric Co. GE - We signaled the GE Weekly $14-15 Calls, and it was the $14 and $14.50′s that produced solid chances to profit from that idea. The $14′s ran 106% from .36-.74, and the $14.50 really shined with a move from .03 to .25, a whopping gain of 733%

HoneyWell International, Inc. HON – We also highlighted our interest in tracking the HON Weekly $150 & $152.50 Calls for possible day-trades, and while the 152.50′s didnt see a lot of action, the $150′s were a perfect idea, trading in a mind boggling range from .01 to .52, a 5100% single session gain! Big cheers to anyone who caught a piece of that action!

Hasbro, Inc. HAS

Hasbro came out with their quarterly earning report which disappointed, according to the company, because of the Toys ‘R Us shutdown. The stock had already registered a new 52 week low on Friday after nearly two months of backsliding, and we’re still thinking it has a ways to fall.

That’s why we’re going to adopt a bearish stance and signal the HAS Weekly $78-76 Puts to start of this new trading week.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Bottom-Watch Play & More

Synergy Pharmaceuticals Inc. SGYP – Bottom Watch

We noticed SGYP start to sell off rapidly last week, after a poor earnings report and the pricing of a public offering on the stock with shares being offered at 2.58. Combined with the start of tax-loss selling season, and SGYP has approached extreme oversold territory.

We’ve now begun to take interest in this as a bottom watch play to monitor for a rebound in coming sessions, and it could ultimately be quite a recovery. We’ve got a stock that was trading for nearly seven dollars a share at the beginning of this year, beaten all the way down to new annual lows. If SGYP were to regain even a portion of the ground it’s lost in recent months, it would be worth our time to track it.

Wal-Mart Stores, inc. WMT – Options Idea

Looking at this morning’s premarket earnings calendar, it was WMT that jumped out at us the most, with a solid beat, and heightened guidance propelling the stock to a moderate gap up at the moment.

We’re going to formulate a quick options idea to try to take advantage of the situation. Walmart has been exceptionally bullish for most of this year, and is currently soaring into blue skies, setting a new annual high with every uptick.

We’re going to put the WMT Weekly $92-96 Calls on watch for the remainder of the week.

Dollar General Corp. DG – Recap

After a beat on sales and profits for the quarter and a chart primed for a bullish move, we highlighted the DG Weekly $75-78 Calls and we’re happy to report that each and every one of the contracts contained within that range recorded huge intraday moves for us.

Regardless which set of the seven was chosen, multi-bag gains were there for the taking:

$75 Calls – Range: .92-3.10 – Max Gain: 237%
$75.50 Calls – Range: .64-.2.22 – Max Gain: 247%
$76 Calls – Range: .40-2.05 – Max Gain: 412%
$76.50 Calls – Range: .24-1.20 – Max Gain: 400%
$77 Calls – Range: .12-1.21 – Max Gain: 908%
$77.50 Calls – Range: .06-.80 – Max Gain: 1233%
$78 Calls – Range: .05-.45 – Max Gain: 800%

Lululemon Athletica LULU – Fresh Ideas

Lululemon had an earnings beat of its own yesterday post-market, so we want to formulate some ideas for the LULU chain as well.

Not only is the stock gapping up on earnings, but like DG yesterday, the LULU chart was already looking like a bottom-play with premium potential. That’s why we want to formulate both a short and long term set of ideas for LULU options. The LULU Weekly $55-57.50 Calls*, to coincide with the immediate boost in activity off of these earnings, and the LULU 06/30 58.50-60.50 Calls in the event of a protracted recovery.

*We never highlight options with a weekly expiration on a Friday without an explicit warning. That should tell you how risky it can be. So if you’re not an expert trader, don’t even think about it!

Synergy Pharmaceuticals, Inc. SGYP

We also want to put SGYP on watch today after noticing that the stock is coming off of its 52-week lows. That’s always a chart setup that we’re going to look at, but in this case the lows followed shartly after the company producing positive Phase III data on its TRULANCE™ drug, which is already approved by the FDA.

We’ve included a chart snapshot here, and you can plainly see, the stock had been beaten back severely and is only just now beginning to mount a rebound.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Continued Options Tracking & More

Options Recap

To start things off today we’ll be going over the continued success of our running options ideas for the week. During market conditions like the ones we’ve been seeing, oftentimes big gains from stocks can be fewer and farther between, so it’s nice to be able to fall back on options trading. Quarterly periods where earnings reports are dropping with the highest frequency really provides a lot of great chances for quick strike profits.

Ford Motor Co. (F) - Ford has been an excellent example of a massive gainer in a short span. We’ve been tracking F Weekly $14.50 and $15 Calls since Tuesday, at which time we observed lows of .18 and .02 respectively.  After the $14.50′s made huge gains possible for us that day, the $15′s joined in yesterday and both sets went haywire.

The $14.50′s ran from a daily low of .35 to a high of .78; an intraday romp of 123%

The $15′s traded in a massive range from .05-.32, giving daytraders a shot at gains of up to 540% on the session, and giving us yet another multi-bag call in what has been a landmark week for our options-trading ideas!

Pfizer, Inc. PFE – We also offered suggestions for Pfizer in the same Tuesday report, the   PFE Weekly $34.50 and $35 Calls. We saw lows of .26 and .10 respectively for those contracts. Yesterday, new highs were set in both cases, with the $34.50′s making a total move of 476% to 1.50, and the $35′s ramping up to the tune of 970% as they surged as high as 1.07.

Following a recap of the two preceding plays in yesterday’s morning report, we presented a couple of fresh ideas and both of those ended up yielding significant opportunities as well:

Twitter, Inc. TWTR – We went bearish on TWTR and submitted our interest in the Weekly $34-32 Puts, and the chances to gain were plentiful:$34 Puts - Daily Range: 1.32-3.60 – Max Gain: 173%
$33.50 Puts - Daily Range: 1.00-2.35 – Max Gain: 135%
$33 Puts - Daily Range: .76-2.00 – Max Gain: 163%
$32.50 Puts - Daily Range: .55-1.48 – Max Gain: 169%
$32 Puts - Daily Range: .38-1.12 – Max Gain: 123%

Micron Technologies, Inc. MU - For MU we drew attention to Weekly $19-20.50 Calls and were met with some nice opportunities there also. $19.50 ran from .75-1.10 (+47%) and the $20 Calls traded in a range from .40-.75 (+88%).

Mobile Broadcasting Holding, Inc.  MBHC

MBHC has released a fresh PR this morning that we’ll suggest all our readers take a look at, as it pertains to the company’s ‘Whirld’ app  which, if everything remains in step with the timeline previously given by MBHC, is slated for official launch in mid-August.

Here’s a look at the current chart for MBHC on the snapshot below. The stock has managed to hold support off of the 50DMA amid recent consolidation, and we’ll be on the lookout for it to get its next leg up soon, especially with the app launch just a couple of short weeks away:
