Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Share Reduction Play & More

Profitable Developments, Inc. PRDL

It’s been awhile since we’ve run across a stock trading at a dead bottom (.0001), and even longer since we’ve discussed one in our reports, but in light of the PR we caught this morning on PRDL, we’re going to make an exception.

We might call a stock like this a “lottery ticket”; a low probability, extreme high reward play. Super-subpennies by nature areĀ  highly speculative, but have the tantalizing quality of having nowhere to go but up. Especially in the instance of a stock like PRDL which announced a massive share reduction this morning.

With a stock trading in a higher price range, a 30% reduction should roughly equate to a similar gain on the chart. With a stock like PRDL, where each tick up on the chart equals a 100% gain, there’s really no telling where the road will lead. We just know we’re very interested to observe the result.

Starting with a block of two billion shares, the company is claiming to have planned for the retirement of a total of 30% of its common stock, click through to the PR below:

NEW YORK, NY , United States / ACCESSWIRE / Aug 6, 2014 / Profitable Developments, Inc. (OTC PINK: PRDL), today announced that it plans to retire a total of four billion shares of common stock. >>> FULL PR

Med-Cannabis Pharma, Inc. MCPI

Following Monday’s initial alert on MCPI, we observed a low of .0355, and sent out an update yesterday afternoon to highlight the 30% move the stock had made up to that point (.465). However, MCPI ended up pushing into the close at a new high of .485 and increasing our total possible two-session gain to as high as 37%

It remains on our radar today after such a strong close. Any time a stock closes at a new high of day, there’s always a chance for some momentum spill-over into the following session.

Petroleo Brasiliero S.A. (Petrobras) PBR – Options Update

We’ve been hot on the trail of the PBR $16 Weekly Calls this week, tracking them from a low of .20 following Monday’s report, to yesterday’s high of .64 (+220%). After that spike, we saw a pullback, and the contracts ended up closing out the day at .30.

From here, we’ll be looking for the possibility of a dip-and-rip scenario, so it’ll be important to keep our eyes peeled for quick-strike opportunities.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: VIDG, PBR Calls & More

Vid3G, Inc. VIDG

We’re bringing VIDG up as an item of interest this morning as a stock that is coming off of its 52-week lows, and our subscribers are well aware, we’ve seen plays like these produce exponential gains on the rebound many times in the past.

Yesterday’s session saw a rapid swing up from that annual low (.01), and VIDG managed to break through its 50DMA at .015, as well as maintain that level into the close. Another session of higher highs and higher lows would go a long way toward confirming this uptrend. We’d like to see that previous area of resistance hold as support moving ahead, and based on a number of indicators on the chart, the chance for a bounce to .02 or better is certainly present; VIDG has produced spikes of that magnitude several times this year.

We illustrate this and other points on the chart in the following video, so take a look:

Petroleo Brasiliero S.A. (Petrobras) PBR – Options

On Friday
, we mentioned our interest in the PBR $16 Calls for this week, and included a reminder in yesterday morning’s report as well. We’ve become quite adept at playing the PBR options chain over the last several months, and these alerts simply confirm that.

The action on the $16 Weekly Calls indeed proved to be significant as the trading week commenced, with yesterday’s session seeing an intraday move from .20-.38, good for gains of up to 90% A great way to kick things off for these contracts which are now in the money, and we’ll be sticking with the $16’s as the week presses on.

Should PBR approach the 16.35-level, we would then have to consider moving up our strike price.

IsoRay, Inc. ISR

We also want to throw ISR into the mix this morning, as the stock is gapping up off of a relative bottom on some exciting news this morning, so we wanted to enter this into the log as an interesting play that we’re going to want to keep an eye on.

RICHLAND, WA, Aug 05, 2014 (Marketwired via COMTEX) — IsoRay Inc. (NYSE MKT: ISR), a medical technology company and innovator in seed brachytherapy and medical radioisotope applications, today announced the publication of the first major peer reviewed study showing superior results using IsoRay’s Cesium-131 seeds in the treatment of metastatic brain cancer. >>>FULL PR

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Momentum Play & More

Vision Plasma Systems, Inc. VLNX

We’ve got a sub-penny momentum play on our hands this morning in the form of VLNX. This volatile trader has been swinging violently over the past few months, sometimes more than a hundred percent at a time.

We’re going to have our eyes on VLNX as we close the book on another trading week; the stock came from beneath .001 yesterday and began to run, hitting a daily high of .0017. As you can see on the included chart below, a move past that point would open the door on much larger gains.

When VLNX has surged in recent months, it has routinely peaked in the .002-.004 range. A run back to those levels from here would provide a good chance for quick profits, and chart indicators are showing a forthcoming spike to be a distinct possibility.

FTE Networks, Inc. FTNW

We saw some action from FTNW after including it in yesterday’s report, as the stock offered up the opportunity for modest gains on the order of 23% intraday from .0303 to .04.

While the chart data shows that the stock hit highs in the .055-.065 range, those were what we refer to as “fat-finger prints”; blocks of such small volume so as to make them insignificant, since it would have been impossible to exit any sizable position at those prices.

Still, gains of up to 23%, which were possible, are nothing to thumb your nose at.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Trading Ideas

Intuitive Surgical, Inc. ISRG

When we first tagged ISRG back on May 6th, the stock was just making its way down to its 3-year low, which came a couple of sessions later at 346.46. From that point, we saw a powerful uptrend that carried the stock back up to 426.43 (Jun 27th). It allowed us to play the options chain quite effectively over the course of several weeks.

Following that major run, we’ve seen some consolidation, coming back to the $380-level just recently, and currently, the stock is pressing new highs in premarket trading, to the tune of $444.

We did mention a long-term interest in the Aug.-Oct. $420-440 Calls back in June, and that insight is now paying off bigtime.

Petroleo Brasiliero S.A. PBR -Options

When we looked in on PBR on Monday, we were patting ourselves on the back for some excellent picks of last week’s $16.50 and $17 Weekly Calls, mentioning that we’d stick with the same ideas to begin this week.

It has turned out to be another great call on our part; just look at the action in those weekly calls during yesterday’s session:

The 16.50’s ran from .25 to 1.07, a possible intraweek gain of up to 328% while the $17 Calls surged from .13 up to .75, a 477% move. This was just one of many, many times that we’ve used the PBR options chain to our extreme advantage this year.

New Options-Trading Ideas

As our regulars have undoubtedly noticed, a good portion of our focus these days goes to options trading. We’ve become quite adept at spotting trends and using them to our benefit, and we’ve got a couple of new potential plays to add to the mix this morning.

Alcoa, Inc. AA

Alcoa has been building one beast of a chart over the past few months, and there looks to be no end in sight. We may be able to use this strong uptrend to leverage ourselves some nice gains out of AA Options. Specifically, the 08/16 $17 Calls, which closed at .44 yesterday after having traded in a range from .25-.48 on the day.

Yum! Brands, Inc. YUM

YUM got beat up recently, falling off a cliff at the $83-area, and yesterday was the first session since that the stock has found some support, down around $74. Our options idea here is to potentially utilize the rebound for some quick-strike gains. We’ll be monitoring the 08/08 $75 Calls, which closed at .82 yesterday.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PBR & GEIG Updates, Extended Watchlist

Petroleo Brasiliero S.A. (Petrobras) PBR – Options

To start off a new trading week, we’re going to follow up on Friday’s mention of PBR Calls, which ended up with a fantastic performance by all accounts. If you recall, in Friday Morning’s Report, we indicated that we were “interested in the potential of the $16.50 and $17.00 Weekly Calls” for intraday flip opportunities.

As you can see on the Level 2 Snapshot below, the $16.50 Calls traded in a range from .25-.63, an intraday move 152% The $17 Calls did considerably better, screaming up from a low of .04 and running as high as .23; good for enormous gains of up to 475%

To begin the week, we’ll remain interested in the $16.50 and $17 Weekly Calls, provided PBR can hold support at Friday’s swing low of 16.66

GEI Global Energy Corp. GEIG

In our most recent GEIG alert (Wednesday), we stated that we needed to “keep a sharp eye out for a bottom… as it gets itself in gear for the next leg-up.”

The stock was searching for a base of support from which to launch its next upswing, and found it at .007 shortly prior to the close on Thursday. Friday’s session would prove most advantageous, as the stock sailed back upward to as high as .02, marking a 185% spike off of that bottom.

That was the second golden opportunity presented to us by GEIG in as many weeks; remember, we called it the week before last as well, and were rewarded with a single-session move of over 700% with traders easily being able to play the stock for gains in the 400% range. The high on that run was .08, so its quite possible to see GEIG make further strides from current levels.

Side Note:

We’re still monitoring FB Calls as we pointed out at the beginning of last week. We’ll be looking to capitalize on the volatility that comes with rising anticipation of earnings, due for release on Wednesday. It won’t be the first time we’ve used this tactic, and it isn’t likely to be the last.

In the midst of earnings season, we’re focused on using the trends to our advantage in making some potentially big options trades, not just with FB, but many others as well.
