Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Review, Other Updates

Options Review

Just to refresh our readers’ memories, we highlighted a range of call contracts for three separate plays on Friday, and we’re pleased to report that sizable gains were there for the taking regardless of which idea was chosen. It marked the continuation of a flawless streak of such ideas that we offered up over the past few weeks.

Our tracked calls and the magnitude of the gains that were available were as follows:

SPDR S&P 500 (SPY) Weekly $199-202 Calls – We’ve successfully played the SPY so many times it doesn’t even bear counting, and Friday was no different. From the low end of our range to the high, gains of 80-427% were made.

Finisar Corp FNSR Weekly $15 and $16 Calls – An earnings beat made the gains in FNSR calls possible, with the $15’s running 88%, and the $16’s making a 92% upswing.

Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance, Inc. ULTA  Weekly $175-185 Calls –  Last but not least, we had the ULTA contracts on our watchlist bank gains running from 59-117%

Again, it was yet another great week for options, and we’ll be doing everything in our power to keep the streak alive with some more ideas this week so be sure to stay tuned!

Friday’s Stock Gainers

In addition to our great success with options plays from Friday’s morning report, we had a number of other intraday movers which were also highlighted.

Propanc Health Group Corp. PPCH

This was our top-billed mention on Friday, having been following it for most of last week. A string of solid performances led the stock on a great intraweek run to that point which spanned from our observed low of .0188 to .037 (+97%) in just a few sessions.

We saw even more gains tacked on there during Friday’s trading, wherein we witnessed another nice intraday pop from the daily low of .0355 to .0516 (+45%), and the high extended our total observed range to an impressive 174% in a matter of four sessions.

_____

Mexus Gold US (MXSG)

Mexus was another point of discussion in Friday’s newsletter, and it too saw appreciable gains on the day.

We’d already been very familiar with the stock after tracking over a more than 1000% move in early February. We then re-tagged it the Wednesday before last and subsequently witnessed a 61% swing from .011-.018.

Friday’s session brought a continuation of that run from .017 to a high of .0299, a 71% intraday rip, and increased the total swing range to 172%

_____

Spectrascience, Inc. SCIE

SCIE was included in Friday’s tracklist and the stock would end up trading in a range from .003 to .0047, for total possible intraday gains of up to 56% on slightly heavier than normal volume.

It also managed to close just a tick below the high of day, so we’ll keep an eye peeled for the possibility of momentum spillover into this new trading week.

GW Pharmaceuticals, Inc. GWPH

We want to pin GWPH to our tracklist after catching a significant PR coming across the wires this morning. Late-stage studies on a cannabidiol (CBD) treatment of a rare pediatric disease has yielded positive results, and the stock has thus far gapped up over 100% in the premarket.

We’ll take our classic stance of monitoring for a possible dip-and-rip situation and look to get positioned in some in-the-money Calls, dependent upon where the bounce occurs.

LONDON, March 14, 2016 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — GW Pharmaceuticals plc (GWPH) (GWP.L) (“GW,” “the Company” or “the Group”), a biopharmaceutical company focused on discovering, developing and commercializing novel therapeutics from its proprietary cannabinoid product platform, announces the positive results of the first pivotal Phase 3 study of its investigational medicine Epidiolex® (cannabidiol or CBD) for the treatment of Dravet syndrome. Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Idea, Rebound Play

Alphabet Inc. GOOG – Options Idea

We want to start things off today by focusing on the possibility of taking advantage of the heavy activity in GOOG on the heels of its post-market earnings release yesterday. As one would expect from an untraded-upon earnings beat, GOOG is spiking considerably in early trading. On a related note, the new figures seem to have allowed Google to surpass Apple for the title of largest U.S. company.

We’ll be on the lookout for a potential early dip, then scan for the choicest action within the range of GOOG Weekly $780-800 Calls. We could be in line to see some hefty intraday and/or intraweek swings out of those contracts if things play out as we suspect they might.

3D Systems Corp. DDD

Despite a general bearish sentiment toward the 3D-printing sector as a whole in the media of late, we are seeing a potential opportunity with regard to DDD. Despite the array of poor publicity hitting newswires, the stock has been bucking the trend with a steady stair-stepping approach up off of its annual lows for the past couple of weeks.

The chart has an attractive look as you can see below, so we’re going to want to monitor DDD in the days and weeks ahead as its chances for an extended recovery seem fair. The first signal we’ll be looking out for is a breach of prior resistance at the highlighted level of 8.50.

Adaptive Medias, Inc. ADTM

ADTM took off like a rocket yesterday on news of a buyout offer of roughly nine times the company’s market cap leading into the session. What resulted was a scramble for shares, and the upward pressure pushed the stock all the way from an early low in the .40-range up to the mid-.70 area.

Subject to shareholder approval, the all-cash transaction would offer $35M, or 1.50/share. From current levels, reaching that price point would mark a roughly 100% move the the upside. We’ll have our eyes peeled for further updates on the deal, as well as the immediate effect that the news will continue to have on the stock.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PBR Options Update & More

Petroleo Brasiliero S.A. (Petrobras) PBR – Options Update

We called for a potential dip-and-rip play on PBR Calls yesterday, after following the contracts to gains exceeding 200% on Monday-Tuesday’s spike to .64. We did see the dip back down to the .30-range, and the subsequent rip came too, as the $16 Weeklies we’ve tracked from a low of .20 hit the 300% mark at .80 yesterday.

If you recall Tuesday’s report, we said: “Should PBR approach the 16.35-level, we would then have to consider moving up our strike price.”  PBR did indeed test and break that price target (HOD 16.76) during yesterday’s session, and as a result the $16.50 Calls went on a romp from a low of .18 to .46, an impressive single session move of 155%

We hope our meticulous and spot-on forecasting of the PBR Options chain this week has at the very least, illustrated why we like to cover options just as well as stocks. As you can plainly see, the chances for quick gains are plentiful under the right conditions, as evidenced by the exponential profits offered to us by this play, time and time again.

Even as the talking heads saw fit to downgrade PBR earlier this year, we’ve stuck with it as it was coming off of ten-year lows back in March at 11.25, and brought continuous coverage as the stock has bulled its way up to more than $17. This will definitely go down as one of the brightest spots in 2014, a year that has thus far been extremely good to us.

Med-Cannabis Pharma, Inc. MCPI

We mentioned that MCPI might see some momentum carryover from Tuesday’s session in yesterday morning’s report, and that’s just what we saw. The stock would make an intraday move of 25% from .4375-.5475.

.Monday’s initial alert on MCPI gave folks a chance to grab MCPI as low as .355, from which yesterday’s high marked an increase of 54%

It’s also given us a chance to get our feet wet within the slowly-forming Washington State-based cannabis industry. We’ll have our eyes peeled for others that are sure to pop up as the state makes its transition away from prohibition.

Added Note:

World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. WWE

Just to throw in a new options trading idea as we approach the end of the week, we’re going to be monitoring the WWE 09/20 $15 Calls, which closed at .50 yesterday.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: DDD Update, ISR & Extended Watchlist

3D Systems Corp.  DDD

Our regular readers will recall our initial alert on DDD Options a week ago today– wherein we tagged the $52-53 Calls. In the sessions that followed, we were afforded the chance at some large gains.

The same ideas could have been put to work to kick off this week, so anyone who continued to track DDD along with us, is certainly sitting in a good position now.

For instance, the $52 Calls, which were trading at a low of 2.10, closed at 4.82, a 129% intraday move.

The $53 Calls fared even better, coming very close to yielding a double-bagger as they ran from a low of 1.37 up to 4.10, good for up to 199% in gains.

Some of the other stocks in the 3D Printing sector (Like VJET and SSYS) have also made big moves like DDD, while another play we’ve been monitoring in the space, ONVO, has yet to do so. For this reason, we want to put ONVO on watch as well, in the event that it follows suit with the other stocks in the industry.

IsoRay, Inc. ISR

ISR is one that we are going to add to our watchlist today, and it comes to us as a stock that we feel is in a good spot on its chart. We can see potential value here in the short, medium, or long term, and will begin tracking it from here on out.

As you can observe on the chart below, we’re looking at an ascending wedge on ISR, a pattern which can help to judge its trends. Whichever way it breaks out of the channel is generally where the trend will lead. A dip below support could mean heavy losses, while a breach of resistance could mean a serious breakout.

In premarket trading the stock is currently gapping up above that channel, so we have it on close watch to break out and possibly test its previous swing highs at 3.50 and above. A move past that area on the chart would mean a full-on Blue Sky Breakout, so we definitely want to pay attention.

BARCHART.COM is assigning ISR an 88% Overall “Buy” Rating

RICHLAND, WA–(Marketwired – Jun 24, 2014) – IsoRay, Inc. (NYSE MKT: ISR), a medical technology company and innovator in seed brachytherapy and medical radioisotope applications, today announced another milestone — the treatment of a brain tumor that had metastasized from esophageal cancer utilizing IsoRay’s liquid Cesium-131 (Cesitrex®) which recently was FDA cleared for internal radiation therapy. >>> FULL PR

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: AUMN, MEET & Options Calls

MeetMe, Inc. MEET
&
Golden Minerals Corp. AUMN

Both MEET and AUMN were winners off of yesterday’s extended watchlist, with each stock making nice intraday runs that traders could have used to their advantage.

AUMN’s move was the larger of the two, with the stock trading up from its early morning low of .72, and reaching as high as 1.00 before lunchtime. That made gains of up to 39% possible for anyone riding the wave.

We may want to keep AUMN on our radars for a longer period of time, as the PR which catalyzed yesterday’s move up contains some intriguing information. We’re going to be interested to follow along with that storyline. We suggest you read the full text of the announcement by clicking the link in the except below.

GOLDEN, Colo., Jun 18, 2014 (Canada NewsWire via COMTEX) — Golden Minerals Company (“Golden Minerals” or the “Company”) (NYSE MKT: AUMN) (TSX: AUM) today announced plans for a July 2014 restart of mining at its Velardena Properties located in Durango state, Mexico. Once mining and processing are ramped up to approximately 285 tonnes per day (tpd) of sulfide ore in mid-2015, the Company expects output of approximately 1.0 to 1.2 million silver equivalent ounces per annum (including silver and gold but excluding lead and zinc), with cash costs between $12 and $15 per silver ounce net of by-product credits. >> FULL PR

_____

MEET’s intraday run was a bit more modest coming in at 19% as the stock ran from 2.06-2.45, but the opportunity was still present. The spike came on high volume, and the stock held the majority of those gains into the close, so we may want to keep tracking this one as well.

Tracking Our Options Calls

We’ve had so much success with options this week, that the chances are too many to list! As of yesterday premarket, our total possible percentage gains had already pushed well into the thousands, and that figure only increased throughout the session. Each of the three primary chains we’ve been playing this week executed classic dip-and-rip scenarios, and virtually every set of Calls we’ve been watching made sizable moves.

Petroleo Brasiliero S.A. (Petrobras) PBR

3D Systems, Inc. DDD

GW Pharmaceuticals, Inc. GWPH

From the One Week charts below, you can see just how significant the swings have been in the Calls on each of these plays.

We want to continue monitoring these charts regardless of which way they appear to trend, as every pullback we’ve seen thus far has provided us with chance to play the dip-and-rip. With the Fed’s stance on tapering and not raising interest rates anytime soon, it could continue to feed what has been an absolutely historic bull market.
