Good Start to the Week, 4 New Targets

Solid Start to the Week:

We got off to a really good start on Monday with respect to the options ideas we formulated for our premarket report yesterday. After last week’s perfect run, we did what we had to do to at least put us in the mix to potentially do it again this week. Nice Start to the Week, 6-Pack of Fresh Ideas

Good Start to a Fresh Trading Week:

We had a solid start to the week yesterday, despite the daily earnings calendar being slightly lackluster. We floated three potential plays in our premarket report, and while we didn’t get any earth-shattering moves, every single one of them did record very respectable intraday increases. That sweep of the board kept what has been an incredible run of options success going for us to kick off the week.

Our fresh targets for the day were the BA Weekly $200-202.50 Calls, the MNDY Weekly $150-155 Calls, and the XOM Weekly $103-104 Calls. The solid performances each of them put up for the session were as follows:

BA Weekly $200-202.50 Calls
$200:
 4.75-7.95 (+67%)
$202.50: 3.50-6.00 (+71%)
_____

MNDY Weekly $150-155 Calls
$150: 5.70-10.00 (+75%)
$155: 3.48-6.50 (+87%)
_____

XOM Weekly $103-104 Calls
$103: 1.25-2.10 (+68%)
$104: .74-1.26 (+70%)

Monday’s Movers, Tuesday’s Fresh Plays

Solid Movers from Monday:

We fared pretty well yesterday with the daily options trading ideas we had included in our premarket report, with only one out of seven actual target contract sets failing to produce significant intraday movement. While the potential gains weren’t exactly earth shattering by our own standards, there was still one opportunity at double bag gains in each of the options chains we were tracking.

Those targets were the CIEN 03/17 $55 Calls, the AAPL Weekly $150-155 Calls, and the EMR Weekly $85-87 Calls, and here’s how their daily performances shook out for us, in what was a decent start to the week:

Options Review:

We fared reasonable well with our midweek report yesterday morning, after having formulated potential options plays in five chains. With the exception of some longer-term puts in NVO, which may just need some time to come around, those ideas yielded some solid trading chances on the day.

The weekly calls that went on to enjoy those moves, in part due to the massive late-day surge in the markets following the afternoon Fed meeting, were the EA Weekly $113-116 Calls, the TMO Weekly $575-580 Calls, the GSK Weekly $34.50-35 Calls, and the AI Weekly $20-20.50 Calls, and here were the sorts of gains that were there for the taking:

EA Weekly $113-116 Calls
$113:
 1.34-3.80 (+183%)
$114: .96-3.20 (+233%)

TMO Weekly $575-580 Calls
