Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Pot Stocks, ALDR Recap & More

Max Sound Corp. MAXD

After congratulating ourselves on observing a 112% rip from MAXD after tagging it in Thursday morning’s premarket report the stock wasn’t finished. Just as a refresher, our observed low that morning was .0033 and the high came in at .007.

We said we wanted to keep tracking the stock due to a strong close and the momentum did indeed carry over into the new trading week. After the slightest dip to .006 first thing in the morning yesterday, MAXD once again took off northward, reaching a new high at an even penny.

The activity was good for isolated intraday gains of up to 67%, and at that penny high, it represented a two-session upswing of 203% over our observed low from Thursday. As long as MAXD continues to register higher base levels of support as it has done thus far, it will retain our attention.

Alder Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. ALDR

ALDR was an inclusion from yesterday’s watchlist as well, and we saw some excellent intraday gains, especially considering its elevated price range. We watched as it traded up from a low of 21.75 and reached a subsequent high of 27.79.

That represents a single-session advance of 28% which is all the more impressive coming from a $20+ stock. The move came on roughly fifteen times the 3-month average volume, and was facilitated by news of positive migraine study results.

Also included in our report yesterday was a list of marijuana stocks we’ve tracked over a period of years, that we wanted to revisit to kick off the week, as investor interest in the cannabis space seems to be on the rise of late. In addition to HEMP, which made a small double-digit increase but had a relatively modest session by comparison, the following pair each made gains of a more substantial nature:

GreenGro Technologies Corp. GRNH – First up, GRNH made an impressive daily swing as it traded in a range from .03-.05, for potential profits of up to 53% being made possible on the day.

Terra Tech, Inc. TRTC – The other runner was TRTC, which made a move from .33-.41, a 24% increase. We’re going to continue to reserve a spot on our radars for this one as well, especially with a post-market earnings call slated for this afternoon. (Click through to PR for participation info)

*We also have a reminder for our readers of a couple other pot plays we’ve tracked in the past that we’re going to be monitoring more closely in the light of increased sector activity: PHOT, VAPE

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Friday’s Big Movers & More

LifeLogger Technologies Corp. LOGG

LOGG ended the week on an extremely high note, which was particularly impressive considering the fact that we had already witnessed a fantastic 91% pop from .0995-.19 subsequent to our mention of it in Thursday’s morning report.

The stock would follow up one great performance with another, running from an early low of .17 to a new high of .30 on Friday morning. It represented an intraday run of 76%, and a two-day overall rise amounting to 202% Our heartiest congratulations to any of our readers who were along for the ride on this one!

We’ll be sure to keep tracking LOGG for as long as its activity continues to provide these excellent intraday chances.

Encompass Compliance Corp. ENCC

ENCC turned out to be our top-gaining prospect of the day on Friday  when all was said and done. After slowly ramping up from its low of .012 over the course of the morning, the stock suddenly took off in the last hour, streaking to a high of .025.

The move amounted to an intraday increase of 108% and ENCC closed at its high point as well, so we’ll definitely want to assume our standard position for instances such as these, monitoring the stock for continued momentum, in addition to dip-and-rip patterns that could lead to further opportunities down the road.

PCS Edventures!.com, Inc. PCSV

On Friday, we classed PCSV as a stock to watch over the longer-term, and while that’s still the case, it also produced immediate results of an impressive nature.

We witnessed the stock trading in a range from .025-.045, which amounted to a respectable 80% intraday move.  As previously stated, we feel the company’s recent entry into the fledgling sport of competitive drone racing warrants extended observation of this stock. (>>View PR)

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: LOGG, PHOT Reviews & Much More

LifeLogger Technologies Corp. LOGG

We’ve been tracking LOGG since bringing it to light in a report last week and even though it made some decent gains leading up to yesterday, that’s when the stock really kicked things into high gear.

LOGG exploded from an early low of .0995 and continuously pushed to new highs throughout the course of the day, reaching its high of .19 just prior to the close, for an excellent chance at intraday gains of up to 91% The stock also traded better than six times its monthly average volume, so we’ll want to closely monitor its activity early on today for its dip-and-rip potential.

Growlife, Inc. PHOT

PHOT had been bouncing around in a rough channel between the .012 and two-cent levels since we last tagged the stock for observation earlier this month. Right from the outset yesterday the stock’s bullish activity raised the alarms, with the announcement that PHOT would be relisting on the Bulletin Board as well as pursuing an uplisting to the OTCQX. (>>View PR)

The result of the wave of positive attention the PR garnered was a massive intraday run to the tune of 375% (.012-.057) that will keep us on alert as we close out the week for the possibility of a brief consolidation followed up by a potential bounceplay.

Cell Therapeutics, Inc. CTIC

We’ve been tracking CTIC recently, and in addition to stringing together higher highs and higher lows in each of the past four sessions wherein it has roughly doubled in price, the stock appears to be gearing up to fill a rather sizable gap on its chart, which we’ve pointed out below.

Long-Term Watchlist

PCS Edventures!.com, Inc. PCSV

We like the future potential of the space PCSV has just entered into with its acquisition of a racing drone company. (PR Below) We’ll be placing PCSV on our longer-term radars as a result of this announcement.

While drone racing is a relatively new ‘sport’ that is still in its infancy, big plans for a national drone racing league have been backed financially by billionaire Steve Ross, who is most commonly known as the owner of the Miami Dolphins. (>>View Article)

Elio Motors, Inc. ELIO

We want to place a longer-term watch on newly-trading ELIO as well. Many of our readers will have heard of this exciting startup that is undergoing plans to market a three-wheeled (pictured below) that boasts more than 80mpg fuel efficiency and a retail price tag of less than $7,000.

With Americans looking to economize any way they can these days, the industry disruption potential of a low-cost, high-efficiency personal transport stripped of unnecessary bells and whistles is intriguing to say the least. The backstory behind this one is irresistible (Visit ElioMotors.com to learn more), so we’ll be very interested to follow along in the early days of the stock’s trading to see how ELIO establishes its footing.

Bonus Options Ideas

We’ll be looking for possible daytrading opportunities with Weekly VXX $26-27.50 Calls, and Weekly SPY $193-190 Puts based on the current atmosphere in the markets.

*Pertaining to both of the preceding ideas, remember to always consider the inherent elevated risk associated with trading weekly options contracts on a Friday!

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PHOT Recap, Options Review & More

Growlife, Inc. PHOT

Amid a troubled market when a lot of stocks are stagnating, or even worse, plummeting, we managed to catch onto a great idea in yesterday’s premarket report with PHOT. Granted that we hadn’t mentioned the stock since the end of October, the timing in bringing back to the table was impeccable.

As you can see on the intraday chart below, PHOT logged a morning low of a penny before ramping its way up a full 100% to a daily high of .02 by early afternoon. It traded in a tight channel for the remainder of the session and managed to maintain a vast majority of those gains into the close at .0195.

While its actions alone certainly qualify for putting PHOT on a continued momentum watch, we’d urge a strong note of caution due to the fact that it is currently garnering a grey listing and caveat emptor warning at OTC Markets.

Alphabet Inc. GOOG – Options Idea

Our options idea from yesterday’s report turned up some excellent quick-strike chances in the first half of the session. We tagged a wide swathe of contracts in the range of GOOG Weekly $780-800 Calls, and each of the eight included targets provided similar gain opportunities.

In the interest of time, we’ll just provide the intraday swings on the first and last contracts in the series. The $780 Calls ran from a low of 6.70 to a high of 15.45 (+131%) and the $800’s made a jump from 1.90-5.50 (+190%).

Again, similar profits could have been attained with any one of the contracts in our highlighted range. Cheers to anyone able to take advantage of those moves which were propelled by GOOG’s post-market earnings beat on Monday.

Added Note: Stay tuned for tomorrow’s report when we’ll be formulating some fresh ideas based off of one or more of the high profile earnings releases slated for post-market today (GPRO, GM, YUM, etc.)

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Idea, Rebound Play

Alphabet Inc. GOOG – Options Idea

We want to start things off today by focusing on the possibility of taking advantage of the heavy activity in GOOG on the heels of its post-market earnings release yesterday. As one would expect from an untraded-upon earnings beat, GOOG is spiking considerably in early trading. On a related note, the new figures seem to have allowed Google to surpass Apple for the title of largest U.S. company.

We’ll be on the lookout for a potential early dip, then scan for the choicest action within the range of GOOG Weekly $780-800 Calls. We could be in line to see some hefty intraday and/or intraweek swings out of those contracts if things play out as we suspect they might.

3D Systems Corp. DDD

Despite a general bearish sentiment toward the 3D-printing sector as a whole in the media of late, we are seeing a potential opportunity with regard to DDD. Despite the array of poor publicity hitting newswires, the stock has been bucking the trend with a steady stair-stepping approach up off of its annual lows for the past couple of weeks.

The chart has an attractive look as you can see below, so we’re going to want to monitor DDD in the days and weeks ahead as its chances for an extended recovery seem fair. The first signal we’ll be looking out for is a breach of prior resistance at the highlighted level of 8.50.

Adaptive Medias, Inc. ADTM

ADTM took off like a rocket yesterday on news of a buyout offer of roughly nine times the company’s market cap leading into the session. What resulted was a scramble for shares, and the upward pressure pushed the stock all the way from an early low in the .40-range up to the mid-.70 area.

Subject to shareholder approval, the all-cash transaction would offer $35M, or 1.50/share. From current levels, reaching that price point would mark a roughly 100% move the the upside. We’ll have our eyes peeled for further updates on the deal, as well as the immediate effect that the news will continue to have on the stock.
