Blue Horseshoe Stocks: MNKD Recap & More

MannKind Corp. MNKD

We’ve been tracking MNKD pretty closely since April (saw a low of .6662 in May), and more recently, mentioned it in both Monday’s and yesterday’s premarket reports.

The intraweek swing made by the stock has been rather impressive, as it ran from a low of 2.01 on Monday to a new high of 6.51 yesterday. That works out to an increase of 224% Even readers who only caught yesterday’s alert still had a shot at gains of up to 80% (3.62-6.51).

Now’s a good time to mention our daily traders chats for the first time in awhile. These Skype-based live chats are open to any of our readers (Send contact request to “stocksumo”), and often provide added ideas over and above what we include in our daily premarket newsletters.

We signaled the MNKD Weekly $3.50 Calls and as you can see on the included snapshots, those subsequently ran from .40-2.80 for an intraday burst of 600%

Today we’ll want to keep an eye on the $5.00 and $5.50 Calls* in case MNKD wants to test that 6+ range again. We may also look to the 10/20 $5.50 and $6.00 Calls for possible swing trades in coming sessions.

*Important: Never trade options with a weekly expiration on a Friday unless you’re an expert trader with disposable funds. It’s extremely risky.

Constellation Brands, Inc. STZ – Options Update

After a premarket earning beat and outlook hike. we alerted on a range of contracts in the STZ options chain yesterday morning. We were looking to the STZ 10/20 $210-220 Calls and all three produced notable moves on the day.

The $210’s ran from 2.05-4.96 (+142%), the $215’s from 1.10-2.37(+115%), and the $220’s from .55-1.01 (+84%). We’ll definitely want to continue to keep an eye on these calls, which don’t expire for another couple of weeks.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PHOT Recap, Options Review & More

Growlife, Inc. PHOT

Amid a troubled market when a lot of stocks are stagnating, or even worse, plummeting, we managed to catch onto a great idea in yesterday’s premarket report with PHOT. Granted that we hadn’t mentioned the stock since the end of October, the timing in bringing back to the table was impeccable.

As you can see on the intraday chart below, PHOT logged a morning low of a penny before ramping its way up a full 100% to a daily high of .02 by early afternoon. It traded in a tight channel for the remainder of the session and managed to maintain a vast majority of those gains into the close at .0195.

While its actions alone certainly qualify for putting PHOT on a continued momentum watch, we’d urge a strong note of caution due to the fact that it is currently garnering a grey listing and caveat emptor warning at OTC Markets.

Alphabet Inc. GOOG – Options Idea

Our options idea from yesterday’s report turned up some excellent quick-strike chances in the first half of the session. We tagged a wide swathe of contracts in the range of GOOG Weekly $780-800 Calls, and each of the eight included targets provided similar gain opportunities.

In the interest of time, we’ll just provide the intraday swings on the first and last contracts in the series. The $780 Calls ran from a low of 6.70 to a high of 15.45 (+131%) and the $800’s made a jump from 1.90-5.50 (+190%).

Again, similar profits could have been attained with any one of the contracts in our highlighted range. Cheers to anyone able to take advantage of those moves which were propelled by GOOG’s post-market earnings beat on Monday.

Added Note: Stay tuned for tomorrow’s report when we’ll be formulating some fresh ideas based off of one or more of the high profile earnings releases slated for post-market today (GPRO, GM, YUM, etc.)

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PZOO Recap & More

Pazoo, Inc. PZOO

Our timing in re-alerting our readers to PZOO’s prime positioning in yesterday’s premarket report was absolutely spot-on. The stock had finally found and bounced off of a solid level of support in the prior session, and yesterday’s trading range provided a great chance for traders to make a solid buck.

From an early low of a penny, the needle was pointing up all day as PZOO ran into the end of the session, hitting .0136 for an intraday gain of 36% The stock closed just two ticks below its high of day (.0134) and logged a trading volume of nearly double the 3-month average.

Anytime we see a momentous daily performance like that, we’re always on the lookout for residual gains in following sessions.

We also want to remind our readers that today is the start of the a 4th Annual Marijuana Business Conference and Expo in Chicago, at which PZOO has secured a booth. It’s currently the country’s largest cannabis trade show, and runs from today through Thursday, with most of the activities kicking off tomorrow..

*We know that we have quite a few subscribers in the Greater Chicagoland Area, so we’d suggest going over to the conference at the Chicago Hilton to visit with Pazoo’s reps. The first 200 people to stop at the booth will receive a free custom t-shirt. >> Official PR

Plug Power, Inc. PLUG

We re-tagged PLUG, an old favorite, in our morning report from a week ago today. At the time, we saw a marginal gain from 2.48-2.73, and after spending another few sessions under an overall consolidation, PLUG found support yesterday at 2.53 where it began to rebound. In the premarket today the stock has traded as high 2.80.

We’re going to extend an options idea for PLUG that is significantly long-term; the September 18th $3.00 Calls (Last Traded: .19) could be in line to provide us with a solid opportunity/opportunities in the weeks and months ahead.

OraSure Technologies, Inc. OSUR

We also wanted to remind our readers of another timely alert we entered into the mix in yesterday’s report. OSUR traded in a range from 6.40 to 7.59, a respectable 19% increase.

Today the stock has surpassed that high in the premarket, running as high as 8.00, which extends the total overnight gain we’ve seen so far to 25% We’re going be watching for OSUR to possibly continue this run on the heel of some joint press with Walgreens this morning.
