Solid Moves on Thursday:

Things proceeded fairly well following our premarket report yesterday morning, wherein we flagged four possible options targets for ourselves and our readers. As it turned out, three of them made solid daytrading candidates, with the fourth registering nominal activity. The odds worked out quite in our favor and got us back on a good track.

The three runners were the FDX Weekly $260-265 Calls, the KBH Weekly $47.50-46 Puts, and the SPY 09/22 $432-433 Calls and here’s what they did for us:

Wednesday Review:

It was a rough outing yesterday due largely in part to a horrendous response to the Fed meeting. Things remained mostly level until 2PM, and thereafter went into absolute freefall. As a result, just one of the two ideas we formulated for yesterday’s premarket report bore immediate results. Not an ideal set of circumstances or outcome, but we press forward as always!

As for our target that did prevail, we were looking at the GIS 10/20 $65-67.50 Calls, and here are the modest yet respectable intraday moves we saw out of those:

We also had a decent little mover jump off of yesterday’s extended watchlist, as BJDX underwent a gap-and-go scenario. The stock ran from a daily low of 4.20 and shares ended up changing hands for as much as 5.38. That works out to an intraday run of 28%

In an extremely rare occurrence, neither of the targets we were looking at in yesterday’s report turned in worthwhile performances on the day. We really can’t recall the last time that happened, if ever, but as we always say, nobody can win them all. Instead of reviewing those, we have updates on a handful of longer term plays that we’ve recently flagged.

We initially selected the PDCO 07/21 $31-33 Calls in our report on June 21st, the KBH 07/21 $50 Puts in the following day’s report, and the PAYX 07/21 $110-115 Calls on the morning of June 29th. Here are the figures on the upswings and new highs we’ve seen from these plays this week.

Strong Finish to a Solid Short Week:

Our fresh options ideas for yesterday’s premarket report numbered five, and for the second day in a row, only one of our highlighted suggestions failed to produce notable intraday activity. The rest exhibited the typical behavior we’ve come to expect from the vast majority of options ideas we put forth. The Overstock calls were by far the most impressive, registering a couple of runs that blew well past the thousand percent gainer mark.

The daily movers proved to be the DRI 07/21 $165-155 Puts, the ACN Weekly $302.50-297.50 Puts, the KBH 07/21 $50 Puts, and the OSTK Weekly $22.50-23.50 Calls, and here’s the kind of intraday movement we saw in those targets on the session.

We kept things moving along swimmingly on Wednesday with regard to the options ideas in our premarket report for the day. We put in a pretty good mix of short-term and longer-term ideas, as well as bears and bulls. Three out of our four interests produced instant results, and the fourth (IHF) we’ll put on the back burner, as we feel it will still produce the activity we’re looking for in the days and weeks ahead.
