Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Wrapping Up the Short Week

This holiday-shortened week has brought another string of stellar opportunities for us with both stocks and options, and was an excellent way to close out the first quarter of 2015!

Pazoo, Inc. PZOO

Firstly, our re-alert of PZOO yesterday came just in the nick of time for us to observe a nice upswing. The stock traded up from a low of .0052 to reach .0071, an intraday move of 37% and it did so on more than twice its 30-day average volume.

With the deliberate steps Pazoo has been taking to become actively involved in the cannabis sector, it’s certain to hold our interest for quite awhile. There was a new PR to that effect released after market open yesterday; PZOO’s wholly-owned sub, marijuana testing agency Harris Lee, will be taking full ownership of a “fully functional, revenue generating facility no later than April 30, 2015”. Totally Hemp Crazy, Inc. THCZ

Speaking of pot-related plays- Last Friday, we suggested our readers put THCZ on their radars as we were watching the stock search for support. It found it that day at .128, and managed to set higher highs every day since.

Yesterday came an enormous push to an astonishing high of .32; that registered as an overall increase of 150% from THCZ in just five sessions! Even more amazing, is the fact that we observed THCZ trading subpenny as recently as the end of January.

Northstar Global Business Services, Inc. MDIN

MDIN appeared on yesterday’s extended watchlist, and it too enjoyed a nice intraday move of 66%. The stock held the majority of those gains into the close, so we’ll be interested to see how it closes out this short week today.

Pervasip Corp. PVSP

On Monday, we called out PVSP in a well-timed alert that yielded the chance at intraday gains of up to 55% It took until yesterday afternoon for the stock to consolidate and make its way down to find a support level from which to bounce.

That came at .0013, and PVSP did make a nice rebound to the tune of 38% (.0018) This is yet another one which is tied to the cannabis space, so we can definitely see a theme being established here as springtime comes into full-swing.

Petroleo Brasiliero, S.A. (Petrobras) PBR – Options

We signaled May PBR $6 and $6.50 calls last Thursday as we noticed it rebounding off of its newly-established all-time lows. Although there wasn’t much open interest in the May $6 Calls that we highlighted, they were pushed into the money and there was an opportunity to profit for those that decided to take the trade. The low on those contracts was .32 following our alert, and they closed yesterday at .55x.79. With plenty of time left until expiration, we may not yet be finished with them.

There was volume in the May $6.50’s, which traded as low as .22 following our initial mention and yesterday closed at .47; a gain of 114%.

Esperion Therapeutics, Inc. ESPR – Options

It was on Tuesday March 17th that we called ESPR options and came away with percentage gains that ran into the thousands over the course of that week. The idea that we ventured was the 04/17 $90 Calls, and we saw a subsequent run from 3.50 to 28.50.

Following that huge run, we saw those contracts dip back to find support at 4.50 toward the end of last week. Yesterday, a news release helped push ESPR stock to new highs, and as a result the April $90’s went on another big run, up to their closing price of 16.35. That’s a 263% swing in less than a week!

ESPR traded up just shy of $110 in the premarket this morning. We will also want to keep a close eye on the 04/17 $100-110 Calls should the stock continue its upward trend through to next week.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Big News for KRFT & More

Kraft (KRFT) to Merge With Heinz
In a move that will effectively create the third-biggest food company on the North American continent, it has been announced that Kraft Foods Group Inc. (KRFT) and H.J. Heinz Co. will merge. 3G Capital and Berkshire Hathaway, which bought Heinz for $23B and took it private back in 2013, will be orchestrating the deal.

As a result of this development, KRFT is gapping up monstrously in the premarket to the tune of more than 30% Generally when we see a stock soar on news like this, our first instinct is to continually scan for a dip-and-rip scenario once the session commences. When the rip does occur, we’re going to be looking to April $75-85 Calls for intraday options trading possibilities.

Social Media Sector on Watch

Despite uncertainly over whether interest rates will be raised this year causing a general downturn in the markets, social media stocks appeared to be an exception yesterday.

We’re always looking for trends to exploit for options trading, and should Facebook, Inc. FB, Twitter, Inc. TWTR, and LinkedIn Corp. LNKD continue their hot hand this week, we could see some nice action in the following contracts:

FB Weekly $84-86 Calls
TWTR Weekly $50-52 Calls
LNKD Weekly $260-265 Calls

Vascular Biogenics, Inc. VBLT

VBLT is another gapper this morning that has surged in the premarket following the company Q4 earnings release. The stock briefly spiked to its 50DMA of 8.65 in early trading, and appears as if it will open in the 6.50’s.

We will look to see VBLT re-break the $7-mark once the session kicks off, as there is a large gap on the chart as we point out below, the filling of which would make for some highly notable gains. It’s definitely a stock we want to keep on our radar as we cruise through mid-week.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Earnings Beats & Bottom-Plays

Bottom-Bouncer Watchlist

Each of the following stocks qualifies as a bottom-bouncer, a couple of which are just coming off freshly-set annual lows. They’ll be reserved a place on our radar as the week comes to a close:

Organovo Holdings, Inc. ONVO – In recent weeks this stock has been under consolidation, and yesterday it found a new 52-week low of 3.99 before rebounding into the close in the low 4.40’s. This morning ONVO is gapping up into the 4.60’s. We’ll have our eyes on this stock, likely over the next few sessions as it attempts to recover off of its annual low.

Neuralstem, Inc. CUR – Following some ill-received news on its ALS drug currently under study yesterday, CUR absolutely fell off a cliff. It’s gapping up in the premarket, so we’re anxious to follow it today. Stocks that get blasted on knee-jerk reaction to news can often see a rapid recovery, so our interest is high in this case.

Endeavor Silver Corp. EXK – This stock is also coming off of a new 52-week low that it recorded on Wednesday. It managed to make higher highs and higher lows during yesterday’s session, and we’ll look for it to continue that trend moving forward.

Earnings Beat Watchlist – Options Ideas

The next pair of companies each had an earnings beat, and are both gapping up over 10% in premarket action this morning. What we’ll do is monitor for dip-and-rip scenarios, and take advantage of In-the-money Calls on the rebound:

El Pollo Loco Holdings, Inc.  LOCO – For this one, we want to radar Weekly $25-26.50 Calls for possible day-trading opportunities.

Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance, Inc. ULTA – Here we’ll be observing the action in Weekly $154-155.50 Calls

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: FXCM Update & More

FXCM, Inc.  FXCM

We zeroed in on FXCM last Thursday morning and witnessed a big 41% run from 2.49-3.51. Following a pullback off of that high, the stock came down to rebound off of the 2.64-level on Friday, where we witnessed another 17% spike.

To start off the week FXCM continued to bounce yesterday, pulling back to 2.28, just below our initial alert price, and running back to 2.69, for an added gain of 18%

We’ll be on the lookout for any further opportunities provided by FXCM in the event that it continues to register ample swing-action such as what we’ve seen over the past few sessions.

Lentuo International, Inc.  LAS

LAS is hitting our scanner this morning as a potential bottom-bouncer. The stock has come down to rebound off of the

Last week, it was announced that the CEO and Chairman would be purchasing upwards of $1M worth of LAS stock on the open market inside of the next month, a good indicator of the executives’ long term outlook for the company.

We could be discovering this play at an opportune moment, coupling the recent PR with the stock’s current positioning on chart; we will make it a definite point of focus for us in coming sessions.

BEIJING, Jan. 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Lentuo International Inc. (LAS) (“Lentuo” or “the Company”), a leading non-state-owned automobile retailer headquartered in Beijing, today announced that members of its senior management team…will use their personal funds to purchase the Company’s American Depositary Shares on the open market for an aggregate amount up to a maximum of US$1.0 million >>FULL PR

AK Steel Holding Corp. AKS

We want to tag AKS this morning as another stock that is coming up off of a recently realized 52-week low. We’ve had plenty of good fortune come to us by way of this type of play in recent weeks, so we’ll want to devote a good bit of our attention to this stock as we head into mid-week.

The stock has traded as high as $10 as recently as September, and with a number of ripening indicators on the chart as shown below, AKS could be in store for some significant gains.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: SITO, NFLX Options Recap & More

SITO Mobile Ltd.  SITO

SITO has most assuredly been one of this week’s top prospects. After noticing it coming up off its annual low toward the end of last week, we introduced this stock on Wednesday morning and briefly observed a low of.1489 followed by a day of strong upward momentum.

Yesterday’s report contained a reminder to that effect, noting that the stock had closed with strength on significantly heightened volume, leading us to believe that “opportunities may yet remain”. It turned out to be another great call as the stock attained a new high yesterday as it ran into the close and attained a PPS of .279

That means, in a span of just two days we witnessed an overall increase of 87% in SITO.

Netflix, Inc. NFLX – Options Ideas

The NFLX $395 and $410 Options Call ideas that we floated earlier this week continued to fare extremely well yesterday. NFLX surged to $429 in daily trading and as a result those contracts went absolutely haywire.

The $395 Calls ran from a low of 12.18 up as high as 34.35, for an impressive intraday jump equaling 182%

The $410’s put up an even better performance. Those contracts registered a daily range from 2.44 to 19.50; an incredible 699% run in a single session!

No matter how you look at it, the NFLX options chain has furnished us with some amazing chances this week, and we hope some of our readers were able to get in on the fun!

FXCM, Inc. FXCM

FXCM appeared on yesterday’s extended watchlist, and it too turned in a great performance on the day. The stock traded in a range from 2.49-3.51, marking a move of 41% on volume which exceeded the monthly average by more than 10X.

This was another one we caught coming up off of a recently established 52-week low, which provides another perfect example of why we’re constantly scouring the market for these types of bottom-plays.
