Blue Horseshoe Stocks: SBUX Success & More

Starbucks Corp. SBUX – Recap

We formulated some options ideas for Friday morning’s premarket report, and among them were the SBUX Weekly $66-67.50 Calls. Continuing a trend that we carried throughout the week, we once again struck upon multi-bag gains off of an earnings related play. This type of trade has become one of our go-to moves for this very good reason. We urge any skeptics to rifle through our blog and check our record on this. We believe our success rate is unparalleled.

$66 Calls – Range:.65-1.65 – Max Gain: 154%
$66.50 Calls – Range: .40-1.35 – Max Gain: 238%
$67 Calls – Range: .22-.80 – Max Gain: 264%
$67.50 Calls – Range: .10-.49 – Max Gain: 390%

We also had the WDC Weekly $43.50-45 Calls in Friday’s report, and despite the fact that only the $43.50’s ended up being in play, the potential gains they afforded traders were exceptional. They traded up from a low of .03 all the way up to .26- a move of 767% on the day.

Caterpillar, Inc. CAT

We’ll once again look to a premarket earnings release to provide us with the impetus for a fresh idea this morning. Caterpillar missed on profits and issued unimpressive guidance, as the company reported disappointingly low demand, specifically in the Chinese market.

We are going to take a bearish view on this for the near-term, and put the CAT Weekly $132-128 Puts on watch to kick off the fresh trading week.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: JNUG, RAMO & More

Direxion Daily Jr Gld Mnrs Bull 3X ETF (JNUG)

We’ve been tracking JNUG in the wake of last week’s annual low on the price of gold, and as the price of the precious metal has rebounded it has provided us with a few swing-trade opportunities.

Initially we saw JNUG run from 3.59-4.44 (+24%), and after pulling back slightly to 3.65 yesterday morning, the ETF ran back to 4.40, an intraday increase of 20% on several times the average trading volume.

We expect to witness similar patterns of activity in JNUG as long as the price of gold continues to rebound. We’re looking for it to hold support at or above $1161 (Trading in $1166-range this morning)

Ramoil Management Ltd. RAMO

We want to tag RAMO this morning and add it to our list of cannabis-related stocks; according to a PR we just caught coming over the wires, the company is set to begin clinical testing with both CBD and THC (chemical compounds found in marijuana).

It is conveniently timed with the “major hurdle” that was just cleared with regard to government approval of using cannabis for the treatment of soldiers diagnosed with PTSD. The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services has given its stamp of approval, with the measure only needing DEA clearance before becoming policy. >> Read Article in US Today

LAS VEGAS, Nov. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — RAMOIL MANAGEMENT, Ltd (RAMO) wants to honor and support our veterans by announcing that RAMO Bio-Med, Inc., its wholly owned subsidiary, is beginning with controlled clinical testing of “RAMO CBD” and “RAMO THC” formulas for the treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, commonly known as PTSD. >> Full PR

Dendreon Corp. DNDN

We’ve been watching DNDN for a bounce opportunity this week, as the stock has been way oversold of late. This morning it appears as if the stock is trying to gap up slightly, so we just want to throw in a reminder that this stock could turn into a hefty bounceplay at any time.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: MCPI, PBR & More

Med-Cannabis Pharma, Inc. MCPI

Exactly one week after we first brought it to our reports, MCPI continued to impress during yesterday’s session. The stock made an intraday move of 35% from .65-.88, and did so on nearly three times the 3-month average volume.

Calculating from our initially-observed low, the 88-cent high represented a one week overall increase of 148%, so congrats to any readers who were able to take a piece of the action.

This is going to be a play we’ll continue to track; per the timetable released in the Aug 4th PR regarding the opening of three retail marijuana stores in Washington, we should be receiving another update sometime in the next couple of weeks.

Petroleo Brasiliero S.A. (Petrobras) PBR

It’s beginning to seem as if we can peer through a crystal ball into PBR’s future with the way it seems to obey our predictions of late. Our subscribers will recall yesterday’s report  wherein we mentioned our intent to monitor the $16 Weekly Calls for the second consecutive week, and that we’d be “on the lookout for a substantial move” provided the stock could once again surpass the $16-level.

As it has so many times in recent weeks, PBR behaved exactly as we’d hoped it would, smashing through $16, and eventually reaching as high as 16.48. As a result, our contracts made a solid move from .35-.62, an intraday spike equaling 77%

Following the same strategy from last week’s successful play on the $16 Weeklies, when the stock continued to run past the 16.30’s, those who had moved their strike price and rolled into the $16.50 Calls could also have collected a nice profit, with those contracts trading in a range from .12-.32 (+166%).

Elray Resources, Inc. ELRA

ELRA appeared in yesterday’s extended watchlist after we caught it off of a routine scan toward the end of last week. The stock offered up a nice dip-and-rip scenario yesterday. After trading as low as .0072, we saw a subsequent high of .0134, for total possible intraday gains of up to 86%
