Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PBR, NQ & Extended Watchlist

Petroleo Brasiliero (Petrobras) PBR

PBR, which did so well for us earlier this year, is a point of focus for us once again. Since the huge gains the stock afforded us from March-May, it has consolidated a bit, and bounced off the 200DMA (Currently 13.69). We are turning our attention to PBR once again, because we want to be ready when the next upswing comes into effect.

We’d like to see support hold off of the 200DMA, and for the stock to make higher highs and higher lows to confirm the trend. When that occurs, we’ll be turning to the options chain as we did this spring,  and presently, we have our eyes on the 07/19 $15 Calls, which as of yesterday were trading in the .30-.38 range.

In the event that the stock tests its recent swing high of 15.85 by the expiration date, it could spell a double or triple for those contracts, so we’ll really want to keep a close watch.

NQ Mobile, Inc. NQ

We’ve been tracking NQ this week; including the play in Monday’s Extended Watchlist, and this morning, we are seeing some serious pre-market activity on the stock. It is coming off of a recent bottom, and has already begun to fill one of the gaps on the chart this morning (Up to a high 10.45).

This morning’s announcement  is regarding the independent findings of the investigative committee assigned to look into fraud allegations levied against the company in the fall. NQ looks as if it will be cleared of any wrongdoing, and that appears to be contributing to this morning’s spike.

We could be looking into this one at just the right time; in addition to this morning’s good news, the company is also due to release its annual financials, and some positive figures could add even more fuel to the fire. Conditions appear to be reaching an ideal level for us to potentially register some sizable gains with this play.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: AAPL & ORFG Updates, Extended Watchlist

AAPL Options

At the risk of starting to sound like a broken record, anyone who was into the AAPL Calls that we were monitoring last week would have had a smile on their faces on Friday.

AAPL pushed its way up to highs over $644, which sent all the contracts that we were looking at into a frenzy; there were so many big gains, we won’t bore you with all of the individual figures, let’s just say that saavy traders could have managed to come away with gains on the order of several hundred percent.

Adding that performance to all of the progress in prior sessions, and AAPL easily qualifies as our biggest potential money-maker over the past few weeks.

Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference begins today, and remember, there’s also a forward split coming, so there’s every chance that we have yet to see what AAPL, and more specifically, AAPL options, can really do for us.

Timeline of the Upcoming Split:

The Record Date – June 2, 2014 – determines which shareholders are entitled to receive additional shares due to the split.

The Split Date – June 6, 2014 – shareholders are due split shares after the close of business on this date.

The Ex Date – June 9, 2014 – the date determined by NASDAQ when Apple common shares will trade at the new split-adjusted price.

Orofino Gold Corp. ORFG

Our other interest from Friday also made some progress; ORFG registered higher lows and higher highs for the third consecutive day. We picked up on this play Thursday, and would observe a low of .0175 at that time. On Friday the stock pushed as high .0255, which marked a nice 46% move over the span of just two sessions.

The chart is still looking pretty ripe, as we’ve pointed out below. If ORFG can break through the channel of resistance in the .026 to .03, we could be looking at even bigger gains, so we’ll be staying tuned.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: ACGX, NEWL & Extended Watchlist

Alliance Creative Group, Inc. ACGX

The last time we looked in on ACGX was on May 15th, and the stock had just run into some resistance in the .006 area for the second time in as many weeks. Since then, we’ve been monitoring for a break of that key level on the chart, and it finally occurred yesterday during quite a fruitful session.

ACGX made a respectable intraday move from .0046 to .0064 on greater-than-average volume, giving traders the chance at rapid profits of up to 39%

The stock closed out the day having held the majority of its gains (.0058) so, as we go forward, we’d like to see it once again overtake the .006-level and hold support at or above that mark.

We haven’t had any updates from the company since it reported record revenues early this month, so we’re going to be watching the press wires closely. Alliance seems to make a habit of keeping its shareholders apprised of current events with regularity, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see an update come down the pipe in the relatively near future.

Recent Press:

Alliance Creative Group (ACGX) Reports Record Revenue of $3,299,009 for Q1 of 2014, a 34% Increase From Q1 of 2013 and Net Income of $326,796 for an Increase of 237% Compared to Q1 of 2013 (Mon, May 5)

Alliance Creative Group, Inc. (ACGX) Announces That It Will Be the Official Printing and Packaging Sponsor Along With Being a Presenter for the 1st Annual Cannabis Investor Conference in Denver, Colorado (Wed, Apr 30)

NewLead Holdings Ltd. NEWL

We’re glad that we re-mentioned NEWL in yesterday’s report despite the fact that it was already in the midst of a major run, because the stock kept on pushing its upper limits, running from a daily low of 2.40 all the way up to 3.81 marking an intraday move of 59%

This morning it appears as if NEWL wants to continue pushing the envelope, as it has reached as high as 4.20 in pre-market trading. That represents an overall move of 986% from the low of .3867 we observed just four sessions ago.

Granted the fact that we originally placed it on bottom-watch on May 9th, NEWL is definitely making its case for becoming one of our best bottom-plays of the year.

This morning’s pre-market high of 4.20 will be the area of resistance we’d like to see broken during today’s session.

PROW, NQ, PLUG, Cannabis Stocks & Extended Watchlist

Cannabis Sector Stays Hot
It was really hard not to make a profit off of the marijuana stocks featured in Tuesday’s final report of 2013. Nearly every single one closed in the green on significant-to-heavy volume, with some of the more notable gains coming from CBIS (+28%), HEMP (+29%), and FITX (+38%). This surge of investor interest in the sector as a whole comes in step with the first stores selling legal pot for recreational use yesterday in Colorado.

It will be important to keep an eye on the developments out of Colorado and Washington, where legalization has already been voted into law, as they will be acting as a litmus test for the rest of the nation. We know that many state legislatures have already begin to entertain the idea of following in the footsteps of the “green revolution” currently taking place out West. We’ll be certain to stay hot on the trail of this story as it unfolds, because this is an industry that is positioned for a boom; and in truth we have been way ahead of the pack in anticipation of this occurrence. Passing into 2014, our coverage of the sector has spanned three calendar years.

Plug Power, Inc. PLUG

We’re closing in a full year of coverage on PLUG, with our first ever mention coming last February, and it turned out to be one of our more successful plays from 2013. Our scanners picked up on this stock as it was coming off of its 52-wk low at .1155. Over the course of the spring and into summer, PLUG continued to push ever upward, running past .50 in September and reaching highs in the .70’s in September.

If it had stopped there, we still would have called that quadruple-bagger one of the year’s best alerts, but indeed, the stock has been pressing its way to new, impressive highs. The peak of which was reached in early December when we witnessed trades at 2.2399. For anyone without a calculator on hand, that’s an unbelievable move of 1839%

NQ Mobile, Inc. NQ

NQ first appeared in our reports back on October 29th, and on that day, we saw a low of 8.42. The stock had recently taken a huge spill from the $24-range and we were keen to take advantage of the rebound. It has taken less than three months for that plan to come to fruition, and we are extremely pleased with the results so far. As of the high reached on Tuesday, 16.21, NQ has made an overall move for us on the order of 93%

Progress Watch Corp. PROW

On Tuesday we mentioned that while we had already followed PROW from lows at .0065 to its then-current price of .013, that we were looking for a break of the .013 -mark to put PROW in Blue Sky Breakout mode. We did indeed witness that break once the session ensued, and PROW spiked as high as .0194, giving us the chance at close to 200% in gains so far.

It made a strong close as well, holding roughly 90% of its gains, and ending the session at .019 on more than twice the 3mo. average volume, so continuing activity on PROW could get rather interesting.

GOGO, NQ, GERN & Extended Watchlist

Gogo, Inc. GOGO

We’ve been pounding the table on GOGO for the past couple of months, and the stock had a great session following yesterday’s mention on the strength of their earnings release. From our initial alert price at 14.79, yesterday’s high of 24.85 represents a gain of 68% on roughly 6 times the 3mo average volume.

NQ Mobile, Inc. NQ

NQ also had a fruitful session to kick off the week yesterday, trading from a low of 11.55 up to 13.55, a 17% intraday gain.

The low following our first alert on NQ was 8.42; yesterday’s high represents an increase of 61%

Geron, Corp. GERN

GERN behaved as expected yesterday; if you recall, we were looking for the stock to reverse its downtrend, and it did find a bottom at 4.69. The resulting bounce pushed the price up 10% to 5.18, and the stock closed at 5.05.

Moving forward were looking for GERN to achieve higher lows, holding support above yesterday’s low of 4.69.
