Blue Horseshoe Stocks: VNR Recap & More

Vanguard Natural Resources, LLC. VNR

We began watching VNR as it hit its annual lows back in the fall, initially tagging it in our report from October 6th. We’ve seen some pretty impressive swings since then, and have routinely included the stock in several of our reports.

Most recently was the first trading day of 2017, and we’ve since witnessed another bullish push out of VNR as it has traded in a range from .70-1.11 (+58%) over the past couple of weeks. From our overall observed low of .46 in VNR just after our first alert in October, this week’s new high represents a 141% increase.

Next we’ll be looking for the stock to make a run at a key resistance point sitting at the 200DMA of 1.17

Alkame Holdings, Inc. ALKM

We’ve been tracking ALKM since Wednesday’s premarket report, and over these couple of sessions, we have seen a decent trading range on the stock.

From Wednesday’s early low of .0014, ALKM has touched a high of .002, which works out to a swing of 43% to the upside. We’ll leave the stock on our radar, and be on the lookout for the recording of higher highs and higher lows.

Avinger, Inc. AVGR – Reminder

We noticed AVGR getting ready for a heavy gap-up after bouncing off of its bottom yesterday. Although it only rose a modest 17% upon the open from 2.90-3.40, we’re going to still want to track its movements heading into next week, as it may yet continue to pile up more gains.

Several indicators on the chart are still looking ripe for that possibility despite all the lost ground it recovered  with yesterday’s gap-up.

Microsoft Corp. MSFT -  Options Idea

We wanted to signal a range of options ideas we feel have potential after Microsoft beat the Street’s estimates in yesterday’s post-market earnings report.

We’re going to be tracking the MSFT Weekly $64.50-66 Calls, starting at the lower strike price, and rolling up if the stock looks like it’s going to continue to break out and push the strike price into the money. The premarket high on MSFT is 65.68, so in order to consider rolling up to $66′s, we would want to see a break past that mark.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Kicking Off the New Year

Good Morning Traders, and Happy New Year! We hope everyone had a pleasant holiday season, but now that the new year has begun, we also hope everyone’s ready to dive right back in and take 2017 by the horns! We’re looking forward to another year of market action and tracking hot plays whether they be pennies, big boards, options, or whatever! Wherever we see even the slightest chance for a big opportunity we’ll be there, so join us- the 2017 trading year starts now!

Continued Cannabis Sector Surges

We’ve been all over the cannabis space for years, but the scope and intensity of our observation has been decidedly more focused in past weeks and months.  On Sunday, legalized recreational marijuana took effect in California and elsewhere, so you can all expect that the pot sector will be an area of continued interest as the industry as a whole is set to undergo huge growth and change in coming months.

We had a few reminders appear in Friday’s premarket report from among the vast group of pot plays we’ve tracked over an extremely long period at this point. PHOT and VAPE, two old favorites, both followed that up with solid intraday performances to close out 2016.

PHOT posted a nice intraday move from .0167-.0198 (+19%), while VAPE ran from .0122-.0167 (+37%).  We’ll continue to track these and other cannabis stocks, including but not limited to: MCOA, HEMP, MCIG, GRNH, TRTC, MYDX, MYHI, CHIT

More Updates:

Oceanic Research & Recovery Inc. ORRV - We began mentioning ORRV on Wednesday, and subsequently would witness a low of .0005. Friday the stock posted a huge finish to the year, running up to a new high of .00271. That marked a three-session swing of 442%  We’re going to be keeping an eye peeled for the possibility of continued momentum.

ERF Wireless, Inc. ERFB – Our first tag of ERFB came three Friday’s ago, at which time we would observe a low of .0013. It too broke out to new high on Friday, reaching .02. From our initial low that works out to an overall increase of 54% More gains could be on the horizon in this case as well, so we’ll be watching.

 Vanguard Natural Resources, Inc. VNR

We also want to put VNR on our radars as we kick things off on this short week. We’ve included a snapshot below and as you can see, a triple-bottom formation is currently in effect. We are going to be watching for a reversal, which, if the last couple of cycles are any indicator, could lead to a pretty significant PPS increase.

ProShares Short VIX Short-Term Futures SVXY

With the markets as a whole appearing to want to open up 2017 on a high note, we’re going to signal a range of bullish options calls for the SVXY ETF. We’ll be monitoring the SVXY Weekly $93.50-95.50 Calls.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Weekly Winners Review

Weekly Winners Review

Yesterday was a great day for so many of the ideas we’ve been discussing this week, leaving our normal routine seemingly unaffected by the holidays.  That being said, we’d like to wish all of our readers a prosperous holiday season! 2016 was yet another great year, and we’re already very excited about making 2017 even better!

Micron Technologies, Inc. MU – First up, we’ve got an update on the options idea that we included in yesterday’s premarket report. We signaled the MU Weekly $22-23.50 Calls on the heels of the company’s solid earnings call on Wednesday. All four of the sets of contracts in that range provided big-time gain opportunities:

$22 Calls – Range: .88-1.47 – Max Gain: 67%
$22.50 Calls – Range: .47-1.00 – Max Gain: 113%
$23 Calls – Range: .24-.58 – Max Gain: 142%
$23.50 Calls – Range: .10-.29 – Max Gain: 190%

ERF Wireless, Inc. ERFB – After first alerting ERFB a week ago today, we’ve tracked the stock throughout this week, and witnessed a great run from a low of .0013, to yesterday’s high of  .0085. That worked out to an excellent intraweek swing of 554%

Globalstar, Inc. GSAT – Speaking of momentum plays, that’s just what GSAT was when we caught it on Monday morning. It had already strung together four sessions of higher highs, and has managed to maintain that trend for another four! We’ve witnessed an additional increase of 60% from our observed low of 1.25 to yesterday’s new high of 2.00 on heavy volume throughout the week.

Momentous Entertainment Group, Inc. MMEG - We tagged MMEG in Wednesday morning’s premarket report, and that one has made a very nice two-day swing as well. From a low of .0017 to it reached .0038, which represents a 123% spike.

Imprimis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. IMMY – We also just want to remind readers of a signal we gave yesterday morning on IMMY, which had just begun to show signs of a bottom-bounce in the previous session. The stock did continue that trend with a modest 17% move to the upside, trading from a low of 2.12 to 2.48. The jump did occur on well over five times the 3-month average volume, so we’ll continue to observe this play, which has a chance to confirm its multi-day runner status with strong finish to the week.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PPCH Breakout & More

Propanc Health Group, Inc. PPCH

It didn’t require any patience on our part before we saw our bottom-watchlist from yesterday morning’s premarket report bear fruit. What we have in PPCH is an example of absolutely perfect timing.

After being mostly in a downtrend for a period that stretches all the way back to springtime, we ended up calling the bottom here with laser-like precision. The stock bulled its way up all day long, trading in a range from .008, through the penny barrier, and up to .017. That works out to an intraday pop of 112% and it came on nearly six times the monthly average volume.

The stock also managed to close just a tick below its high of day at .016, so we’re definitely going to be on the lookout for continued momentum. Yesterday wasn’t the first time we caught this play for triple-digit gains, and in all honesty, it probably won’t be the last.

Twitter, Inc. TWTR – Options Recap

In last Thursday’s morning report,  we presented an options idea for TWTR based on the setup of the chart; at the time it was trading in the mid-$18 range.

We put forth the TWTR 01/20 $19 and $20 Calls, to give ourselves the time needed to realize the upward move we suspected the stock would make, and it turned out to be another good idea. We saw a run to the mid-$19 level, and it facilitated the following performances in our target options:

01/20 $19 Calls – Range: .80-1.64 – Max Gain: 105%
01/20 $20 Calls – Range: .51-1.19 – Max Gain: 133%

Again, with that extended expiration date, we’ve still got all the time in the world to witness even further gains out of these contracts. That should start with with this morning’s opening bell, as TWTR is gapping up in the premarket once again.

Fresh Idea:

Lululemon Athletica, Inc. LULU – On the strength of a solid Q3 earnings release and the authorization of a $100M buyback program, LULU is looking strong, and we want to get in on the action by formulating a new options idea to correspond with the activity.

Yesterday the stock broke out of the channel, from roughly $54-58, that it had been stuck in for several weeks, so we’re going to be focusing our attention on the LULU Weekly $66.50-70 Calls.

MJP International Ltd. MJPI

We also want to recap the performance of another play from yesterday’s extended watchlist. MJPI appeared for the first time in our reports, and responded with a solid session.

From a low of .85 the stock traded as high as 1.18, marking a 39% pop on the day and like the aforementioned play, it too closed just a single increment below the high of day at 1.17, and will thus remain on our list going forward.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Cannabis Updates, Options & More

OWC Pharmaceutical Research Corp. OWCP

We hardly need to tell our regular readers that we caught and alerted OWCP last Thursday at a low of .0045, because it has appeared in every single one of our premarket reports since then.

It’s rare to come across a multi-day runner of any duration, but one that continues for the span of an entire week without so much as a hiccup is really something special. Yesterday the stock parlayed its four-day head of steam into another great intraday run from .0261-.0468, a jump 79%  That new high represented an overall five-session swing totaling 940%

Huge cheers go out to anyone who has participated in this epic run, which is part of the cannabis space, a sector that we’ve been tracking more closely as the landscape has been heating up. We’ll continue to track OWCP, not only for the potential of continued momentum, but for the eventual consolidation and subsequent bounceplay that’s sure to arise when that occurs.

Cannabis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. CNBX

Speaking of the cannabis space, another related play that appeared in yesterday’s report went on to have itself quite a nice single-session performance.

CNBX traded in a daily range from a low of .06 to .0819 on more than triple the monthly average volume, and closed at that high. That was good for a 37% move, and with the bullish close to consider, we’ll certainly want to keep a close eye on CNBX for the possibility of continued momentum.

Catalyst Pharmaceuticals, Inc. CPRX

We’d also like to take a minute to update readers on the performance of CPRX over the past couple of weeks, a stock that we tagged for observation back on September 16th. On that day we observed a low of .99, and CPRX hasn’t dipped below that point since.

Over the past couple of sessions, things have really ramped up, with the stock setting a new high of 1.58 yesterday, up 60% from our witnessed low. That occurred on the third highest traded volume in the stock’s history, and the highest number of shares traded in a single day since 2013.

Aurinia Pharmceuticals, Inc. AUPH

While we’re on the topic of pharma plays we’ve tagged recently that have taken off to new highs, we also have to make mention of AUPH. We placed this stock on watch in Monday morning‘s report, and the ensuing run has been solid enough to warrant continued observation.

From a low of 3.07, the stock traded up to 4.13 (+35%) on roughly four times the monthly average volume, and is gapping up this morning to around $5, extending that figure even higher.

Fresh Options Idea – Disney Co. DIS

We like the current setup of the DIS chart, and the chances for a long-term recovery, so we want to signal a range of extended term options calls to correspond with that.

We’re going to radar the DIS 11/11 $94-96 Calls and keep track over them in the weeks ahead. .
