Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Fresh Options Ideas, VAPE Recap & More

Fresh Options Ideas

The markets made a notable upturn following yesterday’s Fed meeting from which we learned that it will be proceeding with caution regarding a potential interest rate hike. The floundering world economy as well as trouble with low inflation domestically were cited as reasons behind the reticence. Despite the note of uncertainty, there is nothing ambiguous about the overall market sentiment at present, which is leading us to formulate some bullish ideas on the options-trading front.

SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY)

We’ve enjoyed tons of success trading SPY options in the past when we need a close analog of the markets as a whole, so it stands to reason that we call out a new idea for some SPY Calls this morning. We’re going to be paying attention to the SPY Weekly $204-206 Calls.

Apple, Inc. AAPL

AAPL seemed to enjoy a boost in the wake of the US Government’s dismissal of the federal court case which had embroiled the two in recent weeks. After enjoying a steady increases throughout the session, the stock is currently gapping up in the premarket. Our target range here is going to be AAPL Weekly $107-109 Calls.

Ambarella, Inc. AMBA

We flagged AMBA in yesterday’s watchlist and it too produced a bullish session. In addition to being connected with AAPL being a provider of internal hardware for Apple devices, AMBA received an upgrade from analysts at Morgan Stanley. We’ve got a corresponding options idea for this one as well. For this play, we’re looking to the AMBA Weekly $44-46 Calls.

Lulu Lemon Athletica, Inc. LULU

LULU is gapping this morning on the heels of an earnings beat, so we’re going to want to signal some calls here as well. This is another stock whose options chain has provided us with ammunition for extreme gains in the past. We’ll be monitoring the LULU Weekly $62-65.50 Calls.

With everything gapping up in the premarket, we’ll of course be on the lookout for possible dip-and-rip scenarios prior to the execution of any of these ideas.

Vape Holdings, Inc. VAPE

We can officially add VAPE to the list of cannabis-related stocks that we’ve witnessed making appreciable upswings this week. We added it to yesterday’s morning report as another pot-play to keep an eye on, and we’re immediately rewarded with a solid opportunity for some single-session gains.

VAPE traded in a range from .0106 to .017 on the day, giving traders the chance at profits of up to 60% The move came in conjunction with the announcement of another round of debt restructuring and consolidation (>>View PR).

We’ve added new cannabis candidates to our radar each day this week, and we’ll repeat that again today, pinning CANL and MCOA to our watchlist.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Pot Stocks, ALDR Recap & More

Max Sound Corp. MAXD

After congratulating ourselves on observing a 112% rip from MAXD after tagging it in Thursday morning’s premarket report the stock wasn’t finished. Just as a refresher, our observed low that morning was .0033 and the high came in at .007.

We said we wanted to keep tracking the stock due to a strong close and the momentum did indeed carry over into the new trading week. After the slightest dip to .006 first thing in the morning yesterday, MAXD once again took off northward, reaching a new high at an even penny.

The activity was good for isolated intraday gains of up to 67%, and at that penny high, it represented a two-session upswing of 203% over our observed low from Thursday. As long as MAXD continues to register higher base levels of support as it has done thus far, it will retain our attention.

Alder Biopharmaceuticals, Inc. ALDR

ALDR was an inclusion from yesterday’s watchlist as well, and we saw some excellent intraday gains, especially considering its elevated price range. We watched as it traded up from a low of 21.75 and reached a subsequent high of 27.79.

That represents a single-session advance of 28% which is all the more impressive coming from a $20+ stock. The move came on roughly fifteen times the 3-month average volume, and was facilitated by news of positive migraine study results.

Also included in our report yesterday was a list of marijuana stocks we’ve tracked over a period of years, that we wanted to revisit to kick off the week, as investor interest in the cannabis space seems to be on the rise of late. In addition to HEMP, which made a small double-digit increase but had a relatively modest session by comparison, the following pair each made gains of a more substantial nature:

GreenGro Technologies Corp. GRNH – First up, GRNH made an impressive daily swing as it traded in a range from .03-.05, for potential profits of up to 53% being made possible on the day.

Terra Tech, Inc. TRTC – The other runner was TRTC, which made a move from .33-.41, a 24% increase. We’re going to continue to reserve a spot on our radars for this one as well, especially with a post-market earnings call slated for this afternoon. (Click through to PR for participation info)

*We also have a reminder for our readers of a couple other pot plays we’ve tracked in the past that we’re going to be monitoring more closely in the light of increased sector activity: PHOT, VAPE

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: VAPE Recap, Options & More

Yesterday’s Winning Plays

Vape Holdings, Inc. VAPE – This stock has been appearing in our reports sporadically for several months, and yesterday we re-mentioned it just in the nick of time to allow ourselves to catch intraday gains of up to 98% as it surged from .0045 to .0089. It marked a single-session gain of 98% and was by far the most impressive play of the day.

_____

CTI BioPharma Corp. CTIC – We’ve been hot on the trail of CTIC since releasing our morning report last Wednesday, and yesterday the stock continued to push its upper limits as it has done each day since. On the morning of our initial alert we observed a low of .45 in CTIC, and as of yesterday’s high of .71 had seen a solid increase of 60% in a span of just four sessions.

_____

Arcis Resources Corp. ARCS – Despite falling to new daily lows over the course of the afternoon, ARCS did provide an opportunity for quick-witted traders right at the outset of the session. The stock rapidly ran from .0026-.0057, representing a shot at up to 119% in gains before the bottom fell out. The stock closed at its low of .002, so we may want to scan for the possibility of an upcoming bottom-bounce.

_____

Added Note: Seeing healthy activity out of VAPE and ARCS, both cannabis-related stocks, reminds us of another play in the space that has made some big moves for us in the past and has just started to come up off of a bottom. That’s why we’ll also be watching GreenGro Technologfies, Inc. GRNH in sessions to come.

 New Options Ideas

We want to signal a set of options ideas for each of the following retailers in the wake of earnings beats this morning. We’ll be tracking these calls for potential intraday/intraweek trade opportunities:

Macy’s, Inc. M – Macy’s earnings and guidance are engendering investor confidence in the firm’s ability to streamline its business in 2016, and adapt to the changing marketplace. The resultant chart activity has us interested in tracking M Weekly $41.50-45 Calls.

The Home Depot, Inc. HD – In this case, our target range is going to be the HD Weekly $125-129 Calls.   Home Depot issued its report citing record earnings, and restated its plans to move forward with an $11B share repurchase program to be transacted by the end of fiscal 2017.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Friday’s Big Movers & More

LifeLogger Technologies Corp. LOGG

LOGG ended the week on an extremely high note, which was particularly impressive considering the fact that we had already witnessed a fantastic 91% pop from .0995-.19 subsequent to our mention of it in Thursday’s morning report.

The stock would follow up one great performance with another, running from an early low of .17 to a new high of .30 on Friday morning. It represented an intraday run of 76%, and a two-day overall rise amounting to 202% Our heartiest congratulations to any of our readers who were along for the ride on this one!

We’ll be sure to keep tracking LOGG for as long as its activity continues to provide these excellent intraday chances.

Encompass Compliance Corp. ENCC

ENCC turned out to be our top-gaining prospect of the day on Friday  when all was said and done. After slowly ramping up from its low of .012 over the course of the morning, the stock suddenly took off in the last hour, streaking to a high of .025.

The move amounted to an intraday increase of 108% and ENCC closed at its high point as well, so we’ll definitely want to assume our standard position for instances such as these, monitoring the stock for continued momentum, in addition to dip-and-rip patterns that could lead to further opportunities down the road.

PCS Edventures!.com, Inc. PCSV

On Friday, we classed PCSV as a stock to watch over the longer-term, and while that’s still the case, it also produced immediate results of an impressive nature.

We witnessed the stock trading in a range from .025-.045, which amounted to a respectable 80% intraday move.  As previously stated, we feel the company’s recent entry into the fledgling sport of competitive drone racing warrants extended observation of this stock. (>>View PR)

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Reviewing Friday’s Big Winners & More

Friday’s Big Winners

We enjoyed a spectacular session on Friday, with quite a few of the stocks we flagged in our premarket report posting impressive intraday gains.

Cabo Verde Capital, Inc. CAPV

Chief among the big movers we were tracking was CAPV, which made an epic run from subpenny territory well into pennyland on more than 25-times its average monthly volume.

The stock broke out from an early low of .006 to touch .028, a hearty 324% swing. CAPV also managed to maintain more than 50% of its daily advance, and coupled with the level of volume we’ve witnessed, we’ll need to keep a spot on our radar screens reserved for this play for the possibility of a momentum carryover.

_____

Cardinal Resources, Inc. CDNL

Speaking of momentum movers, we began tracking CDNL closely starting with our morning report on Tuesday, after which time we observed a low of .0057. Subsequent to that, the stock has pressed higher in each of the ensuing four sessions leading up to a massive new high on Friday.

From a daily low of .015 it surged to a high of .0245, marking a 63% intraday rip, and an overall swing of 330% above our observed low on Tuesday. CDNL also closed with strength at .023 and thus will remain on our watchlist for the time being.

_____

Brownie’s Marine Group, Inc. BWMG

Additionally, we included BWMG on Friday’s Extended Watchlist, and were rewarded with a heck of a daily swing from this subpenny stock.

It traded in a range from .0034, and ran into the close to end the session at its high-of-day of .0075. That presented traders with the chance to bag up to 120% profit.

Home Depot, Inc. HD – Options Recap

Now, we’ll take an opportunity to review Friday’s action in a couple of options ideas that we identified on Wednesday as being high-potential, provided HD could continue its bullish push. The Weekly $127 and $128 Calls were our proposed targets, and the nice move HD itself made on Friday facilitated some huge chances for gain in our targeted contracts.

The $127 Calls ran from .65-2.88 for a nice 343% jump, which actually paled in comparison to the $128’s. Those exploded from .08 to 1.99- good for a mind-numbing 2387% single-session run!

We’ve actually had higher one-day percentage gains from a few other options ideas we’ve formulated this year, but this will certainly go down in the books as one of the biggest.

TerraForm Power, Inc. TERP

We also took notice of TERP after it had a big late-day run on Friday, followed by some after-hours Form-4 filings. We’re going to signal this one as a potential extended-term recovery play. We’ll need to see it continue to establish higher levels of support off of the new 52-week lows it registered on Thursday.
