Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Recap, New Ideas

Time Warner, Inc. TWX
– Options Update

Despite already having provided us with multi-bag gain chances in previous sessions, the  TWX Weekly $77-79 Calls that we signaled on Wednesday, once again made stellar runs on Friday. The figures even surpassed the prior moves we’d witnessed.

The single-session profits that were available were as follows:

$77 Calls
– Range:  .91-2.61 – Max Gain: 187%
$77.50 Calls – Range:  .42-1.59 – Max Gain: 279%
$78 Calls – Range: .26-1.20 – Max Gain: 362%
$78.50 Calls – Range: .10-.75 – Max Gain: 650%
$79 Calls – Range: .03-.29 – Max Gain: 867%

Box Ships, Inc. TEUFF

TEUFF is another play that we brought into the mix in our premarket report on Wednesday, and the stock responded with three straight sessions of setting new highs.

Friday saw the stock trading in a range from a low of .032 to the new high of .0438, representing an intraday rip of 37% From our observed low of TEUFF at .018 on Wednesday following our initial alert, that works out to a three-session upswing of 143%

That makes the sixth straight session of higher highs and higher lows for TEUFF, and as we stated on Friday morning, we’ll remain interested for as long as that pattern is maintained.

Terra Tech Corp. TRTC

We’ve tracked TRTC quite a bit over the years as one of our favorite plays in the cannabis sector. Having appeared in our articles over 30 times since 2012, TRTC started appearing in our reports again this year in January, April and May as we tracked it over a monumental 4-month-long run from .115 (01/13) to nearly .75; a mind numbing move approaching 550%

More recently, on August 1st we re-alerted TRTC, and  in the past week its begun another nice move up from a low of .389 to Friday’s high of .4875; a notable 25% move. If TRTC can hold support off of the 50DMA (.34) on any pullbacks, it will continue to hold our interest going forward.

QVC Group QVCA – Options Idea

We’re always on the lookout to take advantage of a stock that’s seen a rapid decrease in PPS, and QVCA fits that bill perfectly. On the heels of a mixed earnings release, as well as some shaky investor sentiment regarding the retail space, QVCA fell off of a cliff on Friday, setting a new annual low.

As a result, we’re going to track a couple of sets of longer-term ideas to leverage an eventual recovery for the stock to our advantage. We’ll be monitoring a ranges of contracts with differing expiration dates to give ourselves the nbest chance to seek out a winner. Our targets are going to be the QVCA 09/16 and 10/21 $21-23 Calls.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: BBEP Recap & Other Updates

Breitburn Energy Partners, Inc. BBEP – Another Update

After signaling BBEP in Thursday morning’s premarket report as a “Bankrupt Bottom-Bouncer” we witnessed a low of .055 followed by a 100% jump to a high of .11 on Friday.

As we were congratulating those who took advantage of the move in yesterday’s premarket report, we also mentioned that we’d remain interested in BBEP as long as it managed to maintain support above the .06-.065 range on any pullbacks. The stock achieved that feat right from the outset as it gapped up, opened at .078, and kept running.

We ultimately witnessed a trading range from that morning low of .078 up to a new high of .132. That represented an intraday upswing of 69% and a three-session swing of 140% over our observed low of .055 on Thurdsday.

We’ll continue to stay on the stock’s trail, watching for continued registering of higher lows and higher highs.

Terra Tech Corp. TRTC

When we began re-alerting and closely tracking an old favorite in TRTC toward the end of March, it was just coming off of a nice run-up that had followed a long period of mostly sideways trading.  Subsequent to that point we ended up clocking this play over an impressive range as it ran from a low of .2162-.7455; a 245% upswing in a period of just under three weeks.

Following that mega-move, the stock began to see a good deal of consolidation over the next few weeks. That came to an abrupt halt yesterday as the stock bounced off of a higher swing low at .2698 and managed a nice 30% increase. Now trading in the low-to-mid .30’s, we’re going to watch intently in coming sessions for the possibility of a protracted rebound.

 LendingClub Corp. LC

We took an interest in LC yesterday, alerting the stock as a potential bottom-bouncer in our morning report. It had been coming off of being egregiously oversold, and setting higher lows off of its 52-week lows for the preceding few sessions.

We ended up seeing a modest intraday run of 9% from 4.19-4.58, but most importantly, the stock registered higher lows and higher highs over the prior session, and we’ll keep tracking it for a continuation of that pattern We’ve pointed out on the chart below, a significant one-dollar gap that could be filled if the stock maintains the present trend, as well as an impending bullish cross on the MACD.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: GLBS Recap & More

Globus Maritime Ltd. GLBS – Update

GLBS was among the shipping sector plays that we were talking about in Friday morning’s premarket report, and it ultimately ended up being the most interesting one of the bunch. The sector as a whole seemed to be buzzing leading into Friday, and the activity that coincided in the GLBS chart, which made several tradeable swings on the day.

It started from the opening bell when the stock initially ran impressively from .66-1.63 for gains of up to 147% right off the bat. We then observed a pullback whereafter the stock bounced from .95 on up to the high of day at 1.78; that added an 87% rip. Subsequent to that, yet another dip and rip carried from .97-1.41, tacking on another 45% upswing.  In total, cumulative single-session gains for GLBS came in at 279% as the stock traded record volume.

We often search for plays with volatility of this magnitude because they can be excellent for quick intraday flips as GLBS demonstrated on Friday. We’ll be interested to see how it establishes itself as things get going this week. More opportunities may be on the horizon.

Bottom Watchlist

The following trio of stocks caught our interest off of our bottom-play scan this morning. In the case of RCPI we’ve got a stock that’s been steadily beaten back into heavily oversold territory, while BIOC and STX have both violently gapped down in recent sessions. We’ll have all three on extended watch for potential bounce-play opportunities.

Rock Creek Pharmaceuticals, Inc. RCPI
Biocept Pharmaceuticals,Inc. BIOC
Seagate Technology Public Ltd. Co. STX
