Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options, MILL Recaps & More

Miller Energy Resources, Inc. MILL

More often than not, when highlighting a stock that has recently recorded a new 52-week low, we’ve had very good fortune- yesterday’s premarket tag of MILL was no exception. It had just registered its annual bottom on Tuesday, and it set us up to bear witness to quite a respectable rebound.

From a low of .26, MILL surged as high as .38, marking an intraday pop of 46% and it happened on just over six times the 3-month average trading volume.

The move came in conjunction with an interesting sequence of events-Tuesday the company announced its significant doubt of its ability to continue as a going concern, which is what brought it to a new 52-week low. We caught it on the news scanner yesterday with a more positive message, regarding the receipt of a $33M tax credit from the State of Alaska and a potential loophole on the company’s debt in the form of a possible loan.

From this point forward we’d suggest an added note of caution pertaining to MILL on account of these somewhat mixed signals. The company is still in danger of filing for bankruptcy, but for our purposes, it turned out to be a nice mid-week bottom-play.

NuGene International, Inc. NUGN

We also wanted to point to another PR that hit the wires yesterday on a stock that we’ve been monitoring this summer. Back on June 15th, we tagged NUGN for observation and watched as it ran from 2.67-3.88 (+47%).

This week, after pulling back to find support at a low of 2.55, NUGN is rebounding back past the $3 mark. We’re going to want to watch it into next week, especially after the exposure that it’s set to receive this weekend.

Per a PR released yesterday the world-famous Kathy Ireland, whose namesake products NUGN distributes, will be doing a special on Fox Business Network (Sunday, 5:30pm ET) and Bloomberg International (Sunday, 8:30am CET, 3:00pm HKT, and 10:30am CDT). It’s called Worldwide Business with kathy ireland® and it will introduce a new line of stem cell-based skincare products. >> VIEW PR

Options Recap

It may be hard for some of our newer subscribers to believe, but most of the options calls we made yesterday morning ended up yielding chances at double-bag gains! Our regular readers won’t be surprised at all, as we routinely formulate such opportunities for options daytrades.

FitBit, Inc. FIT

All of the FIT Options ideas we signaled (Weekly $45.50-48 Calls) yesterday gave us the chance for notable gains, with the most significant action coming from the $46-48’s.

The $46 Calls initially ran 192% from 1.06-3.10, then dipped to a low of .79 before rebounding to 1.85 for an added 134% swing.

The $47’s first burst carried them from .96-2.24 (+133%) dipped to .45 closed at 1.20 (+166%)

$48 Calls went on a 93% run from .88-1.70, and pulled back to .40 before ripping back to .75 for a chance at an extra 87% gain.

___

Netflix, Inc. NFLX

Our ideas for NFLX Weekly $100-105 Calls are figuring to turn out quite nicely as well before the week is out.  In the image below we can see the closing prices on all of those contracts; with NFLX trading above $110 in the premarket, we expect to see all of those prices increased significantly as they’re pushed deeper into the money. We’ll be on the lookout for dip-and-rip scenarios for the remainder of the week and may consider rolling our strike prices up closer to the money, perhaps somewhere in the 107.14-111.43 range in the event the uptrend continues.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: TBIO Review & More

Transgenomic, Inc. TBIO

TBIO was included in yesterday’s morning report, and the stock recorded a notable session with the help of a favorable press release. The stock started out from an early low of 1.58, and ran 29% to 2.04, dipped back to 1.77 before going on to hit its high of day at 2.11, an added 19% swing. Volume was immense, to the tune of more than nine times the 3-month average.

The news release from yesterday was pertaining to the company’s claim that they’ve developed the most comprehensive test to date for the diagnosis of Leukodystrophy, a disorder that has been notoriously difficult to diagnose; in many cases taking years. >>VIEW PR

There are a number of attractive features of the TBIO chart even after the considerable run it has enjoyed over the past few days- The strengthening RSI just broke the 50-line, and the MACD is gearing up for a bullish cross.

We’ll look for TBIO to continue registering higher lows, preferably above the 50DMA of 1.76, and for it to test resistance in the channel between yesterday’s high of 2.11 and the 200DMA of 2.15. TBIO certainly has a history of making breakout-type moves; twice this year the stock has traded for more than 3.50.

New Options Ideas

We’ve identified a couple of fresh options ideas to pass along to our readers this morning. For each of the following movers, we’ll be on the lookout for the occurrence of a dip-and-rip scenario Both stocks are gapping up here in the premarket.

FitBit, Inc. FIT

For FIT, we are going to monitor Weekly Calls (Friday Expiration) in the $45.50-48 range. We want to pay close attention to them the next couple of sessions as FIT has been establishing higher highs and higher lows on the chart. We’re watching for a dip from profit-taking, and subsequent rebound. If and when that happens, we should see some nice action in the range we highlighted.

Netflix, Inc. NFLX

As for NFLX, which has brought us serious options trading success in the past, we’re going to look for chances in Weekly Calls priced from $100-105. The stock just underwent a forward split, and there is some precedent for price increases following such an event (e.g. AAPL).

Recapping Friday’s Options Ideas

We made it a point to pass along a handful of quick-strike options ideas on Friday. We mentioned the high-risk, high-reward nature of trading weekly contracts on a Friday, and we certainly were rewarded as every single idea we formulated bore fruit, to varying degrees.

Here’s a breakdown of the prime possibilities for profit that we observed:

Netflix, Inc. NFLX – The rather broad range we provided for NFLX were Weekly $595-612.50 Calls, and every set of contracts in that range made highly impressive moves:

$595 Calls – Daily Range: 6.58-23.00 – Max Gain: 250%
$597.50 Calls – Daily Range: 5.30-20.67 – Max Gain: 290%
$600 Calls – Daily Range: 3.63-18.02 – Max Gain: 396%
$602.50 Calls – Daily Range: 2.80-15.45 – Max Gain: 452%
$605 Calls – Daily Range: 1.10-12.82 – Max Gain: 1065%
$607.50 Calls – Daily Range: 1.00-10.62  – Max Gain: 962%
$610 Calls – Daily Range: .80-8.17 – Max Gain: 921%
$612.50 Calls – Daily Range: .53-5.54 – Max Gain: 945%

____

Apple, Inc. AAPL – Our idea for AAPL was the Weekly $128 and $129 Calls, and a relatively volatile outing brought several significant swing-trade opportunities in each:

$128 Calls started out by first trading from an early low of 1.06 to 1.58 (+49%). It then pulled back to find support at .53 before taking off again to hit .99 (+86%). That swing was followed another ranging from .43-.92 (114%), and then by a final dip to .53 and run back to .81 (+53).

$129 Calls traded with similar action; four distinct swings of  53%, 134%, 167% and 300% occurred during the session.
____

Petroleo Brasiliero S.A. (Petrobras) PBR – The PBR Weekly $10 Calls that we tagged for observation made a monster move from .03-.20, yielding the chance at gains of up to 566%

The stock is gapping up in the premarket today, so we’re going to continue keep our eyes on PBR. Our interest to start out the week will be in the Weekly $10 and 10.50 Calls for potential daytrade swing-trade opportunities.

____

Huge congratulations go out to any of our followers that were able to bank some hefty gains off of Friday’s excellent options ideas!

Pazoo, Inc. PZOO

We’re touching base with PZOO this morning to update our readers on what the stock has been up to lately. Many of you will recall the monumental April this stock had; we initiated coverage on April 1st, and PZOO essentially spent the entire month on an uptrend. The total range we observed over the course of the month went from .0049 to .0204, which amounted to an epic 316% swing.

We put the stock on the back burner this month as it consolidated off of those impressive highs, and we want to rehash our interest in this play now that it appears to be headed toward its next leg-up. We’d also suggest that folks check out the PR released by the company on Friday, which alludes to its partner’s ribbon-cutting on the Nevada medical marijuana testing facility that we’ve been anticipating.

We’ve prepared a video outlining the key aspects of the PZOO Chart:

MagneGas Corp. MNGA

We also want to pat ourselves on the back for a timely call of MNGA on Friday. We caught the news release highlighting the company’s contract with the US Navy, and it was enough to send the stock on a respectable intraday rip.

MNGA traded in a daily range from 1.08-1.48, which represented a healthy increase of 37% The move occurred on over 17X the 3-month average trading volume, and the stock closed just under the high of day, so we’ll be interested to see how the action unfolds as we kick off a new trading week today.

Fresh Options Ideas

As we head into the end of another excitement-filled week, we’ve zeroed in on some options ideas for daytrading that could yield positive results. Friday is always an interesting time to trade weekly options; premiums are lowered significantly due to time decay, creating just the kind of high-risk, high-reward environment for which we are always on the lookout.

We have extensively used the options chains of all of the following high-profile stocks to bank enormous gains in the past (PBR Archive, AAPL Archive, NFLX Archive):

Netflix, Inc. NFLX – When we last touched upon NFLX the stock was trading in the high-$300 to $400 range, and since then it has made a monstrous move to its current base in the high-$500’s.

The stock appears to want to gap up this morning into the $600+ range; we’re going to be on the lookout for a dip-and-rip scenario, and as usual, we’ll provide a range where we think the heaviest action will fall- in this case we’re going to monitor NFLX Weekly $595-612.50 Calls.

Strategies may require adjustment on-the-fly as trading kicks off; we’ll start off with in-the-money calls, keeping in mind that we’ll need to roll up our strike prices, should the stock continue to run.

____

Apple, Inc. AAPL – It’s been some time since we ventured into Apple territory. To close out the week, we’re going to be monitoring the Weekly $128 and $129 Calls for potential quick-strike opportunities.

____

Petroleo Brasiliero S.A. (Petrobras) PBR – This old-time favorite has been on a steady incline since March, and recently has been flirting with the $10-level. That has made the PBR Weekly $10 Calls good for intraday flips all week long, and we wouldn’t be surprised if the same were true today. We’ll need to see the stock hold support at or above 9.85 on any pullbacks in order to remain interested.

MagneGas Corp. MNGA

We want to keep a sharp watch over MNGA which is gapping up on the heels of this morning’s big announcement of a contract with a branch of the US Military.

The company also launched a new website earlier this week that you can check out here: www.magnegas.com

Banro Corp. BAA

We also want to quickly pat ourselves on the back for the timely tag of BAA that we placed in yesterday’s extended watchlist. It was the first time the stock has appeared in our reports in almost a year, and it produced the chance for a nice intraday gain.

From an early low of .2991, BAA traded up to a high of .353, a respectable 18% jump. We’ll keep our eyes on this one into next week.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Trading Success & More

Netflix, Inc. NFLX – Options

We’ve been hot on the trail of the NFLX options chain beginning on Wednesday of last week, and have had an incredible opportunity to make some astonishing gains in the process.

The specific contracts we cited as having intraweek flip potential were the $395 and $410 Calls, and the upper limits of each were once again pushed on Friday.

The $395 Calls in which we observed a low of 12.18 on Thursday, entered a new high into the books as they ran to 43.70, and pushed the total increase we’ve witnessed in just a few sessions to a highly respectable 259%

The $410 Calls, following our alert on Thursday registered one of the best single session moves we can remember since we first began to include options ideas in our daily reports (Nearly 700%). Those contracts, which of course we witnessed at a low of 2.44 just one session prior, continued to explode and set new high of 28.90. That marks an intraweek move of 1084%, so you’ll certainly understand why we want to pat ourselves on the back for an awesome call!

With our first thousand-percent gainer of the year officially on the books, it’s safe to say that we’re setting the bar high for 2015!

GoPro, Inc. GPRO – Options

On the same morning that we first highlighted the NFLX Calls, we also tagged GRPO Calls. We specifically marked the $48 and $49 Calls and witnessed monumental moves out of each over the course of the week as GPRO topped the $53-dollar mark on Friday.

We’re going to continue to monitor GPRO this week on the heels of Friday’s PR which is one source of the huge move on the chart. GoPro announced a partnership with the NHL that will allow in-game footage from player-worn cameras to be piped into broadcasts.

NEW YORK and TORONTO, Jan. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — The National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Hockey League Players’ Association (NHLPA) today announced a North American partnership with GoPro >> FULL PR

SITO Mobile Ltd.  SITO

In addition to our great options alerts, we were not without success in the penny-stock arena. We spent most of last week tracking SITO to some impressive gains, and it too continued to push the envelope on Friday.

If you recall, our observed low on this play was following Wednesday morning’s alert when the stock briefly touched a low of .1489. During Friday’s session SITO would stretch as high as .318.

That represents a overall spike of 114% in just a three-session span, so congratulations to all who took part!
