Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PEP Surges & More

PepsiCo, Inc. PEP

Pepsi had a solid across the board beat following its premarket earnings release yesterday, and we seized opportunity to include theĀ  PEP Weekly $124-125 Calls in our morning report.

A five-dollar intraday run by the stock allowed for some very nice opportunities to profit in our pair of targets. The $124 Calls ran from .72-3.40 for a big 372% rip, while the $125’s traded from .32 to 2.45; a gain of 666%

Verb Technology, Inc. VERB

This stock is a newcomer to the NASDAQ, having only recently uplisted from the OTCQB, which has been the subject of a selloff over the past six weeks. That was kicked into another gear earlier this month when the company announced that its move to the NASDAQ would be accompanied by a $20M offering at roughly half the market price at the time.

Now that it has fallen well below the offering price, and indicators are suggesting a rebound may be in order, we are going to flag this play for observation in the days and weeks ahead.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: TROV, PULM Reviews

Pulmatrix, Inc. PULM

We highlighted this stock in Friday morning’s premarket report, and were immediately paid potential dividends as PULM made a very solid intraday push. From a low of 1.33, PULM surged as high as 2.33 on the day. That represents a single-session gain of 75% which occurred on huge volume.

It was also sufficient to secure PULM the #2 slot on the NASDAQ top gainers list for the day. We’ll be sure to monitor its activity as we kick off the fresh trading week, in the event of a momentum spillover.

TrovaGene, Inc. TROV

Also appearing in Friday morning’s report was a reminder on TROV. We signaled this stock for observation at the end of January. It tapered back slightly to find support at a low of 2.54, and reached an impressive mark of 9.65 on Friday morning. That worked out to move of 280% in a span of roughly five weeks.

Big Lots, Inc. BIG – Options Recap

We also had the BIG 03/15 $35 & $37.50 Calls on watch in Friday’s report, and those worked out fantastically, thanks to a very nice daily performance from the stock. The $35 Calls ran hard from a low of .50 and up as high as 2.40- a move of 380% The $37.50’s dwarfed that move, exploding from a low of ,07 to .75, which works out to a daily increase of 971%

The Boeing Co. BA – Fresh Idea

We’re also going to be looking to short Boeing early on this week with the BA Weekly $375-367.50 Puts, after a disaster for an Ethiopian Airlines flight claimed 149 lives on a brand new Boeing MAX-8 737 a mere 6 minutes after takeoff. It’s all but certain to cause near-term issues for BA stock, which has already been on the decline this month.

Blue Horseshoe Stock: INSE Update & More

Inspired Entertainment Inc. INSE – Update

Yesterday morning, we placed INSE on recovery watch in the wake of its quarterly reporting. We cited the attractive bottom-bounce that was in effect as the markets had tanked the previous day and INSE managed to buck that trend.

Our instincts about this play turned out to be very good, with the stock piling on yet another very solid trading session. The stock’s low came in right at the opening price of 3.86 and it never looked back. INSE ran up to 5.23, representing a respectable single-session rise of 35%

It also closed just three cents lower than the high of day, setting us up to see if the stock can continue to build upon the momentum it has thus far exhibited.

DSW, Inc. DSW

We’d also like to formulate a fresh options idea for the DSW chain, after noticing an attractive chart setup. The stock has been trading at its lowest PPS since May, which when coupled with solid earnings and guidance in this morning’s quarterly report, could make for just the right conditions to strike on some options trades.

We’re going to signal interest in the DSW 12/21 $22.50 & $25 Calls, and keep those on watch throughout the rest of the week and into the next.
