Options Recaps, 5-Pack of Fresh Ideas

Recapping Friday’s Movers:

Things played out very much like we suspected they would on Friday, as we capped off an exceptional trading week with some solid options ideas. We came up with a pair of quick-strike plays, as well as a couple of longer-term targets with September expirations. Both of the weekly ideas we floated ended up posting some pretty good intraday upswings.

Those ideas were the NVDA Weekly $420 Puts and the IONQ Weekly $14.50-15 Calls, and each of them produced the following multibag gain possibilities on the day:

NVDA Weekly $420 Puts
$420:
3.45-13.43 (+289%)
_____

IONQ Weekly $14.50-15 Calls
$14.50: .93-3.10 (+233%)
$15: .50-2.65 (+430%)
_____

We also saw new highs in the APP 08/18 $35-37.50 Calls which we flagged for observation on Thursday and reported on Friday. That considerably increased the percentage gains we had seen the previous session. The following figures represent the overall two-day swing:

APP 08/18 $35-37.50 Calls
$35:
.70-4.50 (+543%)
$37.50: .24-2.35 (+879%)

Huge Stock Moves & More

Rite Aid Corp. RAD – Review

We were just talking about RAD in our premarket report from last Friday, and we wanted to close out this week by bring up the very respectable run it has produced. The morning of our report, the stock saw a low of 12.11, and subsequently registered a new high yesterday at 19.22 (+59%). As of the premarket high of 22.44 established in the premarket this morning, we’ve witnessed a one-week run of 85% from Rite Aid.

We’re also going to signal a couple of different sets of options ideas to track in the RAD chain over the next week, and beyond. We’re going to radar the RAD 1/03 $21-23 Calls, as well as the RAD 04/17 $27-30 Calls.

Other Updates

We also wanted to highlight some mega-moves made by stocks we’ve placed on watch recently, once again proving conclusively that options aren’t our only forte.

We tagged Clearside Biomedical, Inc. CLSD in our extended watchlist on October 18th, and witnessed a low of .75 the following day. The stock has been gradually ramping its way up in the several weeks since then, continually registering new highs, of which it hit 3.95 yesterday. That’s an incredible increase of 427%
____

We put Oncolytics Biotech, Inc. ONCY on watch back on November 14th, and have watched as the stock began to edge its way up, before absolutely exploding over the last week. Our observed range on this one in just over a month has been .82-2.92, a gain of 256%
____

Many of our longer term readers will remember how significant the gains were out of OWC Pharmaceutical Research Corp. OWCP as we first came across it at the end of 2016 when it went on a mega run from subpenny levels to over 2.00. When it appeared in yesterday’s watchlist it was time to start paying close attention to it again. OWCP made a 94% intraday move yesterday from a low of .028 to a high of .0543. Volume has been ramping up the last few sessions and with this type of momentum, we’ll definitely continue to keep an eye on it.

SPDR S&P500 (ETF) SPY – Options Explode

Yesterday morning we added a fresh options trading idea for the SPY chain, namely the Weekly $289.50-291 Calls and we are happy to report that not only was our idea spot-on, but the intraday gains made possible were rather eye-popping.

Here are the total possible profits that our readers could have snagged in a single session on the strength of our ideas, including an incredible NINE-BAGGER!

SPY Weekly $289.50-291 Calls

$289.50 Calls – Range: 1.10-2.61 – Max Gain: 137%
$290 Calls – Range: .73-2.29 – Max Gain: 214%

Fresh Idea:
BBBY Weekly $13-12 Puts

Ocugen Inc. OCGN

We also want to provide a brief update on another recent call we made, with OCGN. We tagged this one for observation as a bottom-play this past Friday morning, and already we’ve seen a pretty good swing to the upside.

The stock has traded in a range from 1.22-2.04 this week, marking a respectable  move of 67%  We’ll be interested to see if it can continue to register new highs for us in coming sessions.

Sundial Growers, Inc. SNDL

We are seeing a very intriguing potential play on cannabis grower SNDL this morning. The recently-IPO’d stock has taken a bath in the two months following its first trades, having already been embroiled in a class-action suit. Yesterday the company showed that the claims of the lawsuit are essentially baseless, and the PPS began to recover.

We’re going to keep a close eye on the activity here in the days and weeks ahead, as the technicals of the chart are screaming upside potential at the present time. Not to put the cart before the horse, but we feel that a double from current pricing would not be out of the realm of realistic possibility.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: PEP Surges & More

PepsiCo, Inc. PEP

Pepsi had a solid across the board beat following its premarket earnings release yesterday, and we seized opportunity to include the  PEP Weekly $124-125 Calls in our morning report.

A five-dollar intraday run by the stock allowed for some very nice opportunities to profit in our pair of targets. The $124 Calls ran from .72-3.40 for a big 372% rip, while the $125’s traded from .32 to 2.45; a gain of 666%

Verb Technology, Inc. VERB

This stock is a newcomer to the NASDAQ, having only recently uplisted from the OTCQB, which has been the subject of a selloff over the past six weeks. That was kicked into another gear earlier this month when the company announced that its move to the NASDAQ would be accompanied by a $20M offering at roughly half the market price at the time.

Now that it has fallen well below the offering price, and indicators are suggesting a rebound may be in order, we are going to flag this play for observation in the days and weeks ahead.
