Major Options Movers, New Plays

Options Rehash:

Finally, we saw a really good session for the markets yesterday, after weeks of what seems like losses stacked on top of losses for stocks in general. It has made our daily routine slightly more challenging, along with a relative dry spell for earnings releases, but we’re still over here chugging along, and today we’ve got some pretty good gainers to report.

The sole quick-strike play we offered up yesterday was the SPY 10/03 $359-361 Calls, and we’ve also got a couple of longer-term selections from the week before last that have made major moves up until now. We signaled the MEDP 10/21 $155-165 Calls, and the TCOM 10/21 $25-26 Calls on the 21st and 22nd of September, respectively, and as you can see below, they’ve put up some very nice numbers to this point.

Wrapping Up a Challenging Yet Fruitful Week

Yesterday’s Movers:

The end of another trading week is upon us, and while market conditions have certainly made it a challenge, we’ve still been able to log some pretty good ideas and subsequent chances for traders to benefit. Yesterday morning’s premarket report yielded three out of four movers, and while the gains weren’t off the charts, there were still solid plays to be made.

Our movers for the day were the TCOM 10/21 $25-26 Calls, the LEN Weekly $75-76 Calls, and the DRI 10/21 $125 Puts, and the modest-to-intermediate gains they registered on the session were as follows:

Global Tech Industries Group, Inc. GTII – OTC Recap:

We caught a pretty good gainer with GTII on yesterday morning’s extended watchlist. The stock posted a nice little breakout for us that fell just shy of producing a double-bag gain opportunity for us. GTII ran from a low of .93 and went on to hit its daily high at 1.78. That works out to a single-session run of 93% and it came on the stock’s second-highest volume day of all time!

Another Pair of Options Bangers, Fresh Plays

Big Time Options Runners:

Yesterday was a very interesting day on the markets, as the Fed Meeting predictably threw an element of extreme volatility into the mix that typically helps swing traders such as ourselves and most of our readers. The activity sent the SPY 09/21 $386-385 Puts, which we signaled for observation on Tuesday morning, into an absolute frenzy of multibag movement.

We also had signaled a longer-term set of calls in the GIS 10/21 $77.50-80 Calls, yesterday morning, and General Mills bucked the trend so heavily that we didn’t even have to wait days or weeks for the idea to mature, as is often the case with our signals that have expiration dates weeks or months into the future. Those too made excellent moves during what turned out to be a very exciting trading day.

SPY 09/21 $386-385 Puts
$386:
 .73-9.03 (+1137%)
$385: .50-7.98 (+1496%)
_____

GIS 10/21 $77.50-80 Calls
$77.50:
 1.60-4.40 (+175%)
$80: .62-2.50 (+303%)
