Blue Horseshoe Stocks: SGSI News Alert

Spectrum Global Solutions, Inc. SGSI – Update

In our initial report on SGSI, one of the things we commented on liking most about SGSI is the rapidity with which the company has been pulling down new clients and growing its business in 2018. This morning, we’re going to start things off by relaying a new PR to that effect on to our readers.

(GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Spectrum Global Solutions, Inc. (OTC:SGSI) (the “Company”), a single-source provider of end-to-end next-generation wireless and wireline network services and staffing solutions to the service provider (carrier) and corporate enterprise markets, today announces that it has received over $500,000 in new contract awards to support carrier network upgrades across the United States. Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Options Updates

Zillow Group, Inc. Z – Update

Last Wednesday just prior to the Thanksgiving break, we submitted a range of options ideas on Zillow, which we caught at a relative bottom after noticing some hefty Form-4 submissions. Our targeted options were the Z 01/18 $30-40 Calls, and in the two-and-a-half sessions since we’ve seen excellent multi-bag gain opportunities.

Every single strike price worked out nicely, with the following moves:

$30 Calls – Range: 1.57-4.37 – Max Gain: 178%
$35 Calls – Range: .57-1.72 – Max Gain: 202%
$40 Calls – Range: .10-.50 – Max Gain: 400%

Facebook, Inc. FB – Update

Then on Friday, after the holiday we spotted a bottom play in FB, and jumped on that with another longer term set of options ideas, the FB 01/18 $135-145 Calls. We’ve had some appreciable movement in those as well, and wanted to share those figures.

$135 Calls – Range: 5.94-8.21 – Max Gain: 38%
$140 Calls – Range: 3.88-5.50 – Max Gain: 42%
$145 Calls – Range: 2.24-3.50 – Max Gain: 56%

As is the case with the aforementioned plays, it’s a good start, but with plenty of time remaining until expiration, we’ll definitely continue to track these ideas in the days and weeks ahead.

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Quick Strike Ideas

India Globalization Capital, Inc. IGCC

First up this morning is a recap of IGCC following its inclusion in our premarket extended watchlist yesterday. The stock didn’t blow its lid, but it did continue the solid run of intraday performances off of its lows from earlier this week which were precipitated by the company’s recent delisting from the NASDAQ down to the OTC Markets.

The stock traded in a range from 1.22-1.84 before tapering back off, which stood as an intraday gain of 51% We’re going to look for IGCC to continue to fill the remaining gap on the chart. As you can see on the included snapshot, the MACD is also beginning to converge toward a bullish cross.

Fresh Options Ideas*:

Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. BABA – After beating on earnings and missing on revenues, BABA surged this morning, making it our prime bullish target among companies that reported their quarterly earnings today. We’re going to focus on the BABA Weekly 152.50-160 Calls*.
_____

SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) – We’ve had some good luck with the SPY this week, which isn’t all that surprising when considering the fact that we have a long documented history of success with this fund. We’re so deep in the money with our previously targeted calls, that we’re going to go ahead and roll up our potential strike prices to the SPY Weekly $274.50-276 Calls* as we close out the week.
_____

Weight Watchers International, Inc. WTW – Strangely enough, despite also beating on earnings and missing on revs like the aforementioned play, WTW took a gut punch and appears on track for a bearish session. We’re going to be tracking the WTW Weekly $58.50-56.50 Puts* as a result.

Bonus Idea: AMD Weekly $20-21 Calls*

*NEVER trade weekly options on a Friday unless you’re an expert level trader with disposable funds!

Morgan Stanley MS – Recap

Morgan Stanley had a solid beat on profits yesterday in its premarket Q3 earnings report, which led us to signal interest for the MS Weekly $43.50 & $44 Calls in our report.

It turned out to be an excellent set of ideas, which each contract making a hundred percent move or better. With the market on the rebound, it was like taking candy from a baby, and we may see more similar activity if we get another strong session as a whole.

The 43.50 Calls ran from a low of 1.32 and reached 2.65 for an intraday gain of 101% while the range on the $44’s was .85-2.20, going down as a single session move of 159%

Fresh Options Ideas

SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) – Should the markets be in for another day of recovery after last week’s backslide, we’re going to also be interested in tracking the activity of the SPY Weekly $279-280.50 Calls.

Netflix, Inc. NFLX – We’ll also take advantage of the market resurgence with an idea pertaining to the NFLX chain. We’ll have our eyes on the NFLX Weekly $377.50-385 Calls as well.

Moody’s Co. MCO – Lastly, we like the technical setup of the Moody’s chart, along with its volatility. It may produce some good chances in the  MCO 11/16 $170-180 Calls, so we’re going to throw those on our track list as well.
