Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Reviewing Recent Winners

STOCK RECAPS

Much of our focus gets devoted to options ideas these days, as they represent the greatest chance for large short term gains for traders. However, we still scan every day for stocks, and we wanted to begin this new trading week by highlighting a few of our recent picks that have met or exceeded our expectations.

Bio-Path Holdings, Inc. BPTH – Beginning with the least recent, roughly five weeks ago on January 23rd, BPTH was a stock we tagged as a bottom-watch play. The stock essentially traded sideways for the next month, only making nominal gains. That is until the latter half of last week, when it began to heat up on Thursday, and subsequently explode on Friday, performing beautifully on the day. The stock logged the number one gain on the entire NASDAQ, as it traded up from a low of 2.65 before reaching a high of 8.84.

That works out to a mind-melting 234% single-session rise on massive volume, which is extremely uncommon for big board plays. Cheers to anyone who caught a ride on this shooting star!
_____

Lexicon Pharma, Inc. LXRX – Appearing in Friday morning’s report was LXRX, which certainly didn’t see the level of activity as the previously mentioned play, but still posted positive figures on the day. From a low of 5.55, the stock rose as high as 7.07, marking a comparatively small but respectable intraday increase of 27%
_____

China Internet Nationwide Financial Services, Inc. CIFS – Also included in Friday’s report was CIFS, which also had a reasonably strong session following our alert. The low came in at 2.30 before the stock surged into the close at its high of day of 3.25. That represents a solid intraday gain of 41% We’ll also want to see if the stock can carry some of that momentum at the close, over to this fresh trading week.

Funko, Inc. FNKO – Options Review

We also signaled our interest in the FNKO 03/15 $22.50 & 25 Calls on Friday, and we got solid performances out of those contracts. The $22.50 Calls ran from .28-.70 for a gain of 150%
while the $25 also recorded a 150% pop from .10-.25.

Fresh Options Ideas:
SPY 03/04 $280.50-282 Calls*

*Never trade options on their day of expiration unless you are a highly experienced trader with access to disposable funds!

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: Huge Day for MYO & More

Myomo, Inc. MYO

We were just mentioning yesterday to kick off the week, how our mention of MYO in Friday’s premarket report. and how it had run from 10.10 to 18.20 for an 80% move on big volume. We stated our ongoing interest in the stock, and even cautioned that a dip-and-rip formation could materialize early on before MYO went on to confirm its status as a multi-day runner.

We don’t own a crystal ball, but you might have had a hard time believing that yesterday. The stock behaved precisely as we suggested it may, pulling back slightly in the first 15 minutes of the session before embarking on a day-long bull run to new highs.

MYO dipped to 14.51 before ripping its way to 23.20, for an intraday push of 60% and a two-session swing from our observed low on Friday (10.10) amounting to 130% We can’t remember the last time we called a ten dollar stock and saw it record a double-bagger inside of two days, but it doesn’t happen very often for stocks trading at a high multiple. Cheers to anyone who was along for the ride!

ReWalk Robotics Ltd. RWLK

We also want to give ourselves a quick pat on the back for spotting RWLK  in the premarket yesterday and including it in our report. The stock had just begun to inch up on Friday, but yesterday its run realy kicked into gear.

RWLK ran from a low of 1.40-1.95 for a modest yet solid intraday pop of 39%, but that figure has been notably extended in the premarket this morning with a new high of 2.10, which pushes our observed range in under 24 hours to an even 50%

We’ll look for RWLK to establish higher highs and higher lows once again to confirm it as a multi-day runner and stay interested in tracking it moving forward.

Delcath Systems, Inc. DCTH

We also want to do a recap of DCTH, which we last mentioned at the beginning of last week on the 12th. Subsequent to that report, we observed as DCTH saw a low of .0413 the following day. Despite having a little trouble breaking through resistance in later sessions, yesterday did the trick as the stock hit .10, marking a move of 142% in the span of one trading week.

Enphase Energy, Inc. ENPH

ENPH has slowly but surely been making some headway in coming up off of its annual lows established in May, but this morning the stock is gapping considerably, into the ninety-cent range.

We want to place this stock on watch in the wake of what we believe to be the catalyst for this activity – an Edgar filing alluding to a “Master Licensing Agreement” the company granted to Flextronics Industrial, Ltd. (>>View 8-K)

Blue Horseshoe Stocks: News Plays & Special Reminder

Aeterna Zentaris, Inc. AEZS

AEZS is gapping up this morning on the heels of some news. It’s been quite a few months since we last mentioned this stock. That was back in the fall, and we subsequently witnessed quite a surge from the stock after that.

Since then, so far in 2017 the stock has come down to record new annual lows, and recently has been making incremental increases off of that bottom. In light of today’s news, described below, we think it’s a good time to put AEZS back on a more intensive watch.

The company announced this morning, following a comprehensive review Phase 3 clinical data on Macrilen™ for the evaluation of growth hormone deficiency, that Macrilen™ demonstrated performance supportive of achieving registration with the FDA. The FDA has agreed to consider the Company’s conclusions during a Type A meeting, which is currently being scheduled. (>>View PR)

Zosano Pharma Corp. ZSAN

Speaking of fresh news plays, we also want to highlight the announcement coming from ZSAN this morning that presently has the stock gapping up in the premarket to the tune of 50%

This morning ZSAN reported that in its ZOTRIP pivotal efficacy study, the company’s M207 transdermal migraine therapy patch met both primary, as well as secondary endpoints. It certainly explains the premarket hoopla, and warrants our observation as we kick off a new trading week.

The chart also has some attractive features which we’ve pointed out on the snapshot below:
